Rafe has been with Sami (and you know how many people she has been with), so no, sex while being preggers isn’t the issue…
what I’ve been "ranting" about for several, months, years – a decade (it seems) about Days. Thank you for the validation – and here I thought I was the only person…all of your posts hit bits and pieces and right on the nail! Alice Horton – leave her shiny memory untarnished! Writers are really going to PO fans if they mess with Alice! And WAY toooooooooooooooo much Sami, for years now. Austin is like his space twin siblings (off in another world). Daniel is a male slut – who hasn’t he had in Salem yet that is of legal age? And even though Nicole is "now" a "good character" – you would think with all the stuff – (which is endless) she has done in order to have a child -that she would make every conceivable effort to make sure her child is totally safe now that she has done the impossible and conceived. But no…she’s reverting to her porn days. GMAFriggin’B!
get a chance to watch all the Kristan/Susan stuff again… LOL! I actually miss that stuff now-a-DAYS…
put a huge neon flashing sign on my roof for some soda product or McD’s to pay my household bills? Google or Bing Tokyo – practically every square inch is covered in advertisements. But that’s why I have a DVR – so I don’t have to sit through commercials, now with the shows inserting product ads might as just well watch "live" and in-living color. Think we all discussed this about a year or two ago, when Sami (?) was talking about ‘tater chips or something in the pub or was that Midol? EJ had a headache and was crabby…
suggestion – taken from Bonbon’s remark about having to write day-in-day-out/year-after-year-after year-decade after decade – I do understand that even Shakespeare or Capote or any other writer for that matter could not keep it fresh. So why not do reruns? I would love to see the first 40ish years (even in B&W) and if they don’t exsist – some early "Day" must exsist some where in a dark vault (look under DeMansion) or some where.
Pay the actors, and anyone (and the lawyers – there are always lawyers) else involved the royalties…That has got to be cheaper than lights/cameras/sets/what the pay scale is of actors now. If they just wrote for 23 weeks a year…then they (writers and Corday) would have no excuses – I think (just speaking for myself) would be very happy for a very good SL instead of rinse and repeat for six months out of the year anyway. It could save our show!
Think about this – How much fun would it be to see Alice and Tom again? Stefano at his baddest? Phillips face-transplant, Jan holding Shawn hostage, the space twins – (well, maybe not those last few)…I’ve only got 20 years and CRS anymore – So for me, even going back to the day where Marlena was on the dock and John saw her again – I would LOVE that! I’m sure there would be others of you all who would as well – am I wrong folks? I still love Days always will – but it’s like that joke about what rooms in the house you use for you know what when you are in different stages of being married Honeymoon, Hallway and you will have to look up the punch line on your own.
head writer on DOOL! I will start watching the show again if that happens! Kept me on the edge of my seat and my sides hurt! Best post I’ve read in a long time!!! I’m going to make sure all my friends who watch DOOL see it too.
my addiction to DOOL…never ever in a million years…I mean after 20 years of watching – I thought I would need a 12 step program to get weaned off the show. I was so addicted that I planned my vacations around it when and where I could watch. I even took sick leave when I was at work when something really "big" was happening. Before DVR’s – there were back up VCR’s humming just in case one didn’t work…yes, it was an addiction.
The first time I tried to stop watching – I went three months and then like in Godfather III "just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in…". So now I’m almost 9 months without DOOL, keeping track of SL’s through SP with you guysies and other friends, but I’m doing fine without it.
When I read what you all write – the good, the bad and the ugly, I find that most (99 and 3/4%) of the story lines – well, let’s just say been there – watched that before. Somebody is either kidnapped, shot, died but come back to life, parental jumbles on who is who’s daddy, musical beds in the romance department – yada–yadda–yada…so I find that I’m not missing anything.
If I find that something like when Bo’s departure is going to be "stupendously mind-blowing not to be missed" is a reason to turn it on just to watch the "last day" (of which I highly doubt) of his being on the show – then maybe I will turn it on for that one episode. Until then, I find that an extra hour a day (well, 40 minutes because comericals and FF’ding) is more advantageous in my day…but that’s just me. The final break that ended my addiction to Days – was Days itself.

think of to keep their "golden girl" front and center – so now they are once again (endlessly) putting her in triangle formation. I wish sometimes "ALF" was still on t.v. – at least then Sami could be captured by aliens and wisk away for awhile. As you mentioned Kay – it is stupid – wayyyyyyy beyond stupid.
won’t be around to help either. You are correct…Hope w/out Bo? Just not happening. Guess the show will have a replacement Bo in the wings again. Either that – perhaps JB will hook up with her yet again (in spite of his forever love for Marlena [but I think since Eileen is returning she will be in the mix with that one] – you know how the writers hate a happy couple).
Can’t think of anyone else the show would pair up Hope with. Abe? – (too soon for Lex’s passing), Daniel ? – (little male slutter that he is – heh, he’s Katie and Sami in un-drag – they are never without a man). EJ? (nahhhh, "never" ), or perhaps Roman? – ewwww brother???? There aren’t that many men I could think of on the show that would be "fairly" age appropriate for Hope. I don’t want to have to get use to yet another new character that "is immediate" bells and whistles for Hope. And you know the writers won’t let her be alone for very long. So I think it will be a "cloned" Bo yet again.
and back home well enough to finish your Mom’s bathroom – then you’ll know he’s going to be doing just fine! That is great news about the doctors getting the blockage out and your Dad doing better! You guysies take care too – especially you Nora, the stress cannot be good for you either – just rest up as much as you can and try not to worry, All is in God’s hands! And He can take care of it all.
