Looks like DWTS viewers have finally seen the light and Kate is out!
annieoParticipantThen she played the sympathy card by saying how her children just "count the days until Monday so they can watch Mommy dance. So don’t vote me off (even though I yawn through practices and don’t practice)." ABC is really going for the drama and probably loving it that the viewers are being sucked in. As someone on this thread said, it’s beginning to look like the show is "fixed."
annieoParticipantWhen did Hope start having headaches? I don’t watch often and keep up on Prevuze but their site has been down. Fill me in, please. Thanks.
April 12, 2010 at 5:17 pm in reply to: I saw a spoiler where Adrienne wants to sell the bar…. #11977annieoParticipantI am so confused. Adrienne owns the Cheatin Heart? Isn’t that where Bonnie worked? I didn’t think Adrienne had anything to do with the Cheatin Heart – it was when Judi Evans played Bonnie – so now she owns the Cheatin Heart as Adrienne and worked there as Bonnie?????
annieoParticipantI really think the actor who plays the DA just doesn’t fit the role. He doesn’t have that "authority" look about him. And now they’re adding his wife, who to me doesn’t fit with the DA either – strange bedfellows – or are they estranged? Yesterday’s conversation at the hospital with Chad and his Mom was odd – she was talking to him like he was a stranger to her. Who does he live with?
annieoParticipantMaybe he could stay with Roman – wherever that is! For being grandpa to Sami’s kids, he has very little interaction – not even to babysit.
annieoParticipantI haven’t been as engaged in DWTS this season as I really don’t know any of the dancers. That being said, I have tuned in to watch Kate. She may be scared, but I also think she has two left feet. So do I, but I would never consent to being on the show knowing that I do. What I told my husband, though, is that she will not be voted out until the end even though her scores are in the toilet with the judges, because that is why people keep tuning in and voting her in – to see what she will do next. She always seems to be the last to dance, which I think is deliberate from the producers, thinking viewers will watch the whole show and not tune out. Don’t know if there’s any truth to this statement, but it’s my opinion! I think DWTS has become a popularity contest, not a skill contest. And popularity can go either way – bad popular or good popular. I truly hope someone wins because they have improved each week and by the end of the season can really dance. I don’t think Kate has shown any improvement. I thought Buzz was quite gracious in his defeat.
annieoParticipantExcellent, excellent acting from Will. I actually tuned in to see Bo’s new haircut that everyone is talking about and was treated to great acting from one of the teens. I know everyone thinks Sami is such a good actress but she has this funny habit of being engaged in a scene in an eye to eye contact with another actor but then she shifts her eyes away every few seconds like she’s checking for her lines on an offscreen monitor. For me it breaks the moment. Will, on the other hand, was totally engaged in the scene – no "shifty" eyes. But all in all it was a good episode. I was glad to see someone tell Sami the way some of us see it. I also really like Brady and Arianna. They seem very comfortable with each other and their acting doesn’t seem like acting if that makes sense.
March 23, 2010 at 1:55 pm in reply to: Question about Judi Evans when she was in her Bonnie role on Days #11471annieoParticipantThanks for the info. I really had it confused. I’m thinking "Mimi" is Bonnie’s daughter? Then some of the storyline started coming back. Steve & Adrienne were brother and sister. Steve was unrelated to Bonnie. When they bring back the same actors/actresses and put them in different roles, it hurts my brain. I loved the first Roman and when they brought him back as just totally weird with Marlena I really disliked him.
annieoParticipantKate’s wardrobe continually amazes me. What was up with the bow – she must be competing for the Easter Bunny look!
annieoParticipantThe resemblance to Gena Rowlands was amazing! I didn’t catch the show at the beginning except I saw Leann and remembered seeing in the TV Guide she was going to be on. It was uncanny. I’m not sure they even had to do much make-up touch up to make them look so alike. I also read that young Gibbs was actually played by his son. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the first few minutes of the show and then got a phone call so never really knew what was going on. I think I’ll try to catch it on line later.
annieoParticipantI really don’t see what Will or T-Man or whatever he’s called, see in these two girls (Kinsey & Mia) I’d like to smack both of them. Personally, I think all 3 of the guys should just go to the Olympics together and just take Gabi. Also, seeing Chad with the DA doesn’t compute either. They just don’t seem like a father and son at all. But then, I can’t take the guy playing the DA seriously either in his role. He doesn’t seem to have a very commanding "look" for a DA. I guess I’m stereotyping!
annieoParticipantSo glad to know that it drives other people crazy too. For some reason, it’s always bugged me!
annieoParticipantWe all know it’s only a soap, but sometimes it’s so ridiculously over the top. How many of us can find a man (or woman) that we’d jump into bed with on a moment’s notice? These people must have reverse work schedules where they work 1 hour a day and take 7 hours for lunch. That way they all have time for jumping into bed with someone else when there’s a glitch in their current relationship. Repeat, it’s only a soap, it’s only a soap…
