LOL, o.k. I don’t want to, but am going to chime in here, because I began going grey at age 28. My aunt was completely grey at age 21. My dad was white haired by the time he was 45. What I am getting at is people do grey early. And yep, I colored my hair for quite a while…so guess what? All those chemicals damaged my hair so badly, it began to fall out, thin out, whatever you want to call it. And needless to say, no more coloring. Nature has taken it’s course.
I don’t think Sami’s is grey….just looks that way..but I will fault the hairdressers, and pulling the hair back tightly when roots are showing so much is a bad decision.
And I guess we know MAYBE why Kate’s hair is 17 different colors. LOL
did a whole segment on Gloria Swanson, and in it, there was a snip of an interview with Bob Newhart, who talked about Sunset Blvd. Swanson received an Academy Award (plus other awards) for that role.
a high end turban……..Very Gloria Swanson like, don’t you think. LOL…..Louise Sorel has said that is sort of how over the top she has been portraying Vivian, (Sunset Blvd, I think was the movie – Carol Burnett used to parody it a lot, lol)
any of these returns. I think the most we could hope for would be short stays for any of them. I think someone was asking for a recast of Abby, not Jack & Jenn. I also think Eric is overdue back in Salem, and think Dan Wells (who played Stan…when Ali Sweeney was on maternity leave) would be perfect…however….knowing how Days and it’s viewers always wants to pair folks up….there doesn’t seem to be any untaken females floating around currently.
John Clarke has been asked, but has been ailing himself, so unless Days plans to spring another "secret" filming as they did with LeAnn Hunley (Anna) he will not be appearing. And supposedly, there are no plans to "kill him off". Both he & Frances Reid have lifetime contracts and have been with the show since Day 1. If Alice is still alive and unseen, same will go for Mickey. Kevin Dobson is no longer, evidently, going to be used as Mickey, which is why we saw the pictures.
Maybe the Christmas show is going to show flashbacks…as some storm is going to prevent Mickey from getting back to Salem in time to celebrate Christmas.
Maggie’s big story involves Melanie, I believe, as the two were interviewed together at Day of Days event, and it was Melanie who was gushing over the "huge" story Maggie was doing and how wonderful she was in it.
Melanie’s reaction to Carly was entirely toooo "over the top", IMO. O.K. Mel was in a bad mood, there was an accident. Melanie admitted to Arianna later that she knew it was accidental, and just is taking her frustration out on everyone else. And yet, just a bit later, she is being very nasty to Carly, in fact, tooo nasty…..for what went on at the Cafe.
They still use the Dot.com set, only now it is Java Cafe.
Java Cafe used to be outdoors, in Salem Place, but then they took down the Salem Place area (Ballistix, the movie theatre, Johnny’s Burgers, Java Cafe – I was there, lolol). So they just changed the sign over Dot.com and took out all the computers.
Very disappointed that the Holidays are being ignored. At least last year, with Sami in Witness Protection, both Halloween & Thanksgiving were celebrated.
Oh, we will get Christmas, definitely…..but I think that is going to be it. Perhaps with the way 1 day lasts 2 weeks in Salem, and then suddenly 3 weeks have passed..TPTB figure it is better to cope.
But I am guessing it is once again, budget, budget, budget. Heck, they cannot even do a wedding or Christening properly, as it would mean too many characters being present.
Frances Reid is very frail, and has a great deal of trouble with her memory. Days was hoping that perhaps she might be able to be on the Christmas show, with no lines, just sitting in the chair, but that was not possible, so I understand.
Count ourselves blessed that we have the memories we do of Alice & Tom Horton at Christmas.
Rafe was NOT raised in the orphanage. He has told the story of his family living in the neighborhood, of how he was on the streets in the wrong crowd (gangs or something) and how the good Sister (Agnes?) took him under her wing and got him on the straight and narrow. Sami once asked him if he had other family and he only said he did not want to talk about that now.
When Arianna first appeared, she definitely said she & Rafe had not seen each other for a long, long time.
And it was Nicole who first appeared in Salem, followed soon by Taylor & Brandon. I remember Taylor was using a different last name and Nicole did not want anyone to know she was her sister. Nicole & Taylor had the same parents, Brandon was the result of an affair. Nicole’s father was very abusive, which is how Abe came to be involved in the family’s lives.
