I agree with you. I really can’t stomach Sami right now. That she’s making goo goo eyes at EJ makes me ill. Joking about all the horrid things that are ‘now in the past’. And today, when Rafe brought up Sidney’s kidnapping, she said something about you’re really reaching into the past–it was hard to understand what exactly she said. But that is the problem–she should never forget the awful things that EJ has done to her and those precious children that he claims to love so much. If they hadn’t had him do so many disgusting things to her I could possibly see them as a couple. But they just make me sick right now and I hit the FF button regularly when they are on.
daysfanParticipantCount me as another who gets physically ill whenever EJ is on screen. Two words out of his mouth and I have to hit the FF button. That’s why I never watch it live any more; I’d have to change the channel while he was on. But I must say, I did watch the scenes with him and Lucas. Go Lucas! It’s usually when he’s with Sami that I can’t stomach it.
daysfanParticipantI was just going to say the same thing! I really enjoy her as Maxie and can’t wait to see her return to that role. I would rather see Martha Madison return as Belle on Days.
daysfanParticipantClosing ceremonies are on Sunday and Days returns on Monday August 13! I enjoy the Olympics but I’m also ready for them to be over after 2 weeks.
daysfanParticipantI’m in Alberta, Canada and we haven’t had the day ahead for months now. I think it changed in March; there were some interruptions to the NBC broadcasts one week (cannot remember why anymore!) and the day the show returned, I saw a repeat of earlier that week. And since then, I have gotten the same-day show that you are getting in the US. My TV provider gives me feeds from the west coast to the east coast (well, Toronto) but they all show the same episode that you see. It was a bummer to lose the day ahead but it’s easier to read the boards because everyone is discussing the same show.
daysfanParticipantAnd did I miss it (because I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t always pay close attention when the show is on); did they say anything about realizing how Brady was getting drugged? Because even if he completed his rehab, inpatient or outpatient, if he keeps drinking his protein shakes he’ll be high again in no time. And last we saw of Madison, she wasn’t exactly believing him that Ian was drugging him–that changed very quickly off screen. But I guess that’s the transition to the new writers so I can accept that.
daysfanParticipantI just drove by the elementary school in my area this afternoon and they have a big sign outside that announces special dates. The message on the board today was:
Last day of school–June 28!!
daysfanParticipantI couldn’t take my eyes off the TV the whole time he was walking the wire! Couldn’t believe that he sprinted to the finish either. I heard him say at the end that he had gotten the permit to cross the Grand Canyon but didn’t know when that will be.
daysfanParticipantI was thinking the same thing about the paper under the door! No way that Roman couldn’t have heard them. And why would a safe house be soundproofed? So they could have a loud party while they’re stuck in there? How would they know if the enemy had discovered their safe house and was sneaking up on them? They wouldn’t know what hit them.
daysfanParticipantWell, we’ve had snow the last 2 days here in Alberta, Canada! Definitely still wearing coats, hats, mittens . . . . But then it can warm up quite nicely in a day or two and then get cold and snowy again. So I can understand their choice of clothing.
daysfanParticipantI thought that when they were taking Colton out, someone brought up the idol that he had around his neck. Jeff told Colton that it was up to him to decide what he wanted to do with the idol. That he could give it to someone or keep it. And Colton decided to keep it as a souvenir. But then, I don’t always pay close attention to what they are saying so I might be wrong! I was just glad that Colton was out.
daysfanParticipantand patients or their families have to go down to the information desk to buy a phone and have it hooked up in their room. The phone is theirs to keep then, and if they bring it back the next time they are in hospital, they still have to pay to use it that admission. We still have those little TVs that swing out on an arm at each bedside and patients have to pay for those too. And they certainly aren’t cheap! So I guess those are some of the little differences between Canada and the U.S.
daysfanParticipantWhat happened to the excitement of the ‘reset’ back in September; the promise of the return to family values and romance? If they call those sex scenes with Madison and Brady romance, those writers have no idea of romance! And this Carrie and Rafe thing is so disgusting and contrived–the Rafe I know would never act like this. Austin and Abby make me ill. And if I have to watch Hope with that agonized look on her face again about whether or not to open that stupid box. . . . how many episodes are going to be wasted with that back and forth garbage? Just goes to show; everytime we complain about the writers and get excited for new ones, reality comes crashing down on us and each set of writers seems worse than the last. Even when you don’t think it is possible. About the only reason I am hanging on is to see Lucas but if they handle that like the rest of the stories, it probably won’t be worth my time.
daysfanParticipantSo that anyone entering the place has to walk through the ongoing class in order to stop and register at the desk as most people have to do when they enter such a place? It’s very strange to me. And I agree with others; I have absolutely no use for the character of Quinn and cannot understand why TPTB decided he was such an asset that they had to bring him back.
daysfanParticipantI thought the same thing when I saw her on screen! My first reaction was wow!, Taylor looks good today. I still can’t wait for her to be gone though.
