I thought it strange in the past couple of days how often Carly bounced back and forth between the hospital and Bo’s/pier/Java Cafe/pub.  What kind of doctor pops in and out of their job every 15 minutes?  Yesterday she was at the hospital in one scene, then with Bo in the next, and back at the hospital in the next, talking to Justin.

I think James Reilly must have been Catholic because before him, all the Horton’s were Protestant.  The Bradys were Catholic but they were the only ones.

They have had a couple of Asians (the girl on the island, Lucas dated one briefly) but not in any major roles.  And, you’re right, the gays they’ve had on were jokes.

I’m really surprised that some equal opportunity group hasn’t gotten after them for this.  At least the Hernandez family is a step in the right direction.

I agree with all of the above but would like to add the storyline of the implant in the tooth.  That was beyond ridiculous.  And the Princess Gina storyline went on waaaaay to long and became a joke.

And you know what I like best about it?  All the memories it brings back when each individual tells what was happening when they first started watching.

I just can’t consider Lucas a Horton.  I don’t care how they rewrite history.  If they want to continue the Horton line, bring back some real Hortons, not a retro Horton or one by marriage.

For some reason, my first couple of lines didn’t post.  Actually, what I said was I was watching the Rose Parade and they showed Gabby in the stands.

My kids wouldn’t be caught dead watching those channels.  They are 49 and 50 years old.  :o)  Although the grandkids could be watching but none of them would know who Gabby is.

That was a great tribute.  I LOVED seeing all those old pictures, it certainly brings back a lot of fond memories.

And for those of you worrying about Hope’s weight, check out the picture on the bottom left taken in 2000.  I think she’s thinner then than she is now.

I don’t understand.  Why are they doing this tribute to Mickey and have totally disregarded Mrs. H?  I have mentioned several times in the past how nice it would be if they could give her a tribute BEFORE she dies instead of waiting until after the fact when she couldn’t enjoy it herself.  Go figure!

Yes, that was a very nice scene and didn’t those two look absolutely smashing?  Although I think I would have worn a dress for a formal evening.  They both were wearing pants.

I was thinking of how much weight Julie has gained since her earlier days and wonder if the same thing will happen to Hope.  Can you imagine Hope with an extra 50 pounds?  Maybe that’d make her a normal weight!

My mom watched from the beginning.  She had to leave for her Senior Citizen meeting before it was over so asked me to watch and tell her what happened.  But I wasn’t hooked until 1969 when I was in the hospital with back surgery.  I liked watching the game shows and Days came on right after them, so, rather than get up and change the channel (no remotes in those days), I kept watching the soaps.  First Days and then The Doctors, and, the rest they say is history.  The addiction was permanently set.

I missed a few years before the dawn of VCRs but not very many.

I’m like you, Shadow, retired but I still record it and watch it later to skip the commercials.  And I’m probably older than you too.  Just endured my 70th birthday.

I tried to not like Carly when she returned but she’s such a good actor, I just couldn’t do it.  I liked her before too but really don’t want her coming between Bo and Hope but it looks like that’s a done deal.  I still think they ought to put her with Justin.  Gosh, I love him and I couldn’t care less about him when he was on before.  He’s such a cutie!

After being hospitalized twice this past year, I’m really pulling for a HEALTHY 2010.  And I’m sure Nora would agree with me.  But I’d also like to wish everyone here a healthy, along with a prosperous and peaceful, New Year to one and all.

Now don’t stay up too late, or drink too much ya hear?

I took him to be in his early 20s.  It’s probably not any worse than Philip and Melanie.  There’s gotta be at least 15 years between those two.  Mia is what, 17?  Actually she’s probably too young (maturity wise) for him but I was just trying to come up with someone.

Thanks for posting that, Jason.  It was very interesting.  I’m somewhat of a trivia nut so I really enjoy reading these things.

I thought I was the only one here who sympathized with Stephanie.  Although, after despising her, Melanie has mellowed out a little, but I still like Steph better and though the pairing with Philip was a good one.  In fact, I still get the impression they both still love each other.

I wonder how many people would like her better if they wrote her part differently.  Because I think she’s a good actor, very pretty (after all, she was Miss Teen America), and is an asset to the show.
