As it was with Mickey, Laura and Bill. The viewers all knew Bill was really Mike’s son. It was just not a front burner storyline for years, just lurking in the background with a few characters in the know. Bill, Laura and Tom. Then when Mike was a teen the truth came out.
They could go back to the "Old" Days and do this like Bill, Laura, Mickey and Mike. Daniel and Chloe get married, the baby’s born and only a couple of people know it’s really Phillips. Everyone stays quiet and happy until years from now the truth comes out. BUT for that to work they’ve got to quit cramming it down our throats every other scene.
Have you ever been to Mt. Rushmore at night for their presentation. I sat there with a bunch of people I don’t know crying like a baby.
It’s dark and you can’t see Mt. Rushmore but the park ranger is talking and they dedicate the presentation to the men and women who serve our country. I can’t remember if they play God Bless America, America the Beautiful or The Star Spangled Banner (it was 10 years ago that I was there) but slowly Mt. Rushmore lights up until at the end it’s fully visible. Very emotional.
I loved when they were all seated and Victor asked why they were all still there. Phillip said "I heard there’s cake" or something similar. Even Melanie when Bo went to talk to her about how much it meant to him that she’s there for his brother and she said "you’re just trying to get into my mother".
Isn’t it usually Wimbleton and then the Olympics. Seems like everything preempts Days, even the Thanksgiving and Rose Parades.
I’d seen a "rumor" a few weeks ago that she didn’t want to do the show anymore. There are too many loose ends like who are the Shadows and what do they want with Adien. Who are the Shineys.
I thought a couple of years ago when they introduced the Book of Changes and the Watchers it was beginning to look more like Charmed every episode. Then before Aiden was born she was told he was going to be more powerful just like Wyatt in Charmed.
On the other hand, Medium is turning into Ghost Whisperer where Allison and her daughter are being visited by ghosts in most episodes.
I think Crystal is better off not winning. Idol tends to push the POP songs and that’s not what Crystal does. By not winning she’s free a lot sooner to do her own music her own way. Either one would have a career by coming in 2nd, even 3rd but I do think the winner is locked into Idol for a longer period of time and that’s why we don’t hear from too many of the winners past their first single. The exceptions are Carrie who for some reason was allowed to pursue the country music genre and Kelli.
I’d read an article the other day where someone was speculating on why Bo Bice didn’t make it farther than he is. Yea, he came in second but he was "forced" to record a pop song for his first single then when he started touring he had some health issues and was forced to stop touring for a while which is when he needed to be out there furthering his career.
You are right, David Cook wasn’t there last night. I figured he might have been touring and couldn’t break free but they could have at least had him via satellite saying something to Simon. I mean he was on earlier this year so we know he’s still connected to Idol in some way. Clay, I’m not too surprised about with not being there. Didn’t he have some issues and broke himself free from Idol a year or so after the second season ended. They didn’t mention him for a long time on the show after that.
We have Dish Network and they don’t provide NBC in our area so we have to pay extra for it through All American Direct. We get it just so I can watch Days. We had trouble with All American Direct when they charged us too much this year and I called 10 minutes later and they said they’d credit the over charge. A month later they deducted the entire amount from our account and I called to say I want the money back. They refused saying they put it on our account as a credit for next year. I wanted to cancel figuring I’d watch Days on Soapnet but they wanted to charge me a $25 cancellation fee for something we never signed a contract on.
I was planning on watching Soapnet next year after we get rid of NBC. I don’t like sitting at my computer watching a TV show, especially every day but if I have to I will.
It’s out there if Chloe ends up pregnant by Phillip. Chloe was told she couldn’t get pregnant and Phillip had problems in being a daddy when he and Belle were married, that’s why they went the surrogate route.
Maybe for once someone who thinks they CAN get pregnant and is trying (Stephanie) won’t be able to. I mean, how many couples try for years unsuccessfully before finally succeeding.
I’m wondering if the actors learning their lines and their interaction with certain characters for that day are keeping up with what’s happening on the show as a whole. They might think something is out of character for who they’re playing but not seeing it after it’s edited as we are they’re not seeing the entire picture and might not even realize something’s totally off until they read it on the boards.
Dial Idol which goes by busy signal percentages has Lee the winner. I guess we’ll find out tonight if they’re right.
I have mixed feelings on this. I think Crystal is the best performer and was consistent every week but I hope Lee wins.He has improved greatly but was really beaten down by the judges many times in the beginning. You can tell the last few weeks he really wants this and actually believes he might have a chance where I think he was surprised he got as far as he did in the beginning thinking every week he’d be voted off.
Do they think we all have dementia and can’t remember what happened from day to day and each time we see the scene it’s as if it were the first. That might also explain how they have no problem changing history so often.
I about choked when she said she kept one secret from Daniel and she’s not going to hurt him by keeping another. IT ISN’T HER SECRET TO KEEP OR TELL. How is HER not saying anything keeping a secret from him and hurting him. If he gets hurt by Chloe not telling him HER secret then it’s between Daniel and Chloe and no one else.
