53tdogsParticipant
just come out and tell Melanie instead of sitting there with that strange look on her face every time? She came all this way to Salem, got a job, had an affair with Bo and yet the reason she say’s that she went to Salem in the first place is because of Mel, yet she will not tell her the truth? Come on woman!
53tdogsParticipantI haven’t seen all of yesterday’s show yet or today’s – but has she even been around in the last two weeks?
53tdogsParticipant~ and I’m not complaining about our weather – we need it. The Big Valley is almost a dust bowl due to the water turn off by the politicians. I’d keep the water and snow here if I could sweetie but the Big Man upstairs has a different plan! Good luck and batten down the hatches – thar’ she blows!
53tdogsParticipantI’m just along for the ride. I just assume the writer’s wanted to head in a new direction in order for the teens to have some more angst in their teenybopper lives, (like Mia didn’t have enough already).
I’m not blaming Mia – her entire life has been a mess. Mia seemed fairly sweet and innocent when she first came on board. However, this complete turn-around in personality just doesn’t happen to people, even with Nicole doing what she did to her and Chad wasn’t all that helpful (even though he didn’t know about the baby).
I would think that she’d unleash all that anger (deservedly so) on Nicole (when she returns) and if she wants Chad go get him (you’re right, she doesn’t know what she wants) – but given her crazy mixed up life so far – she may have that problem forever. I also hope that "new" Will, will help her sort out just exactly who and what she wants.
53tdogsParticipantget ready for some more snow! We’ve got big storms coming in all week with 35 to 40 MPH winds with lots of rain – once it’s get’s east of the Rockies and over the plains – well, I feel for y’all. Stay warm and dry!
January 18, 2010 at 9:16 pm in reply to: Too bad we Bill, Marie, and Sarah who apparently were always in another room… #977953tdogsParticipantStephano is going to be around a good long while! EJ, Vivian, Nicole, Victor all have their moments but there’s never been as baddddddddddd a baddy as Stephano. Kudo’s to Joe and long life! Salute pisan!
53tdogsParticipantbut as long as she could make Mia "disappear" for awhile – I’m all for it. I’m tired of Mia and her sullen, down ways all the time (and this making her a coniving, devious and scheming little b-tch all of a sudden isn’t endearing her to me), perhaps if Viv did "take her away for a bit" then Mia could come back a trifle more interesting.
January 18, 2010 at 9:05 pm in reply to: I’m still a couple of days behind, but I just watched a few… WOW #977753tdogsParticipantYou nailed it! Every single line. No we don’t like Bo and Hope apart – but they have become not fun to watch – I don’t think I want them apart forever, because I’d like one couple to just be in love for the fairy tale happy ending we all grew up with.
I like Carly, (don’t care for the story line of Bo and her at all now though). I’m not sure why there has to be a triangle all the darn time. There are other ways in a story line to give this couple some oooomph in their daily lives.
53tdogsParticipantone more twist and it’s not Mel even though Carly says it is…After all how would Carly know without DNA tests? (Where’s Sami when you need a DNA test?) Carly has not seen her child since she was born or very young. Granted Mel is a bit older than Mia – however, Mel may be a bit younger than they first made her out to be.
In the real world, you can go into nursing school right after HS and you can graduate HS at a late 16 years old, (I did – in Texas way back when you could start kindergarten at 4 in parochial school so that FF’s my HS graduation), or graduate at 17 years of age. That would make her still younger than we think. They never did say how long she went to nursing school, or was even close to finishing (like everyone in Salem – you can have a college degree or a MBA in six months, and seems like you can get a PHD even a year or two after HS). So Mel could be a bit younger and that’s why Carly would think Mel is her kid, not Mia – Mia’s – is what a senior in HS? I would like it to be Mia instead of Mel – Vivy can get rid of Mia – too morose as we’ve all said.
53tdogsParticipantLawrence forced her to give her baby away – (which is as good as him taking the baby away). Yes! It would be so much better if they gave us more background – especially – since they have made it a major story line. Details writers! We want details!
53tdogsParticipantthat weird science/alien/creature show "Fringe" ? Not sure if it is the same guy or not, but I have seen him before – he musta played Jack quiet awhile ago? Only saw two episodes of Fringe so I don’t know how long he was on that show and I’ve never watched Boston Legal, but he’s worked on a number of different shows as a character actor. I will check out the new show that he is on because it sounds interesting and as Fox always has some good ones (and some not so good ones) to watch.
53tdogsParticipantof your scenerio because I think her "daughter" is a contracted actress with the show now (?) and will be around for awhile – but Vivy could make Carly think that she killed her daughter – as you pointed out that would make Carly loose it forever.
53tdogsParticipantI think Vivy has said more than once that she intends for Carly to pay the ultimate price. Though perhaps, she has not actually said the words, "I’m going to murder her". I would find it highly amusing if Vivian re"buried" Carly. Bo would of course have to come riding to the rescue.
However, I think it would be an even better scenario if someone else from Carly’s past "rescued" her from the grave, someone that we would not suspect, only this person would be interested in exacting revenge not rescue. Then, (wait, not finished yet with twisting), Carly’s daughter (whomever she turns out to be – not saying incase some have not caught up with SL yet) would have to really rescue Carly from the clutches of _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _!
53tdogsParticipantWell that’s two of us who thought along the same lines Patti – I’m not so sure that you may be incorrect on this speculation…not so very far fetched of an idea that they planned this. The writer’s would and could go there – but don’t think that they should. How’s your insurance Bonbon?
53tdogsParticipanta Head writer say she doesn’t watch the show? What does she do to be head writer then? Approve what the other writer’s come up with in bit’s and pieces? I don’t know what was worse: when JER did everything that he wanted on a whim and the heck with the SL’s continuity or this Higley not having a hands on approach to the direction the story lines go…I know I did say before in another post that I was not going to rag on the writer’s anymore and give them a break but good grief you guysies we ourselves can come up with better stuff for a story line and more interesting dialog on our own (and we have!).
