In the late 70’s very early 80’s we had a rash of girls born where I worked and most of them were named Lauren.
When my cousin was making his confirmation he wanted Ringo for his confirmation name but soon discovered there wasn’t a St. Ringo so he settled on Paul.
My brother was 19 years older than I am, he was born in 1938. When my mom was expecting she promised Grandma she could name him. After he was born Grandma reminded Mom of her promise and she was reading a book with a boy and girl, the boy’s name was Elmont. Glad to say that ended up being his middle name.
Seems like they’ve been doing more memorial services. If I remember it was an off screen funeral for Mickey and a memorial type of gathering at the house.
I wonder when Carrie comes back if they’ll be bringing their baby with them or leave it with a babysitter.

When the show first aired there was the Horton front porch where Marie and others would go outside
Bo & Hope’s backyard
The dinky beach where Belle and Shawn ran into Marlena & John getting frisky
Again when the show was young I remember a park with a swing that Susan was sitting on talking or thinking about Scotty and Julie
The Chandler mansion
Aparently Brady is at the table where Baker plays poker. Baker drugs him to make it appear he’s drunk. It must be something he’s doing for Nicole.
I remember YEARS ago the must not have filmed as far in advance as they do now or it might even have been filmed the day it aired because every once in a while there’d be mention of something that just happened in the news. That really made it more like the real world.
I too am looking forward to Alice’s funeral. We know that Frances has passed away but this will bring closure to an era and I’m looking forward to the flashbacks and memories this will hopefully bring. I just hope they keep things focused on Alice and not keep interjecting the show(s) with scenes of other happenings around Salem like EJ and Arianna, Nicole and Doc Baker.
Doc Baker will start to have feelings for Nitetime Hope
Nitetime Hope plans to kill Bo
Daytime Hope will be under more stress learning that Alice not expected to survive and contemplates stopping the sleeping pills
Chloe agrees to Viv’s plan to lure Carly into the elevator of death but changes her mind at the last minute and tries to save Carly
Jennifer comes to town to see Alice and is very upset about Bo and Hope’s separation and hopes they get back together
Kayla comes back to Salem to see Alice
Stephanie confides in Adrienne about stopping her birth control but she just found out Nathan’s feelings on being a dad at this time. Adrienne suggests the morning after pill which Stephanie gets and Nathan finds them
And of course we all know…….Shane and Rafe break out of jail
They use Chez Rouge on occassion for the dress up dinners.
The jail cell, interrogation room or wherever it is that visitors and prisoners meet, the jail that Rafe and Shane are it (it may be the Salem jail cell)

They must have gotten rid of Abe & Lexie’s living room since we haven’t seen that for a while. If the Horton Cabin’s still there I’m sure they kept the outdoor shower also. Once in a while there’s the room at the Green Mountain Lodge or wherever it is that people go to get away.
I’m sure some of the sets are reused as different locations with a quick change of a photograph, furniture or camera angle.
Yeah but how many times on a soap does a groom surprise the bride with a surprise wedding complete with gown.
I remember it happening a couple of times on Another World and it’s happened before on Days with the most recent being Bo and Hope when they renewed their vows.
When I got married my husband planned the wedding. Of course it was small, in his sister’s house in Alabama and I lived in Chicago. He just had to tell me what day to be here and he did the rest.
I do need to add this was a second marriage for both of us and we both had the big wedding the first time around and wanted something small and quiet. After the ceremony we changed clothes and had a BBQ. We’d discussed doing that but he planned the menu and bought all the food for his sister to fix. It was also his nephew’s 15th birthday so we had a cake for us and a cake for him.
