Did you also read on there the Susan Seaforth Hayes returns to Young & Restless. Bummer. I hope it’s just a short stint and she’ll continue playing Julie.
One thing I think we’re overlooking. The writers/producers or directors may have no say in how the product is shown. The sponsor could have certain requirements and if they’re paying enough then TPTB will go along with it.
I have a review blog and some of the companies sponsor giveaways. One had a requirement for the review that I place an ad of a certain size in a certain spot. She also wanted so many links using certain words to very specific pages on the website included in the review. Since it was a $200 Warhol style 4 panel print of my granddaughter I went along with it. Other ones want certain requirements for entry to the giveaway such as the entrant has to Tweet the giveaway using a certain link back to their website or sign up for a newsletter. Then there are the ones that don’t care what you write or the entry requirements as long as it’s positive and if it’s not then let them know before I post. I’ve actually only had one item I absolutely hated and told them there was no way I could write a positive review and be honest and I refuse to lie. They told me to forget about it then.
Days Cafe does go on to say that Stefano is suspicious and tries to talk to Chad so Maddie’s exit isn’t going to put an end to whatever the secret is.
I know timing and timelines aren’t that important to the writers but thinking about it there’s no way Chad could be Stefano’s unless he and Maddie hooked up years later. Chad and Will are almost the same age. According to the history we’ve been fed so far Kate was a call girl for Stefano way before Lucas was born or during his formative years and she’d given up that life after she moved back to Salem. It was after that that Will was born. From what we’ve been led to believe Maddie was in the business when Kate was UNLESS Kate was soliciting new girls for Stef while she was married to Victor or working for Titan.
I’ve had this nagging feeling that Maddie might be Stefano’s daughter making Chad his grandson, OR as some have mentioned Tony or EJ’s son BUT possibley with her dislike of Mia, that Mia and Chad are brother and sister but that wouldn’t explain the Stefano connectioin. But the theory that Chad’s an Alamain is good too and one I never thought of.
There’s just so many ways they could go with this story but now they can continue it and uncover the truth without Maddie having to be there.

It’s a hard show to keep track of unless you know the history of the warehouse and the players.
SyFy.com has the last 5 episodes on their side and they add new ones on Wednesday after the show airs on Tuesday. I wish they’d at least have the very 1st episode up there so people can tell how Myka and Pete got there and met Artie. Sometimes they’re out looking for an artifact or one of them, usually Pete or Claudia disturbs an artifact in the warehouse and strange things begin to happen.
It is a strange show but it’s right up my alley with the quirkiness but I think my favorite show is still Eureka and so happy that the new season starts tonight.
I can tell when you’re feeling better, you really kick butt on Family Feud on FB. You’re helping me win the $5000 quite often also.
DH is from Kansas City, Missouri and Monday is a new show on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. They’re doing Kansas City BBQ which Don says is the best. He hates what they call BBQ here in Alabama. Says it all tastes like Heinz 57 steak sauce. I never knew until he told me that there’s tomato based and molasis based BBQ sauce. KC BBQ sauce is molassis based. It’s not unusual to see him carry a bottle of KC Masterpiece into a BBQ joint when we go there for dinner.
Last time we went out for BBQ was an invite by one of our Senators. She had all her volunteers and friends join her to watch the primary results. That bottle of KC Masterpiece made the rounds of most of the patrons there.
I agree. I posted that I sent my husband an e-card last year for his birthday because I was too sick to drive and go out. He’s always the one saying "it’s just another day" and won’t let me make him a special dinner or anything yet he got upset when I was too sick to get him a card. I did tell him happy birthday the moment I got up but that wasn’t enough. He’s the same way about Father’s Day. He got divorced when his daughter was 5 and she was always with him for the summer for his birthday and over Christmas but since she’s gotten older she forgets birthdays, Christmas and Father’s Day. She lives in Sweden and he realizes they celebrate Father’s Day in November but she doesn’t even acknowledge it them. She’s on Facebook constantly and everyone is wishing everyone else Happy Father’s Day but she can’t get the hint. He’d be happy with an e-card from her.
I also agree that people that don’t like to fuss over ANY holiday are ruining it for those of us that do.
DH is very giving to me on my birthday. I remember his mother died on my birthday and all day he sat by the phone and waited for the call. It was a death watch with her in Idaho and us in Alabama. After he got the call he still went out and bought me a birthday gift and card and had it waiting for me when I got home from work. He planned on taking me out for a nice dinner but asked if I’d mind if his sister and her family tagged along since he wanted to spend time with her. How could I say no, I felt embarassed that anyone even acknowledged my birthday that year BUT if I try to do for him he gets upset. I LOVE doing for him and wanting to make him feel special. He had an abusive father and said he ruined any enjoyment for the holidays or birthdays for him. His ex-wife kicked him out on Valentine’s Day. I feel like I’m banging my head against a brick wall trying to show him that holidays can be happy. The Valentine’s Day before we got married (got married in March) I lived in Chicago and he lived in Alabama but he was going to move to Chicago after the wedding. I sent him a card with my house key inside and told him this was one house he won’t get kicked out of.
Go figure, can’t make him happy by making a fuss and can’t make him happy if you don’t.
I’m a couple of days behind in my viewing so I saw the beach scene today. I couldn’t believe that body on someone so young. Someone mentioned (I think on another thread or it was deleted) that he might have had implants. If it was only his pecs I’d say most likely but with those 6 pack abs and those arms, shoulders and back I think it’s all real from him working out.
I had a similar situation in reverse. I was sick and time got away from me last year and I didn’t get my husband a birthday card or gift. In my defense I was sleeping 16-18 hours a day for over a week (found out I was diabetic and glucose was over 400) but he was really hurt. No matter how much I apologized and cried that I was sorry he wouldn’t let me forget that I forgot and didn’t care. I did send him an e-card but it was too late and the damage was done.
I can understand you’re being hurt but as someone who does put things off until "later" and then time gets away from me I also know how he might have forgotten or neglected to get things done sooner.
His birthday is this Sunday and I’ve got a broken foot and can’t drive so I’m unable to get out and get him a card again this year. Hopefully he’ll be making a trip to the store in the next couple of days and I can tag along and get him one. I already got and gave him his gift.
Carly came to Salem to hide from Lawrence and the wedding. That’s why she changed her name to Carly Manning rather than go by Katerina Von Leuschner. When Lawrence came to Salem I guess he’d never seen Carly or didn’t remember her and Jennifer pretended to be her to keep Lawrence away.
I’m with you on shopping being a chore and a pain. I use to be able to hit the malls when they opened and not leave until they closed. Now if I have to go to a store that’s only in the mall I’ll call and ask what entrance they’re near so I can run in and out. I much prefer strip malls for that reason.
The last time I went to the mall was a couple of days before my stepdaughter’s wedding in November. I took her to look for a dress (it was an impromptu wedding with 4 days preparation). I took the 5 year old granddaughter to get her some shoes then sat in the mall with her dancing around in her new shoes waiting for mom and dad to come back. Before that I think it had been 4 years since I’d been there and I’ve only been there 4 times in the 7 years I’ve lived here.
Caroline has always been very judgemental and outspoken which is one of the things I love about her but also one of the things that bugs me.
Never saw either one of those. I do like Antiques Roadshow though.
How about History Detectives. That’s good where someone has a relec or artifact from history, could be recent or way back and they want to find out if it’s real or the trues story behind it. There’s a few antique appraiser and historians who do the investigating and they take you all over until they have the truth or run out of options to go further.
Maybe Carly will finally be arrested for and convicted of killing Lawrence and we can be rid of her. Then they can throw Vivian in prison and they could be cell mates.
I’m a lover of shows with quirky characters and so happy that most are finally starting their new season. Royal Pains on USA, Warehouse 13 and Eureka on SciFi or is it now SyFy. There’s also a new show called Rookie Blue on ABC that’s not quirky but more of a Greys Anatomy meets Police Force. I’ve only seen 2 episodes so far and the jury’s still out on it but so far it’s OK. Lie to Me and The Menatlist are decent in my book. Then we watch Entourage on HBO which is a bit raunchy but the characters can be funny. We just started watching Wipeout which to me isn’t that great but fills in a void between other shows. There are 2 hosts and one of them is too irritating.
We like some of the shows on Food Network; Ace of Cakes, Good Eats, Unwrapped and Diners Drive-ins and Dives but they show too many reruns during the week I can’t always remember when the show is really on for new episodes.
On HGTV I like Holmes on Homes. I think I really enjoy seeing how these contractors messed up and the extent Mike has to go to fix it.
Has anybode seen Billy the Exterminator on A&E. He’s an exterminator in Louisianna and some of the things he’s called to get rid of. Alagators, Nutura, Beavers, Bats, Snakes then there’s always bees and wasps which his brother who works with him is allergic to. Also on A&E is Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Gene is a hoot.
