Is the process the same for small court judges in a small town setting?
DeeLanParticipantI think the other actress who played Arianna came across as tougher and would have done a better job up against Nicole.
DeeLanParticipantHow many couples on that show have had a public split or fight? I look at any reality show as part reality part fiction and they are all playing parts. It’s all drama for the ratings, they get together on the show then split afterwords but it still keeps the show in the news until next season and far beyond.
DeeLanParticipantThe only thing I remember about April, she was annoying.
DeeLanParticipantI can’t believe Bart and Rolf are so far down on the list. Hope Howie makes it closer to the top, his character was great.

It’s a shame they can’t plug both shows since it wouldn’t take much to at least get a mention of Days in there someplace. I’m sure if it was All My Children it would have gotten a plug.
DeeLanParticipantThat’s because he’s either father or former lover of most of them.
DeeLanParticipantCarrie – When she moved out on her own and Austin was living down the hall from her was portrayed by Tracy Middendorf for a short time then Christy Clark came back
Austin – Started out with Patrick Muldoon playing him
Jan Spears
Stephanie Johnson
Marie Horton – Portrayed by Lanna Saunders for a short while when she came back in full nun habit and it was discovered that Jessica was her daughter Was also portrayed by another actress for a short time between Maree Cheatham and Lanna
Julie – Teenage Julie
Kate – Started out by Deborah Adair
Brady – Several actors
Arianna – 2 different actresses
Kimberly – Was replaced for a while then Patsy came back
Lexie has been played by several actresses before Renee Jones
Jack Devareauz -Several actors including Mark Valley and Steve Wilder but Matthew Ashford will always be Jack to me
Kayla – was played by a different actress when she was first introduced
Shawn Brady (Grandpa Brady)
Someone mentined that Josh Taylor is now Roman but use to be Chris Kositcheck. How about Wayne Northrop returning as Alex Marshall.
I can handle the change in actors if they keep the character consistent as they did with Grandpa Brady, it’s when they change the character’s personality completely with the actor change that I have a problem. When Mickey was played by John Ingle his character was NOT the Mickey Horton everybody loved. Same with Carrie, when she was played by Tracy Middendorf she was conniving and did anything she could to get Austin’s attention. Belle, when they changed actors she wasn’t sweet innocent, "I’ll be friends with anybody and I won’t lie" Belle and I never really got into the last actress. Stephanie Johnson to me was more independent and straightforward and likeable as the redheaded racecar driver.
Other characters when they change the actor I don’t notice at all but it could be that I’m not as invested in the character that much.
DeeLanParticipantAt the time of Shawn’s funeral I thought they were talking about Phillip in California. No mention of what happened to that relationship at all.
DeeLanParticipantIf it’s the rushed up storyline why isn’t anyone else having trouble with them? I was thinking the other day that years ago the acting and dialogue was more dramatic and less conversational between people. It was always "on the edge of your seat" wondering what was going to happen, what they were going to say and how they would react. It’s gotten more relaxed now. When Kim and Shane were first on she wasn’t as annoying because everyone was over the top or dramatic but now but where the othere’s have evolved, maybe from continuous acting and doing other things Kim is stuck in that mode. Another thing with the last 2 times she’s returned to Salem, she’s been written as angry and very judgemental not soft like Kim use to be. When Shawn died she was angry with Victor and very outspoken. This time she’s angry with Shane and very judgemental of Bo’s relationship with Carly and isn’t afraid to tell him what she thinks
Of course this is just my opinion and usually it’s not worth much.
DeeLanParticipantPocket’s mother was the surrogate that Shawn and Mimi hired to carry their baby. There was a mix-up (the gloved hand at work) and Shawn & Mimi’s embryo was implanted in Belle and Phillip & Belle’s embryo was implanted in the surrogate Mimi & Shawn hired. Belle miscarried, Shawn & Mimi split up then Phillip and Belle split. Phillip & Mimi decided they didn’t want the baby and told the surrogate to end the pregnancy but Bonnie (Mimi’s mother) had other plans and paid her to carry the baby to term. She planned to somehow use the baby to get money out of the Kiriakas’s.
DeeLanParticipantCal was a nut and seemed to stalk Kimberly. If I remember he kidnapped her twice, the second time he took Kayla also.
DeeLanParticipantKimberly was a prostitute but when she slept with Victor she was in love with Shane. She was helping him in his investigation of Victor whom Kimberly was a friend of and when Shane was in danger Kimberly slept with Victor to save Shane’s life.
When Kimberly left it was with Phillip Collier (sp) and as far as I remember it’s never been discussed until now that her and Shane had gotten back together since then.
I know I’d read an article that the head writer wasn’t happy with the way Shane and Kimberly ended and when they were planning the memorial for Alice she went to the Executive Producer and asked if Shane and Kimberly could be brought back so they could have the happy ending they deserved. With that I’m guessing they’ve written a little off camera history or are hoping that the viewers won’t remember that they’d separated in 92 or 93.
DeeLanParticipantI guess it depends on how prepared they were when Tom died. When my brother died my dad picked out his grave site and my mom got mad that he didn’t get 3 more, one for each of them and 1 for me. I was only 20 and didn’t want to think about me needing a grave at that point. When my dad died I had to get a site in the next section since there were none by my brother but I did get 2 at that time. When my mom died 4 years later I just told the funeral director to pull my dad’s records and duplicate everything and went to the monument place and told them the same thing and gave them my moms dates. But they were both 74 and when dad died I was more prepared and able to think straight about not wanting to do all of it again when mom passed.
My aunt and uncle not only had their grave sites picked out but their headstones were already in place with their names and birthdates. They just had to have the date of death inserted when the time came. My mom always commented on how she felt that was terrible and didn’t want to see her name on a headstone everytime she went to the cemetery.
DeeLanParticipantNick is Jessica’s son. Jessica is Marie’s daughter.
