incredibly good the last couple of months. I don’t know if they have someone new on staff but whoever is responsible gets my applause!

Now, some other stuff. I can’t stand Ava, character or actor. She left me absolutely flat last time she was on and I’m not expecting much more this time either. I don’t know what TFlo and Patti see in her.

And, yes, Jack is definitely a stand-alone name. I know a couple of them. Just like Steve/Steven, Mike/Michael, Andy/Andrew, well, you get the drift. But I just knew Jack would come in there somewhere. But why do they have to name all these kids after someone? How about some original and different names for a change, like Tate?

And finally…Hope and the doctor? How absolutely ridiculous was that scene. He was all tied up, being tortured, then he turns the tables and is on the verge of killing Hope then all of a sudden, “Oh, let’s make a deal, shall we?” She let’s him walk out the door like nothing has happened. Boy, that was the epitome of trust. Totally, entirely unbelievable. Not only that, with all those volts the doctor took, he wouldn’t be walking as gingerly as he was…IF he could walk at all. And Hope wouldn’t be able to utter a word after being choked for that long.

whole heartedly. What a performance he has delivered. Of course those nutzo cases are usually much easier to portray than the regular, run-of-the-mill lines they have to deliver the rest of the time. When you make those exciting, they you are definitely Emmy worthy.

just that I think we become accustomed to the actors as they progress and begin to accept their idiosyncrasies as part of them and, in the end, end up liking the actor in the role, as I mentioned I did with the first Brady. And people have claimed many other cases over time where it has happened to them too.

So, let’s just see what happens. Personally, I don’t think she’s that bad. Yes, the clenched teeth is annoying but that is apparently the way she speaks and is not part of the role so I’ll just accept ol’ Vivie as she is. :o)

because newborns do not produce tears until they are several months old, only enough to keep their eyes moist and then not until they are two weeks old.

I don’t think for the short time that baby cried it was at all harmful. After all, they do need to cry to develop their lungs. I would like to see a mother with a baby that is picked up the moment it cries.

so I can compare it some time down the road when Ciara becomes everybody favorite character and is no longer criticized for the way she is delivering her lines. I certainly learned that lesson with Brady (Kyle Lauder) because at first I thought he was the worst actor ever and absolutely hated him, along the same lines as I now feel about Theresa. But what happened? He completely turned me around.

So, I suspect this may happen with Ciara also and I will be able to compare then and now to see if she changes or we do, because I’m pretty sure it’s going to happen.

without a problem because he cried constantly for his entire first year!!! It seemed nothing I could do would comfort him. In retrospect, I think a lot of it was inexperience on my part and probably a lot of colic to boot.

Roman should have put her on a forced leave of absence immediately, not only as her superior but as her BIL. I don’t care how mentally stable one is, what she went through is above and beyond what anyone could reasonably tolerate and certainly not a cop with a vendetta. She should have also been required to receive counseling. In fact, I think that is mandatory when a cop shoots (or kills, not sure which) someone. That’s just downright dangerous to let her continue working.

It’s not just the fight/threat/violent scenes he is doing so well but just his quiet menacing looks have been exceptional. You can really see his brain spinning out of control trying to decide what to do and the conflict he’s being faced with. I take back what I said and agree, he should definitely get a nomination nod for this work.

that those type scenes are rarely submitted for awards because they are meaty and any half-assed actor can really get into them so much more than the quieter dramatic scenes. That’s why I don’t think we’ll be seeing Hope’s grief-stricken scenes up for an Emmy. IIRC, we didn’t see any of her post Zack scenes either, even though she did a fantastic job with them.

that’s what old age does to you. You’ll get used to it. :o) Now don’t get mad. Remember you were thankful for Patti and me on Thanksgiving. If you didn’t have me as your antagonist, who would fill my shoes?
