53tdogsParticipant
who picked out the dress…Ms. Over-the-top-fashionista herself – Vivian. Now that lady has had some very strange getups in the past. (Although, lately she has toned it down). Mel always had her own sense of fashion, and was pretty put together most of the time – so, I’m not sure why she acquiesed to Vivy’s fashion (or lack of fashion) sense. And you are so right Patti – Vivian is certifiable!
53tdogsParticipantfor throwing someone off the trail of something but Bo sleeping with Carly would be a bit too far off track to just derail Vivy.
I think Bo is genuinley (sp) trying to help Carly, but he’s sure not steering Carly to wrap this up (by letting Mel know that she is Carly’s daughter), especially since Carly is jeapardizing his relationship with Hope. I just have a tough time believing that Bo has thrown Hope under the bus even if his Fancy Face has told him it’s over. I don’t think a 20+ year romance that those two have had that has weathered all other catastrophes cannot get through this.
If I was Bo – I’d be looking for revenge on that ‘faux’ cop (can’t remember his name) that kidnapped Ciarra for ransom in the first place – he started all this stuff.
53tdogsParticipantBased on your conjecture of the story line then Anna was only babysitting Sydney for EJ. (Not sure how to explain the notes though or lying to the cops – that is still a no-no – (depending on the judge nowdays) and then those two would only get a nominal fine or probation. At this point – I’m just wanting the story to be over, no matter how it’s resolved as long as it’s O-V-E-R! Please!!!
53tdogsParticipantSami smacks (or worse) EJ! That will be so worth it (and I’m a Sami and EJ fan) but I would love Sami to give EJ exactly what’s coming to him.
53tdogsParticipantSo right Bonbon, it is a Federal crime case. But when has that ever stopped anyone in Salem from getting some kind of retribution or punishment, (yes, Nicole is in jail right now – but she’ll be out I’ll bet soon). Look at all the crimes Stefano, EJ, Sami, Kate, Viv, Victor, etc., has gotten away with over the years with no jail time or even a slap on the wrist.
In Salem, you can do the crime and NOT have to do the time. (Maybe because Bo’s busy with phone calls). As I said before, EJ is teflon coated, so Anna may take the fall for this – but then for how long – not sure if she’s back for long term or just this SL. I so want this story line to wrap up. EJ may pay her the $5Mill so Anna can get on with her life and not money grub anymore – unless she blows all the money like Kate and Nicole have that they have "acquired" over the years.
I still think that it is possible the writers may have Nicole ride in on a white horse and finger Anna with the boots/voice and that will resolve the "who took Sydney" story. That maybe how she is going to be exonerated and get her "get out of jail card". But please writers, it’s been a year now, however you wrap this up – please get this story line done and move on!
53tdogsParticipantare suppose to do more than just a phone call or two and chatting with people about an investigation – Bo doesn’t even show up to the cop shop anymore. I wouldn’t want Bo on any kind of investigation in my neighborhood. Yes, you are correct, he does have a seperate story line, (one we’ve all seen a million times). I’d rather see Bo do his job as police commissionar and solve this Sydney case with Rafe. One big happy ending with the good guys winning by finding Sydney and actually putting EJ (and Anna) in the same cell as Nicole. (That would be a hoot!) I think that EJ is teflon though and Anna may take the fall for this.
All in all, it would be great to see some folks do an actual job or follow their profession for once in Salem other than a waitress pouring coffee or a nurse carrying a clipboard at the nursing station. Lexie actually cared for patients for awhile, even Stephanie was "behind" the wheel of a race car once upon a time, Mel was emptying bedpans just a few weeks ago and Roman and Bo used to sit behind their desk at least at the cop shop and bark orders at uniformed cops – it is just more realistic when the character’s are doing every day things like the rest of us have to do (even for in short scene) – when’s the last time Sami changed a diaper on screen with when her kids were smaller or feed the kids (even though the kids have been absent for quiet awhile now), even Mom’s don’t have to do their jobs in Salem.
53tdogsParticipantbut I don’t think after Hope’s kissing Justin (even if she did say she’s not ready), that she’s in on anything but wondering where she went wrong with Bo.
53tdogsParticipantThat was classic! "…way out there where the busses don’t run…" Hysterical! I am going to have to remember that line! Victor and Abe get "line of the year" awards! Vivi get’s runner up!
53tdogsParticipantMel’s reaction, that’s why she came to Salem in the first place. Yes, she may want to ease into the explanation, but with what Carly is doing now, she’s prolonging her agony of Mel’s dislike of her (which is a bit contrived since the begining of those two’s interactions if ya ask me). Mel at this point is going to explode at Carly when she hears the news anyway – but if Carly doesn’t freeze up like a deer in a headlight like she has been doing with all her scenes with Mel – Carly should just go ahead and "rip off the bandage". Mel will pout and be angry for awhile, but underneath I think she’s a scared little girl still and would welcome a real mother.
Now that the horror of what Lawerence did to Carly is out with some details (after today’s show), I would think that Carly has the worst of it behind her and she should do what she came to town to do! If that means telling Melanie, knocking Vivian on the head so be it. As it looks, I think Hope is going to get more involved with Viv, and end up doing something stupid against Carly now. (And also fall into Justin’s bed).
53tdogsParticipantHe (speaking on the behalf of what most dumb crooks/sleezebags would have done) should have shot her – and then made it look like a robbery.
53tdogsParticipantyou learn in cop/fed school – you never negotiate with terrorist, kidnappers or bad folks. You may listen to their demands, you can give them food and water, but you do not give them ransom money, get away cars, or anything else. So I think telling Rafe is a good thing – he’s a cop and has more resources than Sami (albeit, she doesn’t know she’s dealing directly with the number one kidnapper – EJ). She should trust Rafe. And why isn’t Bo and Roman more involved in this matter 1. Sydney is family, 2. they are law enforcement – the Fed’s would welcome local sources (in spite of what you read in books and see on TV these days).
53tdogsParticipantthey were fun and I learned so much! Wish they’d bring ’em back!
53tdogsParticipantEJ gets a discount from all the phone companies, he’s got a cell in every pocket of his knickers…
53tdogsParticipant"Day’s" world…maybe they’ll all be in Melaswen or wake up in the shower?
53tdogsParticipantyesterday’s and today’s up to the point where Kate and Vivy were almost having a knock down drag out in the coffee shop – too funny! Not sure who’d come out winner in that one – they are both pretty darn vicious! I think Vivy might come out ahead though. Can you imagine those two at Phillip’s wedding? The faux fur would be flying!
