Participantthis afternoon and saw him. I thought it was interesting that he and Brooke Burns, who played the lead in the movie, acted together on North Shore. That was the TV series that Phillip was on when he left Days the first time around. Also, did you notice that new Belle was one of the bridesmaids in the movie? I kept looking at her trying to place her and then realized who it was. And we thought she was sailing around the world with Shawn D. and Claire!

Participantreally say she was being written out of the show, so not exactly a spoiler.

ParticipantCraig and Nancy would be great!!

Participantnew hairstyle either, but loved his conversation with Gabby yesterday. He is such a level-headed young man in spite of the rollercoaster childhood he has had. (I hope they don’t turn him to the dark side!) In fact, I love it when the show focuses on friendships, such as Melanie and Abby, Will and Sonny, and now Gabby and Will. It reminds me of the conversations that Hope and Jennifer have had in the past.

ParticipantThe vacancy will probably be filled by Melanie or Lexie’s brother, who looks like he barely got out of medical school.

ParticipantHow many of us would reject a child we thought was our own if we found out that he/she wasn’t? Nary a one of us I bet! There is no way I could stop loving the children I have raised from birth, or boyhood in Stefano’s and E.J.’s case. Stefano found out Tony wasn’t his son and treated him like crap, but grieved at his death. You would think Stefano would have learned his lesson after that. Wonder if he will reject his beloved grandchildren, too!

ParticipantIt’s getting clearer and clearer that it’s all about popularity. I think that’s why Jessica was "out" (until she was saved) last week. Skylar is my least favorite, too, so hope she goes home. I liked Hollie a lot more last night and ditto for Phillip, though he has been my favorite for a while. I thought that was an odd remark that Joshua made to J Lo about her abs, but of course she ate it up. I didn’t like Colton at all last night. My pick for the bottom three tonight are Colton, Jessica, and Skylar, though I’m sure I’ll be wrong!

ParticipantMaybe Sami will hire Lucas if the rumors are right that Stefano makes her head of Countess W. But, who asks Lucas to go against Sami–Ian?

ParticipantI’m thinking that it may have something to do with how the judges treat the contestants. It’s almost as if the voters deliberately reject someone that the judges push. Look what happened to falsetto guy. The judges don’t seem to do the singers any favors by bragging on them too much. Maybe voters also felt like Jessica was getting too confident since the whole world raved over her since the beginning. Also, I think voters tend to vote for a contestant based on charisma and personality rather than strickly a good voice. Sometimes I can’t explain why I like one singer over another. I know it isn’t just voice alone. These are just speculations, though. Maybe it is just that this group of singers is so good that it is hard for ANYONE to get the boot. Question: will two people get voted off next week?
And p.s., I don’t see how Skylar stays every week either. Guess she has a big following somewhere.

Participantif it means Days will stay on the air. I wonder what losing these four will mean for Jennifer, Brady, Rafe, etc., etc.

Participantand good. As for the cost, fruit is just expensive any way you buy it. When I buy cut-up fruit in our cafeteria at work, the smallest amount is at least $2-$3. You do need to eat the arrangement in one day or the next since it is ripe fruit. Guess taking it apart and putting it in the fridge would help a lot.

ParticipantI am going to fix deviled eggs tomorrow, so maybe I’ll try to fix them your way. We’re having a beautiful weekend, though a little on the warm side. Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. Drive safely if you have to leave home.

ParticipantAgree about Kate’s blue streak. Things like that should be passing fads and not something you keep around for years, long after the fad’s surprise element and whimsy have faded!

ParticipantSami’s approach to things is annoying sometimes, but on the topic of Carrie and Marlena, I agree totally with everything you said. I haven’t seen Monday’s episode yet, but whenever Carrie and Marlena are on the screen, I usually do get frustrated with their conversations. I think what Carrie did is pretty much unforgivable, and I don’t say things like that lightly when family issues are involved, but come on–it’s almost the same as what Taylor and EJ did.

ParticipantRenee’s wanting to go back to a place like she knew in her childhood. I grew up on a farm, too, and there is nothing like the peacefulness of being in the country. I hope it turns out to be all that she remembers.
