…and bite it hard. I’d definitely put my foot through the TV if that happens.
And I’d still like to know where this Daniel-as-father came from. Is it just speculation or is it a spoiler? I sure hope that doesn’t happen.
BonbonParticipantI think it would be a great storyline if Viv continues to believe Mia is Carly’s daughter and goes after her with guns ablazing. They could likely take it so far that she even kills Mia. After all, Mia isn’t that big of a character to the show that she couldn’t be sacraficed.
Then, after the deed, Vivian and Victor find out their mistake. Then there could be some real disasterous effects. The way these writers carry things on ad infinitum, I don’t believe we’re going to see any earth shattering events for a while anyway.
And did anybody else find that conversation between Carly and Mel today somewhat unbelievable?
BonbonParticipantWhy is everybody talking about Dan being Mel’s father. First, I though there weren’t supposed to be spoilers here. Second, I haven’t heard anything at all about him even being a possibility. What gives?
BonbonParticipantRemember, when Carly went to Maggie’s house, she didn’t know that Hope knew she had sex (I refuse to say "slept with") with Bo. Bo had left her a message but she hadn’t read it yet. I’m sure if she had known that Hope was aware of their escapade, she would never have shown her face there. At least I hope not.

BonbonParticipantThat is one thing the writers on this show have always done. Nothing is either all black or all white. They make their villians sometimes show their humanity in ways that make them not so bad. EJ is probably the best example of that. Even Stefano at times has shown his soft side, i.e. with Sydney. And the blame in disputes is not always cut and dried. As we all know, Bo, Hope, AND Carly should have at least some of the blame laid at their feet.
BonbonParticipantI sure hope they haven’t discontinued it. No more trivia questions either. I wonder why.
BonbonParticipantIf you want to see some men that have aged very well and retained their good looks, go no farther than our own Doug Williams (Bill Hayes). For pushing 85, that man’s still very attractive.
Some more…Bob Barker at 87, Ricardo Montalban (he was 89 when he died but he was certainly a ‘looker’). George Hamilton, I know he’s just a kid at 70 but I’ve always loved him.
Who else?
On the other hand, lots of good-lookers DIDN’T age well…Clint Eastweed, Robert Redford, Charlton Heston, Tony Curtis.

And I have to disagree with you about the show tanking. I think it has gotten considerably better this past year. Yes, there are always some stinker storylines but, for the most part, I have enjoyed this past year very much. And, if I’m not mistaken, the ratings have gone up somewhat also.
BonbonParticipantI said it before and I’ll say it again, I don’t know how they will EVER justify what Bo has done this time. In the past there were always mitigating circumstances for both of them to account for their actions. This time, IMO, there is none whatsoever. As I said, the biggest mistake in TV history is not the Leno/O’Brien fiasco, it’s Bo sleeping with Carly. They have permanently ruined this couple.
BonbonParticipantIf it doesn’t run on NBC, it won’t be on Soapnet so you won’t miss anything.
I’m just glad it’s only for one day and not the entire run of the Olympics.
BTW, maybe you don’t care about watching them but there are millions of others who do and I’m sure would say, "Why do they have to run a ridiculous soap opera instead of showing the Olympics?"
BonbonParticipant,,,it’s possible that Mia did, indeed, become very attached to Mickey. Just as she considers Maggie her surrogate mother, maybe she also felt the same way about Mickey. After all, we only see these people for an hour a day. I’m just saying, it’s not out of the rhelm of possibility.
I agree it’s a shame Lucas won’t be around for Maggie to lean on. It would be a chance for him to return all Maggie has done for him. I know there are rumors of Maggie falling off the wagon but I would think now would be the time (if this is true) rather than later. I believe her pain is the most intense right now. But I could be wrong.

Occasionally over the years, I’d catch a little bit of it now and then but it was still so horrible I couldn’t believe how it stayed on the air.
