of Days to show liquor in a recovering alcoholic’s home. I hardly think Mags would keep it in her house, but I have no doubt it’s indeed a foreshadowing of her falling off the wagon. Having said that, I think it’s an opportunity for the writers and Suzanne to shine and not fall into some stereotypical drivel.
caseyParticipantand we rarely see customers.
caseyParticipantthat such a dress would be offered up as a custom wedding gown from some haute couture European designer.
Days must be really pinching the pennies to make us believe that one. Yes, a nice airy dress to wear as a guest to a summer wedding. But hardly a show stopper. It sure looked like a number Days could afford to throw coffee on!
How far we’ve come from Hope’s legendary stunner years ago.caseyParticipantand keeps going on with nothing progressing, except Troy continously running into bad timing trying to off Ari. Just how has she been working her way into seeing the big boss?
Let’s get some movement on this.caseyParticipantshould be the one to finger Anna; otherwise why would she have recognized the voice?
Remember, Anna was never a mother to Carrie and it’s clear she’s getting antzy with babysitting. And she’s a loose, flakey cannon who’s not going to be patient much longer.caseyParticipantDoc Baker may surface again? I keep going back to that last scene where he was shown just slightly moving his finger when he was supposed to be dead.
caseyParticipantI’m sure Kate figured she could swoop in on a fragile Maggie like a vulture, but it didn’t happen. And I liked how the scene built up too and in the end Kate was the prey!
caseyParticipantWhy does Days insist on giving us so many super bratty teens!
caseyParticipantVivian doesn’t capture/imprison Mia – had enough of that!
caseyParticipantViv actually killed Mia, thinking she’s Carly’s daughter. I’m not invested in this character and she seems disposable (no pun intended!) for me.
caseyParticipantthe wedge between Dan and Chloe – her inability to have kids while Dan does. I think Dan is a logical educated guess as the dad because A) Carly mentioned he was a doc and they knew each other back in the day.
caseyParticipantThinking the same thing about how can Melissa be mom to Nathan?? Heck, she doesn’t look old enough!
And yes, another forcing “da plot” by making Mel and Mia despise Carly for next to no reason.
I remember in the earlier days w/Suzanne Rogers having that illness and her face was quite puffy – not sure from the disease or treatment. She sure looks wonderful now though. So glad to see her in an expanded role.
Did everyone notice Maggie was wearing red shoes today? Nice touch.caseyParticipantHere Days has shaved off a couple minutes at the end. The first day it was room for a Haiti update. I didn’t watch long enough today.
Also I noted a lot of commercials so maybe that figures in?caseyParticipantCarly is always pulling that act of being so noble – like today packing her bags. But it doesn’t take much for Bo to convince her otherwise. She is a slug and Bo not far behind. With so little emotional regard for his wife, how can their marriage and connection ever be retrieved?
January 12, 2010 at 10:30 pm in reply to: This situation with the characters of Bo and Carly makes me wonder if….. #9571caseyParticipanttoward Hope. He simply looked a bit sheepish when Hope confronted him.
But I too, like Luckey am dumbfounded as to what the writers are thinking. Has it really failed to dawn on them that we viewers aren’t buying this latest musical partners thing – yet again! – between this longtime fav couple? Gee, you’d think by Days running those flashbacks they’d remember how loved this pair was and how dedicated to one another.
Is this story simply a motive for some adulterous sex scenes? Have we come down to that?
I mean, the writing/behavior of these characters is hardly endearing to the audience. -
