Yes, Doug’s wonderful voice singing those songs would have "brought the house down" – it would have been great.  Heck, for me, he could of whistled "Jingle Bells" from the kitchen when he  "helped Micky bring Mrs. H in" and I would have been happy with that if the rest of the folks in the living room would have stopped to listen and reflect on Christmas past with Tom and Mrs. H. and all the rest.

I was shocked at today’s show after all of Bo’s protesting that he wanted Hope back.  They are both in the wrong though and both to blame.

I, for one would like to see the writer’s not delve into a rape story lightly at all as it can ruin a woman’s life forever.  I would think that if "Days" has women writers – they would stand their ground and balk at these repetative story lines.  Some men find a rape story scene titillating and the women writer’s need remind the power’s that be with the story lines that rape statistically happens about every 1 every two minutes in the USA alone.  It could be their mother, sister, wife, daughter, sexual assault is horrendously devastating and should always be treated as such.

starts wearing Victor’s curtain’s (like Carol Burnett’s ‘Gone with the Wind’ Scarlett – hysterical) – then I’ll worry about her…the wardrobe folks must be hitting all the Hollywood thrift stores if there is a budget crunch with the show, to dress Viv.

not just with her wardrobe but  her charactor as well…(think that’s why I like her).

    didn’t Sami "rape" Austin?  http://www.daysofourlives.com/specials/specials_detail_2274.html

Seem’s like Day’s has to have a rape story line every few years (which I wish they wouldn’t do given the horrific subject matter).  There have been a number of characters that have also done what EJ did to Sami over the years (not that they were right in any way, shape, or form) but the charactor’s have evolved into fine, upstanding folks afterwards, i.e., Sami (as aforementioned), Bill with Laura (way back when), Jack with Kayla, and I believe a few other’s over the years, so EJ isn’t the only one.

7 days w/o ‘lectricity – goodness!  Glad you got to catch up on the show.  It was nice that they did a Christmas with the Hortons – all though it did seem rushed!  Did I see Caroline at the party with Lucas?  Did she even have a line at the Christmas party at Bo and Hope’s house or was she just decoration like the tree?

Yeah, it’s the next generation and I just figure they will make all the kids about the same age eventually for continuity of the show’s story lines as Sami, EJ, Maggie, Hope, Bo, etc., all get older.   Of course most of us will be in the old age home by then too  – "still yelling at the writers why they did this or did that to our favorite charactors" and Kate will be interfering with her great-grandchildrens lives at that point.

Phillip is the one who asked Melanie to marry him…so what does he want her for?  He’s not in love with her either…I think they just have good chemistry together and compliment each other.  I would like to see what develops between the two of them – but I would like a lonnnnnnng engagement period with lot’s of adventures for the two and then have them really fall in love.  They could have some good story lines together…  I sure didn’t like Mel when she first showed up and now, I do – there is a caring human being in that loopy air head of hers.  I think she could "be a contender".  I never much cared for Stephanie and I still don’t, (even when she was a "race car driver" and whatever else she’s aspired to be).

Can’t we fans just have one forever couple like Tom and Alice were?  Can’t we have Bo and Hope as the one-true-in-love-forever-and-ever-couple- quit ripping them a part writers!   I know most of us grew up with the Cinderella and Prince story and we’re hard working, family raising or grandma type women (men  too) reality based folks who just want a little fun story to come home to and to watch with that has "forever love".

I thought we’d at the very least see a glimpse of two actor’s that had on white haired wigs through the kitchen door, "Mrs. H." could have been passing "Mickie" a plate of Christmas doughnuts!  I would have been happy with that!

So true EllenKB!  "Days" has stretched the reality line so many times for me sometimes I think I’m watching the Twilight Zone instead and ask myself "What did I miss? (or) "Not understand?"

the one in the picture would be my dream ring IF…(heck – I’d take just a plain gold band for true love) I just thought I’d put a BIG Honkin’ ring in post for emphasis in case someone may have missed the sparkler Phillip gave Mel.
