They’ll need a doctor at the hospital.  Dan can’t operate because of his hands, I would think Lexie would be gone due to her new job.  Do cities really have appointed Health Commissioners?  I really don’t have a clue.  In our county, we have a Health Department but I don’t know if it’s an appointed position or elected.

it’s on Netflix, if you’re a customer.  You can watch it online.    As I told my friend when she got hooked on Season 2 without knowing the background of Season 1,  it was worth it to sign up for Netflix online just to watch the first season.  You can always drop the membership after that.  Fortunately, she was able to get Season 1 from our local library, (and it’s not a really "big" library).  I’m sure they’ll get Season 2 as well but I haven’t checked for it.

I guess I may not have believed the results given this is Salem and had it done over.

Seems like when he had a DNA test for Maggie he would have had a light bulb moment and had one done for Parker.  It’s only a soap.

I mentioned it at a club meeting the other night and only 1 person there besides me were watching and the rest had never heard of it!   But the two of us watching had a great discussion.  These people just don’t know what they are missing.  I guess I’m not really being fair as there are many, many TV shows that I never tune into and I really just happened into Season 1 Downton A.   via Netflix, but became hooked immediately.  I read two things online.  One was that it’ll start again in Sept. and Two. PBS has not chosen an airdate for Season 3.  I hope it’s the former and not the latter.  And you are right, Maggie Smith has some laugh out loud one-liners.

I have been one week ahead of myself all month!  It was the 2/12 show where Lavinia tripped.

Don’t know if either of you who posted are still as hooked as I am, but I just burst out laughing last week when Lavinia picked up the tray, tripped and Matthew jumped out of his wheelchair to save her.  I told my husband that was such a typical soap opera move!  But I didn’t care, because I just love this show.  I love the zingers that Maggie Smith has.  Did either of you see the parody on Saturday Night Live several weeks ago?  It was an absolute hoot.  I also saw Daisy, Mrs. Patmore and the chauffeur on some awards show.  Daisy is so cute dressed up and they were talking about next season.  I can’t wait!  But I guess I’ll have to.

I see you used the word consummate as an adjective but I also see where it could be used as a verb when it comes to Sami.

I can’t help but think of the story of the man on his roof asking God to save him from the raging flood waters.  After turning down several boats to save him by telling the rescuers  "God will save me" he finally drowned.  When he got to heaven he asked God why he didn’t save him. God replied – "who do think sent the boats?"  I think maybe God has sent the last baby in "the boat" and they’re not listening.  Do they not wonder if another pregnancvy might not kill her?   Then what happens to all the rest of the Duggar children?

plus I was really hoping Mondo would win last night.  I guess he didn’t show enough "skin" on his model.  The model that Kara had was so anorexic nothing would look on her and last night’s dress really emphasized it.  I was shocked, though, when she was left and April was ousted.  They must have kept her for the drama.  She always seems so overly anxious.  Wow, Rami has an amazingly good looking body!  I can’t understand, also, why the judges liked Mila’s dress.  It must have looked better close up, because on my tv I thought it was not attractive at all, especially when paired with the heavy sagging belt and the shoes.  On another totally different subject, the show following, 24-Hour CatWalk is, in my opinion, just awful.  I don’t know the host’s name, but she doesn’t look like a fashion icon to me.  Her hair and her clothes are just plain odd.

I’ve listened to many of Robert B Parker’s books on tape and/or CD (on tape? Yes, I’ve been listening a long time!) and I’ve really grown accustomed to the reader (Joe Mantegna).  He just makes Spenser and Hawk (I love Hawk) come alive.  So when I’m actually reading a book I always hear his voice as I’m reading.  One time, though, they had a different reader for one of Parker’s books and it just wasn’t the same.  I just couldn’t get "into" it as much.  That being said, I did not know Parker died and I just went to Amazon for the name of his last book and then to my local library website and was amazed to find the book on CD was actually available (both hard copies were checked out).  It’s now on reserve for me.   Thanks for the heads up!

I found this article online, which is  an absolute hoot to read in it’s entirety, but this is one paragraph.

Christina, who I am warming to, is all aflutter after deciding she’s going to make a small purse, called a minaudiere, (min-oh-dee-air, not min-oh-dee-ay, and honestly, I wouldn’t have known that if I didn’t look it up, but you also don’t see me tossing around fancy French fashion words like Pillsbury croissants) and, according to Merriam-Webster, mispronounces the word fifteen times in six minutes.

Here’s the total article if you can get it to come up.

because it seems like whenever an "old" actor returns, I never seem to like them as well.  I loved Anna and Caliope and that storyline was strange.  And when Patch and Kayla returned they lived in a hotel room didn’t they?  Family all around and they are in a hotel?  And I’ve never been a big Marlena and John fan.  Even though I said I was giving up watching, I tried to find the Horton tree decorating, but ended up sorta fast forwarding on Hulu and got the Monday storyline instead.  Now I can see where you are all coming from on your remarks about the Will actor.  He’s quite good and Sami IS really clueless!  I guess the tree decorating must have been the Tuesday show.   I’ll have to try again when I have 30 minutes down time.

I hope she still sees him for the sweet, sane, person that he is (even with Sami as a  mother).  There is an article in the TV Guide for next week about the storyline.  Will’s going to turn into a very dark (rage, etc) character because he’s in denial.  It’s a storyline that’s going well into January.

I also remember how ungodly uncomfortable it was – it was probably worse than wearing a girdle or spanx because it was a double control top!  Makes me suck in my stomach just thinking about it!
