I guess we are supposed to believe that Dan will look at the heart, figure out somehow it belongs to Jennifer, then run fast back to the prison and plug it back in place just in time to save her. Oh, I guess Lee has Jennifer on life support following the cardioectomy and just forgot to flip the off switch. Yeah, right.
I read the synopsis on Salem Spectator and thought OMG, this is so ridiculous I couldn’t possibly watch. Then I tuned it for the few minutes Jen was pleading with Lee, walked away and came back as Lee was saying something about Jen’s heart and was the other person ready. So was Lee the surgeon? Neither one had on masks. This whole thing is ridiculous and stupid, stupid, stupid. Doc – "Hey, I need a heart." Warden – "Sure, we’ll get one for you." Who cares if the blood types don’t match, who cares if we sneeze or cough or don’t wash our hands, who cares if Lee has never had medical training; she probably got her degree over the internet – this is a soap afterall – a sci fi soap. I repeat, stupid, stupid, stupid.
I was just going to post that I did’t see today’s show yet but I certainly hope they had Jen on a bypass machine or some form of life support…then I saw your post. LOL.
I only half watched as I was busy . I never thought of the fact that Jen would be dead …..da !! Or who took the heart out…………yes it is reather amusing now that you said so !!
and she ever goes out to a fancy dinner date or formal affair, will she have a huge scar running
down between her U U ???? I’m just asking! I mean if they can take someones heart and then give it back to them, (doctor or not), gloves or not, and all the rest or not, will she have a scar???? I guess not, since Phillip can dance like Baryshnikov with an artificial limb. It’s just getting toooooooooooooooooo deep in the weirdness pool for me to watch right now.
My mom had open heart surgery and her scar looked like someone took a very fine point off white pen and drew a line. It was as thin if not thinner than a piece of thread. It did start a few inches above her U U and ended down to the end of the breast bone.
Mine from my heart surgery starts above my U U and goes down to like the bottom of my bra where the ulcer perforation repair scar starts and that one goes down to my belly button. Then, my mastectomy scar goes perpendicular to those two so, in reality, I have a crosshair on my chest for people to aim at.

And, I sure didn’t see any blood warming/pumping machine. I’m no doctor, but I am damn sure you have to keep one’s BLOOD running through one’s body (especially the brain) to continue to live, respire, and function …….. Crazy stuff
Well my scar from open heart surgery comes from not far from throat right down a few inches from my naval. It is very prominent and 10 years later you can still see the ridge from where they cut me and stitched me back up….
Yes I agree this plot is so absurd that it defies logic, but then again so does the show more times than not, At least this one plot has wrapped up. LIkely months from now we will wanted this Rafe/Rafe storyline ended if they decided to carry it on into summer.
