but then I do really like Person of Intent and the bad guys are pretty evil on that show, but then the good guys always get them in the end…and then too, Jim Cavezel is one of my favorite actors (he’s a good guy). The good guys (and gals) winning in the end – like John Wayne, that is my kind of show. No grey areas.
53tdogsParticipantJohn on the pier 20 years ago, hooked me onto the show and she is still one of my all time favorites!
November 1, 2011 at 5:05 pm in reply to: Just realized something about Maggie turning out to be Daniel’s mom #2823953tdogsParticipantwere like oil and water all of our lives, she raised me and was my Mother….for someone to come up and say no, this person is your mother, I’d be saying "No" too. The writers are just over dramatizing Maggies "motherhood". Maybe a shock to her that she has a grown son that she never knew about, she has no "Mother" claims on Daniel…perhaps later on when they develop a relationship (you know it’s "when" not "if"), then Maggie can have her maternal feelings. What she is doing now would be like me finding out my little, young contractor is my son after 33 years…nice kid, but do I feel motherly towards him in that case instantly? No.
53tdogsParticipantEOM
53tdogsParticipantconfused little roses and lilacs…kinda nice to see and cut for the vase on the dining table but I know the plants know it’s November…and the hummmingbirds are not flying further south because of the plants blooming. The huge black barn bees aren’t hibernating either…it’s a mad, mad, mad, mad world! ~ I know you remember that one Bon!
53tdogsParticipantinteresting concept is it not? There was so much happing in last nights show that I had to rewind a couple of times.
Now help me on this point please…(my eyes aren’t so good anymore) – the actress who plays Snow White played on "Big Love" – I know that (and like her). Was the actress who plays Henry’s "real" Mom on OUAT, was she the same actress who played "Number 13" on "House"? She sure looks like the same actress in the face, (I missed the credits twice), but with that blond-blond hair, it’s difficult for me to tell.
53tdogsParticipantI was loving Maggie and Victor! I sure hope that your synopis of Vic perhaps being involved, (other than to help Maggie find out what’s what), won’t happen, (but you may be onto something).
Salem needs some "happy" couples right now (and I don’t mean the "happy" ending that Madison is trying to give Brady)…Other than Hope and Bo right now, everyone else in is "danger" of something going on in their lives, quadrangle, triangles, Madoff worries, election worries, etc., let’s have just a bit of happiness with some more of the folks in Salem. I know drama and tragedy fuels soaps, but it’s crappiola and a big-time downer to have everyone in dire straights all the time.
53tdogsParticipantthat will be most definitely one of the stores I will be shopping at instead of the crass, money grubbing stores that advertise in September.
53tdogsParticipantthat’s why I thought OUAT would be cute, funny, and clever with a twist…I don’t want to go to bed and have to look under the bed at the dog hair that might look like a werewolf! I’ve never seen CSI or those kinds of shows just because of that…even had to quit watching Bones because of the "gunk" that used to be a person on their exam table – and I loved that show. I think I’m stuck in "Leave it to Beaver" and "I Love Lucy" land…although, I do watch "V", "Terra Nova" and "House" "Grey’s" – they get pretty "gross" at times…
53tdogsParticipantdecorations in late September – give us a break business world – we know the economy "sucks" but come on…stop with the commercials and decorations out so early! Otherwise, I will find another store to shop from. You are right Bonbon, pretty soon they will be starting the next January with the next Christmas shopping season! Crass and too commercial – it will come back to bite them in their little greedy butts!
53tdogsParticipantwhen I said "working" women all working women, from the housekeeper (think Arnold’s recent headlines), to a VP in the corporate world, women have the same good moral convictions or lack thereof as a person that they are in either or any field of employment or career. A woman can be a either a slut as a housekeeper or have the moral conviction of Billy Graham in the upper echelon of hierachy in the business field. You start out with principles and convictions you stay with them. As for working high up in business, shouldn’t be any different because Madison doesn’t get her manicure smudged – I’d say she is of the former category I mentioned, not the latter based on her actions in the first few days of knowing Brady. I think Madison takes the "knowing" of Brady in the Biblical sense and she would be the same working in a diner or under a desk at the White House – it’s who she is.
53tdogsParticipantguilty would be like Bo or John Wayne or Superman being a bad guy. Not going to happen! John is either: 1. Under Stefano’s mind control, 2., Brainwashed (see #1) by Stefano, 3. a doppelganger – as they did with Rafe. But if it is a senerio like 1, 2, or 3, then been there – done that and we’re (the fans) are T-I-R-E-D of this SL and so you’d better not be promising us all one thing and delivering another writers and Corday!
53tdogsParticipantCardinals streak…but great game!
53tdogsParticipantwe pay exorbitantly enormous taxes, so that nixes the nice weather here all year long – I’d gladly take a few snowstorms…
53tdogsParticipantpublicity advertising as they did OUAT, so that may be why Grimm isn’t doing as well, and Friday night, is well, most folks (especially with the demographics that would normally watch a show like Grimm) are out and not watching t.v. at primetime. Maybe they should switch the day shown to bring it up in ratings. Sunday, Monday, Tues., and some of Wed. are good nights for t.v. at my house, (at least the DVR seems to be working a lot harder those days).
