running away like that, for me, was vintage Kim.  It really brought back the old memories.

I imagine Kim and Kayla l left their kids at home since they are not actually related to Alice.  Jen didn’t bring Jack either.

after Carrie and Sami burying the hatchet if they were going to try that with Kate and Sami also.  I thought to myself, if I were Sami, could I ever make amends with Kate.  My answer was absolutely no.  Once a snake, always a snake.  I don’t care how sweet and nice she was, her spots will never change.  Kate is up to something no good…what’s new?

it was entirely made up by Sami so Carrie wouldn’t marry Austin.

an absolutly supurb episode, probably the best ever.  Kudos to the writers and TPTB for this episode.  It was so well done.  I was afraid it’d be all flashbacks but it was just the right amount.  Forget a three-hankie show, it was a whole bath towel one.  The tears started when Lucas took Tom’s picture and looked around the house, as if for the last time.  It was as if the door was closing on an era which we’ll never see again.  And it just went on from there.  Everyone did such a fabulous job.  Jen and Hope seemed to be especially affected by losing their Gran.

I didn’t mind the entire show not being devoted strictly to the tribute.  I think that would have been too much to bear.  This way, it gave us a moment to ‘recuperate’ and dry our eyes.

Good job, everbody, good job!  And thank you.

There is no way anyone could ever become a judge with prostitution in their past.  Everyone is so thoroughly vetted that something like that would be absolutely certain to come out.  You’ve got to be squeaky clean to be either appointed or elected a judge.

But, again I say, that tape was just a means to bring out whatever is in that envelope and my best guess is that it has to do with Chad’s parentage.  And the obvious?  Stephano is the daddy!  Actually, I’d like it better if it turned out to be EJ but I don’t think the ages would permit that.  Not that that ever stopped them before.

that both Sami and Hope were wearing KA’s Fleur de Lis earrings yesterday?  I thought it was kind of strange they would both wear them on the same day.

They do have a lot of really nice stuff, especially Hope’s.  That is, except for Kate’s…I think her’s comes from Goodwill!  I remember when Marlena was selling a Days hourglass pendant on HSN.  I really wanted one of them but missed the opportunity.  So it would be nice to know where to get the stuff.  But I’m sure KA must have a website for hers.

A product placement merely appears in the scene where you can see it and it shows the brand name.  This was an outright commercial where they spoke of the product and praised it.

she was stuck with him.  I thought, yeah, first you take your brother’s first wife, now you’re going to take his second?    I hope he stays also.  He’s very good looking, an acceptable actor and could fit right into several places on the show.

Maybe a good storyline would be a triangle between Bill, Victor and Maggie!!!

I’m sure Mike is familiar with being released AMA (Against Medical Advice).  He could have just gotten up, put his clothes on and left.  As important as it was, that would have been the logical thing to do, especially since he wasn’t hurt.

I’ve lived through a lot of earthquakes, big and small, including the Loma Prieta one at 7.0 magnitude and living in Los Gatos, only 3 miles from the epicenter (that’s REALLY close), I can tell you that earthquakes are some of the scariest things you can encounter.  Not only do you not have any warning whatsoever, you don’t know how big they are going to be or how long they will last.

During the Loma Prieta quake, I was on the 10th floor, under my desk, just waiting for the floor to fall away from me and praying the shaking would stop.  And when it did, looking at the big crack in the wall right next to the elevator door and not giving a second thought to hiking down those ten flights of stairs.  (Which made me appreciate the people going down all those stairs on 9/11.)

Ten years of living in Florida later, I’m just now getting comfortable with stopping beneath underpasses or on bridges in my car and not tensing up when a truck rumbles by and jiggles the ground.  Unless you have experienced one, you can’t possible imagine how scary they can be.  Add to that when you live in an area where you don’t expect them to happen, it can be quite an experience.

I’ve also endured the Wilma hurricane (pretty severe one where I live) and I’ll take that ANYTIME over an earthquake.

what their payroll must be right now.  Talk about splurging!  Let’s see, they’ve added:  Shane, Melissa, Marie, Jennifer, Bill, Laura, Kayla, Mike, Carrie, who have I forgotten?

I don’t think the tape is the real thrust of this storyline.  I wouldn’t be surprised to discover that we never see or hear of it again because I think it was only used as a means to enable Kate to find the envelope with whatever it contains.  I think THAT is going to be our story.  Just speculation though.

and THAT was one of the worst storylines ever.  Sometimes we forget about these little tidbits when we’re casting stones at other characters.
