I still don’t see how the FBI could have ordered Rafe to arrest John without Rafe’s superiors at the SPD knowing anything about it.
I think Salem accepts anyone from any state or country to practice law. Remember EJ was suddenly revealed to be a lawyer and practicing. When did he take and pass the bar in Salem much less any state in the country. We also don’t really know where Carrie and Austin have been living. We’re assuming it was Switzerland since that’s where we last heard but it sounds like it’s been someplace in the U.S. since Austin has been working with the FBI.
I also read that Austin will become suspicious of the FBI so not sure where that’s leading.
I think he’s going to be more like Victor, especially after the comment to Nicole that they both see each other the way they really are but can change the way the public sees them. So, he’ll be more upstanding as far as the citizens see him but the same old EJ inside.

I find it unsettling that they suddenly made Sami older than Carrie when Carrie was born before Roman and Marlena even knew each other.
Spleenectomy in 1978 – full incision
Ovarian tumor removed in 1982 – bikini cut full incision
Gall bladder removed 2000 – laproscopic
Hysterectomy 2011 – attempted laproscopic but ended up full incision in the same place as the bikini cut due to weird anatomy, blood vessels where they shouldn’t have been and scar tissue adhering one ovary to the colon, kidney and ureter. Needless to say they left that ovary.
I’ve only had the pain once without taking any opiates before hand. I was afraid of taking too much Hydrocodone or too often due to the pain but the 1/2 twice a day wasn’t cutting it and the ibuprofen between wasn’t doing much. I’ve been taking a full Hydrocodone 3 times a day now with 1/2 Flexeril and so far no problems. I know a surgeon friend of mine in Chicago said you can have gallstones stuck in the ducts for years after a gall bladder removal and not know it. He had a woman who was having pain and they found a stone 21 years later.
I’m glad you’re on the mend and hope the pain lessens for you each day.
I figured Austin and Carrie were back in the U.S. but we never heard about it. I’m going that way because of Austin working on this case as well as Carrie being a defense attorney and Abe suddenly wanting her to be a prosecutor. Wouldn’t she have to pass the bar in the area she lived in.
I read that John’s law team deserts him and Carrie offers to defend him. Now I know why it was important that they had to keep pointing out that she’s a defense attorney. This will put a strain on Carrie and Austin since she’s defending John and Austin could be called to testify against him.
His telling the story to Adrienne happened off camera. I guess we won’t hear his explanation until he talks to Jennifer.
If I remember when Austin first came to Salem he was much older than Carrie. He was an adult living on his own and she was either still in high school or just out and had a school girl crush on him. I think he was suppose to be the oldest of Austin & Billie.
I could see the FBI being involved and not the SPD since it isn’t a local matter but Rafe isn’t FBI anymore so no idea why they contacted him in the first place.
I agree. The new writers can’t just change every character overnight or we won’t recognize the show or our beloved characters at all.
I see this party and it’s going on so long as a bridge between the old and new We ended old stories with hints toward new ones such as EJ’s big secret before the party and we’re seeing the beginnings of new storylines such as the secret bank account of Alice’s, John’s arrest, Jack coming back and EJ’s run for mayor during the party. Next we’ll see these new storylines develop and then we’ll see if Corday kept his promise and if the new writers are any better than the old. I’m holding out to see what happens after the party ends before I make a judgement on the new writing but it won’t be the next day or even the next week. I’m going to see one storyline thorough to the end to see how they handle it and if it drags on forever.
So far I’m enjoying the interaction between the characters and I think some how John and Alice’s storylines might be connected.
