but I sure hope they don’t recast Melanie’s role; because Molly Burnett was the personification of "Melanie," to me – – the personality, the quirks, and the uniqueness. I don’t think it would be the same, if she were replaced. I’m hoping they just have her ride off into the sunset, on her way to Dario or something.

exactly, Patti. Molly Burnett is doing a great job, and I’m a long-time fan. What perplexes me is that they are making Chad look so vulnerable to Gabi’s beck and call. I mean, if he misses Melanie, how would he be so easy for Gabi to manipulate? Even if Chad thinks Melanie will never come back, I would think he would need some time before moving on. Gabi seems so confident that she can get Chad by snapping her finger, which will probably happen. I don’t like this storyline at all, unless Melanie manages to escape and things turn out in Melanie’s favor.

honest, I am in agreement with everything you said about Carrie. Truth be known, I think the character was boring as all get-out. Also, I am glad someone brought up holier-than-thou Marlena. I feel the same way about it.

being completely fooled by Carrie. I bet when they get back to Switzerland (or wherever), Carrie will still be unhappy. I won’t be surprised when, one day on the show, someone in Salem mentions that Carrie strayed again, and Austin finally left her.

insight, Patti! It made me look more deeply into Nicole’s and Dan’s common histories and why they may just make a solid couple. Good for the writers. I am already getting more intrigued with the potential those two have together.

Dan left abruptly and am glad he is back. I’m looking forward to more Nicole/Dan scenes and hope they succeed as a couple.

I agree with all of the points made. I’m so disgusted with Sami these days. She is always in everyone’s face. Of course, she thinks she can do anything she wants, and, when she’s busted, she still gets up in their face.
I "sort of" like Carrie, but there wasn’t much to her storyline with Rafe to display a little more personality. Anyway, I was rooting for Carrie to beat Sami in that confrontational scene with Sami, Carrie and Marlena. Carrie was being much more mature than Sami. As for Marlena, that was the first time I ever saw Marlena show an emotion! (I’ve been wanting to say that, lol) (Dodging, lol)

I’ve missed some of their scenes, so I’ll have to pay more attention to Nicole/Dan scenes this coming week. I agree about Nicole with EJ. If not, then with Brady. Sami and Rafe: She represses him horribly. I would like to see Rafe get a better break. The Carrie scenario was dullsville to me. Brady and Madison: Never did like them together, because Madison is shockingly judgmental and lacking of trust. I think Brady deserves much better.

getting more and more cocky by the minute! Will is doing a GREAT acting job, but I hope the smugness doesn’t go overboard. At the same time, I wouldn’t want EJ to get the upper hand over Will again. It would get exhausting to see Will as a long-time, sniveling "go-fer" on the show. This last week, it’s been fun, for me, to watch the humorous dynamics between EJ and Will.
