clan.  If rumors are true about John and Stefano.  Talk about developing a long term character, (on another post), Chad would be the one as he already has an interesting and full history.  If Stefano is having issues and EJ is trying to turn from his wicked ways (I haven’t watched in three months so I’m just going by what I read), then IF JB is returning, I’d love for him to get the ultimate revenge on what Stefano and the DeMera’s have done to everyone in Salem and take Chad away from Stefano.  That would really "kill" Stefano, having a child taken away and turned to the "good" side by his pawn.

that have a history with the show – ones we are invested in are so much more interesting to watch – if the writers do not run the SL into the ground – like the R2 story.  I do not care for "newer" characters that are "dumped" in our laps and we are suppose to know their history and even care about them.

I disliked Mel intensely when she first came on board, however once they gave her a history she was watchable…for awhile…then she reverted and became an even more whiney, "snively" little girl just as she was growing as a character and once again I didn’t care as much for her.

As far as Taylor, it’s the actress, (of whom I’m sure is wonderful), but all I see is Ava.  And throwing first Taylor at EJ with that repeated scene (how many times did they show that? I lost count!) on the pier made me ill with motion sickness.

Chad was given a story history (a not good story with Mia), but we slowly knew his history, about his mom and Kate, finding out Stefano was his father, (and now we care that Chad may becoming a chip off the old block)…which I hope John rescues him from the DeMera clan before it is too late.

"T" is the kid that hung around Kinsey, and he is a great little actor, I would watch him if they gave him a story line.  He was one of the few teens in the summer teen SL’s I would stop FF’ding for.

    competition from Webster is:

    Com`pe`ti´tion

    n. 1. The act of seeking, or endeavoring to gain, what another is endeavoring to gain at the same time; common strife for the same objects; strife for superiority; emulous contest; rivalry, as for approbation, for a prize, or as where two or more persons are engaged in the same business and each seeking patronage; – followed by for before the object sought, and with before the person or thing competed with.

After Thursday night, this is no longer a dance competition for the best of the best, it is just a love fest.  While I enjoyed the dancing, this is show is about the best dancer in a group of "not so best", you are suppose to have a winner and loosers (or dancers that weren’t quite as good if you want to be PC about it).

on their head and perhaps change Chad – as Chad has not really been long with La famila…so perhaps there’s hope for him still.  I’d love to come in and watch John spin EJ on his head…

me then, much the same as they aren’t now…maybe because it didn’t seem like they "matched" or "clicked" and those two even as just sexual partners didn’t hold my interest.

me ill watching because his face was so large against hers and it was like a snake swallowing a bird on Animal Planet.  I am sure it gave me the willies just because he was so much older than Chelsa, (Mel was about the same age as Chelsa, even though we didn’t know Mel was his daughter at the time)…

I agree with you.  Given all the comments on this, it has made me wonder if the writers actually do not remember who their target audience is, i.e., women.  That is not to say that women are namby-pamby whimps when it comes to fist-a-cuffs.  We can be and are tougher than men (who have mistakenly called us the weaker sex for eons), by a long shot.  However, a fight scene like you mentioned Mommytutu, we’d rather see the first punch or two and then the guy on the ground rather than watch a blow-by-blow beating.

Sorry ~ I had to be facetious here.  Maybe Jennifer feels that she "owes" Daniel for saving her life, which was a stupid story line to begin with, and this is the only way (whether she is conscientious of a need to "repay" him or not) to thank him.

would have made for a more interesting story line for sure!  Too bad the writer’s did not take the initiative.

drinking he’s  been doing lately?  (Gee do ya think?)  I’m glad they’ve given Brady some meat on this character’s bones but it seems like they are trying to ruin him instead of building this character into an in-depth and interesting character…they were going that way with him for awhile until they dropped him into a bottle and turned him 180.

get crappiola rinse and repeat SL’s that get rehashed time after time from the writers (and the PTB that allow it). I think given a decent story and lines – that I could have even been sympathetic and cared a bit about even Stephanie.  Even now, how I detest the character of Sami, it’s all the same ol’ victim of circumstances stories ad nauseaum  to where I just don’t care about the character anymore.

The same old boring story lines written for decent actors on the show are exactly why we don’t give a rip about a character after seeing the same scene played again and again.  If the writers don’t know what to write for a character, don’t keep writing for them, give the character a hiatus for awhile until you can write a decent story for them, quite writing stories while running our favorites into the ground!

On the other hand, after 40 years of writing I can see where it would be difficult to come up with something fresh or different in the stories, oh wait, the writers have done just exactly that!  They gave us some really good story lines that kept us sitting on the edge of our seats for a year at a time…To mention just a few – the Salem Stalker, Sydney’s kidnapping, EJ/Sami as Santo/Colleen, Vivy burying Carly alive and more!  Annnnnd then there are the  really bad stinkers – the stories we hated, the possession, Jan and Shawn D in the cell, and the Taylor story…past, present and future, the Garden of Eden…need I go on or are you throwing up your lunch yet?
