From what I read (maybe on the other forum), the wedding was at Maggie’s restaurant, hence her reason for being there.
annieoParticipantI don’t read alot of DOOL sites. When is the actual wedding?
annieoParticipantWe lived in a really small town of about 100 people when I was growing up in the 50’s. It had not one, but TWO bars. The one was right across the street from us (our house was on a corner lot, the bar was on one corner, a mill on the other corner and a grocery on the other). After we came in the house in the evening (when the street lights came on), my sister and I would get our baths, put on our baby doll pjs, then go across the street to the bar for a nickel ice cream cone. Funny I don’t remember looking around to see if there were people drinking, I was just honed in on the ice cream! I was 10 when we moved to the country, so I was probably 6 or 7 when we were allowed to get ice cream.
annieoParticipantThe key that Sami gave to Rafe at Christmas and he gave her a key too. The one that was from the witness protection apartment.
annieoParticipantI read the synopsis on Salem Spectator and thought OMG, this is so ridiculous I couldn’t possibly watch. Then I tuned it for the few minutes Jen was pleading with Lee, walked away and came back as Lee was saying something about Jen’s heart and was the other person ready. So was Lee the surgeon? Neither one had on masks. This whole thing is ridiculous and stupid, stupid, stupid. Doc – "Hey, I need a heart." Warden – "Sure, we’ll get one for you." Who cares if the blood types don’t match, who cares if we sneeze or cough or don’t wash our hands, who cares if Lee has never had medical training; she probably got her degree over the internet – this is a soap afterall – a sci fi soap. I repeat, stupid, stupid, stupid.
annieoParticipantShe did lock the door, but how about the blinds? But I loved seeing the two of them talk it out and realizing they never stopped loving each other. I loved when they were on many moons ago. And I also liked how Justin told Sami to think before she goes off on her rants. I’m so tired of this "battle of the kids". I’m like other posters with the Rafe story. We need to move on to another story!
annieoParticipantI misspelled "guess". Blame it on my cat. He loves sitting on my lap while I’m at the computer.
annieoParticipantI didn’t watch, but TV Guide gave it a really low rating – like 1.
annieoParticipantGood acting all the way around for the Brady clan today except for poor little Sydney. She always seems not to react to anyone or anything. Touching scenes all the same. Read the article about Matt Ashford’s little girl – they must be going for the same type of surgery for this show – laser to remove it. Poor EJ – he’s so stiff and forlorn. Too bad I don’t feel sorry for him.
annieoParticipantNot even faltering speech when only days ago she was fighting and struggling to get a word out. As I just commented in another post, the writers seem to have a hard time finding middle ground with reality stories – it’s all or nothing.
annieoParticipantI’m not sure how to phrase my thoughts, but it seems like Days want to suspend reality for 95% of storylines, then they turn around a do a smack-you-in-the-face storyline about cancer in a small child. No middle ground for these writers. You’re either deliriously happy (NOT) or over the top sad.
annieoParticipantI thought the apartment scene with the negligee seemed and looked very contrived as she kept trying to lead EJ to the couch and pillows, but on the other hand her actions yesterday in the police department, to me, was some of the best acting I’ve watched her do in a very long time. I get to the point where I think all her fascial expressions look pretty much the same, but yesterday at the station she finally acted more mature and believable. I like her much better this way. I also think Melane has suddenly grown up in both her looks and acting.
annieoParticipantFor Lord’s sake, Daniel is a doctor, he’s not stupid and he works in a hospital. Seems to me the first thing I would do in his shoes is another paternity test to find out the truth. Of course, then we wouldn’t have weeks and weeks of stupid dialog.
annieoParticipantAnd we’re never going to know whether the writer was male or female. I vote male, from the picture at the end and the comments just sound male – so acerbic & witty – not that a female can’t be – but this writer just makes me think "guy". I’ll miss it.
annieoParticipantWell as of today, there are no happy couples in Salem. Can’t we have at one stable couple? Sami and Rafe may be happy as a couple, but they are not happy about anything going on around them and Sami defintely is not stable.
