Participantlike the weirded out story lines…but don’tcha think they are a smaller minority than the rest of us that are just grossed out, that FF’d now through this kind of stuff and are tired of the same ol’ rehash of these story lines??? We count too! And I think we’re a lot more loyal and long time to the show.

Participantgentleman playing Phillip at all. Some "replacements" have grown on me, other’s like him never have. I’m going to miss "dimples"!

Participant(Kirsten) was Miss Goody Two-shoes to the max! They both grew on all of us…I don’t think this new Taylor will work at all, I hope EJ has her for breakfast and spits her out now!

ParticipantIf they did, why then have they had and continue to have some of the dumbest, most rediculous, and silly story lines like: the "space twins", Vivian stealing Phillip when he was an "egg", the possession of Marlena, the Garden of Eden, Susan Banks and Elivs, Jan holding Sean in a cell, of late – Jennifer’s heart getting ripped out of her body and she lives!
I’m not to sure that we, (fans), are just an after thought to the writers and TPTB, DeeLan, otherwise we wouldn’t be subjected to some of this FF’ding drivel all the days of our lives!

ParticipantSL -the show his baby. I know he wants Sami (Alison) front and center. As a few of you mentioned on other thread that EJ (James) gets his way on the show. Well, if that is true – you know Alison is the fair haired child on the show and I would think she would have said something. Surely she after almost 15/16 years wants to take her character into another direction other than being a clueless twit once more for the millionth time. As many times as Marlena got snookered by Stefano, eventually, her character developed and took a more mature and interesting route than the woman constantly tied to the RR tracks by Sindey Whiplash (aka Stefano).
I don’t think it was just one co-writer, the head writer DH is the HEAD writer and could have changed this crappiola, the director, any one of a number of people (especially Corday) could have seen this coming. If they didn’t and all turned a blind eye to this SL, then we (fans) have much bigger issues with DOOL than I thought.

ParticipantSami having to deal with this when she finds out what has transpired. It is bad enough that this is the second time DOOL has done this story line (in my watching time), but at least my beloved John wasn’t a sleeze ball.
I was interested to see Rafe play a more harder edge story line seeing how he is such a nice goody guy (in spite of being a tough FBI), he was pretty much a marshmellow cream puff…but now, I don’t think when he goes back to being a good guy as the real Rafe character, I will ever be able to not think of him as just plain YUCKIE!

Participantand t.v. – I remember seeing her in several aclaimed movies – she was in "Titanic" (the mother), and Clint’s great western "The Unforgiven" as the prostitute as well as a bunch of other movies. She also did a fine job in playing Lucy Arnez in the movie about her life. And she’s no stranger to soaps either, although, I’ve never watched another soap other than DOOL.

Participanta lovely person and talented} that being said, however, we never saw another side of NL. The character’s been on the show two weeks total if that, and was all sweetness and light; never got a chance to see if her acting abilities curried to the "darker" side if that’s where they wanted to take her.

Participantdo the kinds of things you mentioned Luckey, I for one am seeing tooooooooo much of her on T.V., every time I swtich the channel it seems, "there she is". Alison should be told by her press and publicity person that there is sometimes too much of a good thing, not booking her so much. Lay low for awhile and spread her appearances out a bit more. Perhaps though, she is making hay (i.e., money) while the sun shines though…(I’m a Libra – (if I believed in that stuff) – I do try to see both sides of the fence/story).

Participantthe actress now playing Taylor to take her character in a different direction – isn’t that what actresses are suppose to do? Now we have to get used to this new "Taylor", when we were’n’t use to the "old" one yet? GMAFriggin’B!

Participantthe jail cell and is watching Nicky and EJ cavort…then I had to go do something else; based on your comments PowerPaw2, I might just FF’d into next week!!! LOL!

ParticipantChloe and Mel – they are both fast-tracking their way to Stephanieville for me!

Participantmy beloved John on t.v.???? Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh…sadness and woe…

ParticipantI don’t normally like new characters, so Taylor had to "grow" on me as I mentioned before – and she slowly was. I like EJ and Nicole together, I didn’t want them to break up already, but that’s what the Day’s writers seem to come up with as a story line all the time. So I was willing to watch. Now, I will just FF’d through…
I didn’t like the Ava character in 2008, and not just because she killed Grandpa Shawn, shot Hope, mussed up Steve and a whole lot of other things, I just didn’t care for the actress either – although, I am sure she is a lovely person in real life and a good actress. However. She is suppose to be younger than Nickey??? Ho-Ho-Ho! Call me Santa, I’ll be busy on Christmas Eve! (I don’t know what I meant by that other than it’s just not believable).

ParticipantSami went on sugar busters diet, she has maintained a size 4. Just how small is small for t.v.? Sami was a normal size 12 (when I say normal – most adult women in the USA who are in their 40/50/60’s are 12 to 14).
Hope was almost sickly looking for about two years and I was glad to see her gain back 5 little measley pounds in her face and neck – she was looking like a concentration camp survivor for awhile there. Kristen is a beautiful woman.
Yepper yep, have to agree with ya Majenco, media and "fashion" have ruined a normal body image for women. There are ten-year old girls on crash diets! Look at Marilyn Manroe, Betty Grable, Gina Lollabrigida, Sophie Loren and all the older stars – They were and still are world wide icons of femininity – beautiful women! I blame Twiggy and Hugh Hefner.
