Participantboobs…and the reason I laughed – I was wondering if the writer’s realize that it is "mostly" women who watch DOOL and we don’t droooooooool over boobs – we have our own and see them every day.

Participantwriters to pick up a good story line for him again instead of the years and years of him saying "What’dahell?" And yes, to your point Patti about Lexie, she needs a good story line and would be great following in her father’s footsteps as a "baddy". She played that kind of part before, she could do it again, and being Stephano’s oldest now, she should take over the reins of the DeEmpire!

Participantlike the actress Ari and the character of Nicole. The only other thing I didn’t like what Nicole did was throw Brady under the bus for EJ, after she professed that she loved Brady, had always loved Brady, would always love Brady and practically the next week she was in bed with EJ. Nicole has a lot more depth and range than Sami (who’s character has rinsed and repeated with every single man for years "Ooooo I’m so angry at him…OOOHHH I will love him soooo…Ooooo, I hate him…etc., etc.) has had in a long time. I used to think Sami and Nicole had many stories that were the same; Sami kidnapped her sister, Nicole kidnapped Sydney, Sami married Lucas – Nicole did too, and EJ but Nicole seems to have evolved as a character, whereas I haven’t seen it in Sami.

Participantmiss Stephanobut the rest no, not so much. Chloe hasn’t been a character I’ve cared about in three or so years now, but I blame the PTB for making her a wide eyed dolly instead of a believable woman, not the actress. And Taylor gone? I will have to start watching the show again, the first day after she has departed!

Participantthat did Tony and stalked around in Salem? If he’s still in Salem woods, wonder if he will be responsible for the five or six Salemites being "offed" in the show? A tiger’s got to eat after all!

Participantsoaps are either uneducated, unenlightened, or do not know of things of the world beyond the kitchen walls. I think she still thought her audience is/was from the Donna Reed era, and tended to write women as victims or still "fainting dead away" at the first sign of trouble instead of women who can bring home the bacon and fry it up in the pan!
Higley writes for t.v. soaps, (no matter how many men watch), which are still written for women, she was suppose to be on or at least see "our" side of life. If DH, as a woman in charge of writers, approved and/or wrote of Jennifer’s heart getting ripped out of her chest, (of which I think was a metaphore for Jack leaving her the way he did), or Chloe’s continuing being the weak willed little simp I-need-Daniel-to-be-perfect, or the myriad of other traumas facing Salem’s women; i.e, Sami never changing her tune for the last 15 years – then yes, Higley is a twit for thinking we were all twits and for not standing up for all the women who have made it on their own through all the trials and tribulations of life and she deserved to be fired.

Participantthe damsel in distress had to have a knight in shining armour come and rescue her – instead of the damsel taking care of the dragons herself! That’s why Higley didn’t write strong woman characters, she thinks we all are just twits and cannot do or think for ourselves, we all need a man to take care of little ol’ us… Pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffpht!

Participanthave to type quite so much! Thanks!
But especially – DITTO – on Taylor!!!! I haven’t watched Quinn (at all) but I say him too! If they gave Stephano a good story line – instead of making him the buffoon scassacazzo he’s become.

Participantfrom what I’ve figured out about life, He’s teaching us, making us trust in Him for all things, and making us stronger with Him – life is a learning journey, it goes by in the blink of an eye…these tough times make us realize that all things are replaceable with the exception of the ones we love and care for and our faith in God.

Participantsorry to them not give Justin and Adrienne more meaty story lines), I would put Taylor on my list at the top of my list. I haven’t even seen any Day’s of Dario or Quinn – and want them to go…I have no vested interest in those two characters and I don’t want to spend the time to get to know them…just don’t care about them – so let them go.

Participantput it on a sports channel…leave our soap (especially on a Friday where there is usually a "cliffhanger") alone!

Participantthrough as I live in a flood plane that floods roof high about every ten or so years (three rivers adjoin our towns), and high fire area also – There’s just no way to stop mother nature. It’s been a really weird year for so many in the USA, fires in Texas, the tornados, now with the spring run off, the floods, and I hear there is a high potential for a bad hurricane season again. We all need a break! You and your family stay safe. A blessing on you all!
