I don’t understand why he can’t see the writing on the wall. The way these two get along (like oil and water) how could they ever have a happy, or successful relationship? Wake up and smell the divorce court, Rafe.
I love him, he’s such a cutie. I always watched Merv ‘Griffin’s Crosswords" mostly because of him. He’d be a good match for Carly.
I carry very little in mine. The only cosmetic I have is lipstick. I have a tiny bottle of aspirin, wallet, DayTimer, nail file, comb, protein bar, phone (a heavy one, a Jitterbug because I also am old!) and Kleenex. I leave my keys in my car while I’m at home so the only time they’re in there is when I’m out somewhere.
I use to carry a bunch of make-up but when I found I never used it I finally took it out. I guess the stray dogs will have to attack me although I feel I’ve learned enough from Cesar Millan to ‘talk them down.’
But I do have emergency supplies in my car. I have a kit I got for Christmas once from my ex (DH #1) that has everything you’d need in an emergency while out in your car. I have water, tools, first aid kit, rope, flares, folding shovel, more protein bars, umbrella (I live in Florida where the sun can be deadly plus it rains almost every day in the summer), beach towel, and a bag of shop rags. And in all the years I’ve been carrying it aound, I’ve never used a thing. But watch what would happen if I took any of them out.
I guess this should have gone on the Pub forum, huh? Jenn, you want to move it? I can’t help but say how I love how we can get off on these tangents so frequently. But look what you learn about the others ‘girls’ here.
I find it rather strange that America’s Got Talent is judged by two Brits and a Canadian. Couldn’t they find any Americans that can judge American talent?

I’m not very impressed with anyone in particular this season. I don’t see anyone with what Howie calls "the wow factor." The mom of the girl who starred in ‘Precious’ is pretty good but doesn’t impress me. I was sorry to see the harmonica guy go. I don’t think people appreciate harmonica playing anymore. Nobody really stands out for me. At this point, I’d take the ones who dance on the wall (amazing and unique) or the group that performs in the dark (also very unique and intriguing).
At first I was very much for Sami/EJ but when Nicole came back I was hoping more for their pairing. Although there was never any real sizzling love between them, I thought the characters were well suited for each other and am still holding out a little hope they could get back together.
Anyway, if we can’t have E-cole, I’d take EJami.
But since this thread is about Rafe, have you ever seen such a sad example of an FBI agent. He has been working on one case, and one case only, for how long? And doesn’t have a thing except his baseless speculations. IRL, I think he’d be out looking for a new job.
Kate and Stefano’s marriage was actually ‘working out.’ I wanted Kate to be miserable and receive pay-back for what she did to Chloe. But it surprised me to see I actually like their close relationship. We know that Stefano has always ‘cared’ for Kate but she seems to have become very comfortable with him. I don’t know that she loves him but like mentioned below, they do seem to have the most stable marriage on the show. I love the little endearing mannerisms she has with him. In fact, come to think of it, who is even married besides Stefano, Victor, and Philip? They better get some of these couples hitched up. Oh, and Abe.
But, back to the subject, I’m worried about what’s going to happen when Stef finds out about this secret that Kate is keeping from him. Love or no love, I think Kate had better find a pretty sturdy suit of armor to get into.
I think playing a gay person and having to portray sexual situations (passionate kissing, for example) is a far cry from playing a slasher or serial killer. As I said before, I have no problems with homosexuality but I’d never want to kiss another woman ‘like that.’ Would any of you? But then, I may be still hung up on 1950’s values. I still have a hard time accepting bi-racial kissing.
Although playing the gay parts seems to becoming very popular to do so. I think it started with Brokeback Mountain. Those two guys got such acclaim for that movie that, IMO, wasn’t really that great, but they were lauded for so convincingly playing the not-so-stereotypipcal homosexuals . And then the Madonna/Britney thing, which I think was purely for shock value.
So it appears to me that Crystal must enjoy such a part if she played one on whatever soap that was and then chooses to again play one in her own production. That just seems kind of strange to me. But then, she could be bi also.

Lawrence (can’t for the life of me remember his name now). Hmm, kind of strange she is attracted to those parts.
We’re still wondering though if her character is leaving or if she will be replaced. I really don’t see any need for a replacement.
I think he was probably in his early 20s when he and Kate were, um, involved. So that means he would have to be at least 40+ now. Can you imagine how old that would make Carly? I know she was young when she had him but even if she was 16 (which would have been VERY young), that would make her 56 now. No, I don’t think so. Although I’d LOVE to see Nicky return, especially if it’s the same actor.
I’m holding out for him being Tony’s. Logistically it’s probably a little far-fetched but I just think Stefano has way too many kids coming out of the woodwork. Also, I think there could be a lot of potential with him being Steph’s g.son and a way for him to atone for his final treatment of Tony. But, that’s JMHO.
