Normally I wouldn’t like anything Kate did, but ever since she married Stefano, I’ve warmed up some, but yesterday she was on fire. E.J. is such a bully, or at least he tries to be, but not with Kate. She really gave it to him, even when he pulled her phone out of her hand and threw is across the room. But, she got her say in and she made it very clear what she thought of him, regardless of how she felt about Sami. She knows what he is, and I’m counting on her one day to be right in the middle of the pack when E.J. goes down. Now, Kate making nice with Sami was much harder for me to believe, knowing how Stefano would feel when he finds out, so although she had my undivided attention and my best cheers while she was reaming out E.J., I’m afraid her bonding and plotting with Sami may cause her more harm than she could have imagined when Stefano returns. Anyway, loved Kate’s acting … always have … so go Kate …. put that weasel in his place, and if he threatens you again, remind him that you, too, have sons in power, who thankfully you happen to be on good terms with right now. Loved Kate’s rant on E.J. yesterday!
November 30, 2010 at 2:50 pm #18577luckeyParticipantwhat he dishes out! His smug facial expressions are so much a part of the truly disgusting personality of EJ. At least the writers do give him paybacks now and then; but, in my opinion they don’t happen often enough.
November 30, 2010 at 3:09 pm #18580BonbonParticipant1. EJ threw her phone across the room, she leaves, then takes a call on her cell at the hospital. Does she carry two phones?
2. I don’t understand where this sudden vitriole toward EJ came from. Other than tossing her aside after their brief affair, what has he done to make her so angry? I can’t believe that she has that much interest in "his" kids to be upset with him for taking them away from Sami, whom she has always despised anyway.
November 30, 2010 at 3:19 pm #18582luckeyParticipantsomething to Sami and Rafe about Sami’s family also being part of hers and that is why she feels a need to help. I know it sounds a bit lame, but that was probably the lame writers’ way of connecting Kate and Sami in a working relationship.
November 30, 2010 at 3:39 pm #18583NoraParticipantThats what I was thinking, maybe Kate was thinking of Allie and Will, her grandchildren) not being able to see their sister and brother.
Speaking of Kate, her blue streak in her hair is now spread to the rest of her head. LOL. I think it actually looks better that way then just one stupid streak in the front.
November 30, 2010 at 4:39 pm #18585trykeryderParticipantThe writers may be giving him some payback, but it seems he doesn’t realize it. He takes it all as a joke. Can’t wait until the joke’s on him.
November 30, 2010 at 9:31 pm #18593BonoSugaRayParticipantAgreed! And let’s not forget all the DISGUSTING/HORRIBLE things Kate has done…She has some nerve to cop an attitude towards EJ like that. I think she’s just scared…worried that word will get back to Stefano (that’s the only reason why she’s willing to "help" Samantha Brady-Horton-DiMera-Hernandez out). smh…TEAM EJ! TEAM EJ!
December 2, 2010 at 2:14 am #18665majencoParticipantI loooved the fact that she didn’t let EJ intimidate her. Her bond with Sami is her grandchildren who are directly related to Johnny and Sydney. I hope Kate gives EJ a taste of his own attitude.
December 2, 2010 at 2:10 pm #18677caseyParticipant1) Calling Sami about EJ taking the kids didn’t make sense, as if/when it comes out, she loses out w/both Stef and EJ.
2) Divulging the paternity secret was even dumber with no advantage to her and when Stef finds out it will be even worse than #1.
Kate is too smart to be written this way (Luckey’s above comment is right on) and once again, Days justifies anything for da plot.December 2, 2010 at 7:23 pm #18686DeeLanParticipantI had a thought last night that perhaps Kate remembers what it was like to have her kids ripped away from her (Billie and Austin). How she was led to believe they were dead for all those years. That could be part of her disgust of EJ and why she warned Sami. Even though she doesn’t care for Sami she doesn’t want her or Will to go through what she did.
December 2, 2010 at 9:15 pm #18689caseyParticipantKate said the very thing today. But of course it backfired on her as I figured.
December 3, 2010 at 3:52 am #18700PattiParticipantLK is one of the better actresses on this show. She was fantastic again today. Boy, she can give as good as she gets.
December 3, 2010 at 9:52 pm #18716zsuzsaParticipantShe has always been my most hated character. EJ I love to hate, Nicole is likably complicated, and I’ve never understood why I cheer for Sami , but I’ve always just hated Kate. She never had her own storylines, just trying to sabotage and kill the love interests of her children. But since she has been married to Stefano, she has become much more interesting. All of her relationships have become more complicated, and trying to figure out if loves Stefano or hates him, while watching her trying to navigate life in Dimansion, has made Kate much more enjoyable for me to watch. Talking about having two of her children taken away made her more human. I hope that she and Stefano stay together – they are the perfect match made in hell! If she works with Sami and Rafe to bring down EJ, I could really grow to like her!
December 4, 2010 at 4:15 pm #18727PattiParticipantKate has not only become ‘tolerable,’ but she has softened and I find myself ‘trusting’ her more and more. I can’t say that I trust her completely but I do think she has prioritized her intentions more, and we were reminded of that when she first saw a need to help Chad and Sami, and now again, when she spoke of Curtis taking Austin and Billie. It would be hard for me not to consider that she has always been a damn shrew where family is concerned, especially when it comes to Sami. By the way, zsuzsa, I’m glad to see a fellow poster who has not thrown Sami completely under the bus. It’s time for these writers to give Ali a break and stop defecating on her character. I don’t want to see the old fierce, vindictive Sami return, but a little somewhere between the now and the then would be nice. She and Rafe are ideal together, so don’t mess with that, please.
