She fell as she started back up the steps in front of the judges.  She had gone off the stage and danced behind them and when she came back to the steps it looked like her shoe slid on the floor as she sort of went back and ended up on her knee.  I think I blinked when she actually went down so rewound and watched it again.  I know the music stopped for a second and she picked herself up and started singing again. I guve her credit for continuing after what had to be painful when it happened as well as embarassing.  I’m sure it was hard on her dad not to run down to see if she was OK.

I agree that I was least impressed with Haley last night but the judges can’t fault any of them on song choice.  Only one was picked by the contestant and the other 2 were by the judges and Jimmy Iovine.  I think Jimmy’s choice for all 3 was excellent and couldn’t figure out WHY they picked She Believes in Me for Scotty.  Don’t get me wrong, he did a good job but that song isnt’ for someone with his deep voice.  He would have been better off with a Randy Travis or even a Garth song.  I’m hoping for a Scotty / Lauren finale with Scotty as winner.

Saw one tonight for Kraft Mac & Cheese that made me laugh.  A cops in front of a classroom of younger grade schoolers.  A kid asks what happens if someone steals from you and keeps stealing from you.  The cop says he goes away for a long time.  Next scene a dad is taking a bite of mac & cheese of the kids plate and the lights are flashing all around outside.  The dad looks at the kid and the kid just has this grin on his face.

Of course after they show it 100 times in the next 2 days I’ll be tired of it.

I think Rafe is going to let the DiMera’s think he’s R2.  They’ll probably get enough information out of the thug to pull it off plus Rafe is better undercover and can act the part when he wants.  Also think they’ll be working with Roman on this.   I’m sure he’s going to be getting an earful about the goings on in the DiMera business.  If it does happen this way I just hope Sami doesn’t do something spontaneous and Sami like to blow it.

Actually Vivian didn’t know who the DNA results belonged to so she felt she had nothing and that’s why she threw them away.  Nicole dug it out.  She had the brains to have them compared to something else that belonged to Rafe and that’s how she found out.  Can’t remember if she suspected it was Rafe before she got the results but she knew something was up with the way he’s been acting and the "friendship" that EJ and Rafe have suddenly developed.  Plus Rafe had been at the DiMera mansion to talk to EJ a few times which was VERY unusual.

Having been the wife of a man who wanted someone else I can understand and I applaud Nicole.  I too wanted revenge and I got it.

My ex was 27 and carrying on with a 16 year old high school student on a student work program where he worked.  I should mention he was also her supervisor.  I found all the little notes she wrote to him about telling her parents she had to work later to spend time with him.  Sneaking him into her bedroom when her family was asleep.   I made copies of all the juicy notes and wrote a letter to her parents.  2 days after I mailed the letter I called him over to give him his copy.  I could have reported him to his employer and gotten him fired but I felt I’d let her parents deal with him in any way they saw fit.

The funniest commercial I saw was years ago and I only saw it once.  Two young boys are sitting on a bed counting their money and saying what they’re going to buy with it   One has the typical boy items but the other wants to buy tampons because then he can go swimming and horseback riding.

Isn’t that what happened the last time.  Jack was sick and was in a hosptial where he found Patch.  He finally comes back to Salem on Jennifer and Frankie’s wedding day.

Nicole was starting to fall in love with EJ again.  She saw EJ and Taylor kissing and it was after that that EJ told her he wanted a divorce and would allow her access to the kids.  This was after she had the evidence that it was Rafe in the basement jail so she’s been blackmailing him that they’re going to be a happy couple for the public.  She’s giving him a taste of what he put her through with making her give up Brady but at the same time she’s tormenting her sister by telling her how happy her and EJ are and forcing EJ to tell her they’re going on their honeymoon.  She knows EJ can’t tell Taylor why he’s not leaving Nicole.  She’s out for revenge and really enjoying sticking it to both of them.

If I’m not mistaken Medicare will pay no matter what doc you go to.  The difference between a doc that accepts Medicare and one who doesn’t is the difference and what you end up paying.

If  a bill is $400 and Medicare only approves $200 then they pay the doc $160 and you owe $40.  Plus the doc has to bill Medicare.  If the doc doesn’t accept Medicare then Medicare still pays the doc $160 but you’re responsible for the $40 + the $200 that Medicare didn’t approve.

Don and I are both On SS and have Humana.  We get up to $290 a year toward glasses.  I go to an opthamologist near my house due to having glaucoma and he gave me a new script in January.  Went to the optical shop in the town we use to live in (25 miles) He’s in our insurance and I called to see what it would cost for progressive, transition lenses with anti-reflective coating.  $245.  I was keeping my old frames since I LOVE them. Before I picked up my glasses I get the EOB from the insurance.  He billed them over $300.  There were charges for $100 for frames and the lenses and coatings were way over what he quoted me.  When I picked them up I couldn’t see and he kept telling me I needed to get use to them.  I’ve had progressives for 10-15 years   I went to my doc and he checked the lenses and they were no where near the prescription he wrote.  Go back to the optical shop and he blames my doc but agrees to re-do the lenses and proceeds to tell me I’m costing him money.  That’s when I pulled out the EOB and told him he got more than he was entitled so he’s doing OK.  Pick those up and still can’t see.  Back to eye doc and the script still doesn’t match what’s written PLUS the seg height which is the distance from the bottom of the lens to the center where I’m suppose to look through for distance is not right.  If the glasses are sideways on my face I can see distance fine but can’t read or drive with them normally.  He wants to fix them again and I tell him NO, refund the money to the insurance or I’m reporting you for insurance fraud.

Called everyplace in the area and found a few that accept my insurance.  One place accepts it but only at their location in Georgia, I’m in Alabama.  Go to another place and the difference between insurance and cost should be $20.  They tell me I owe $52.  I have to pay sales tax on the entire bill.  I’ve NEVER paid sales tax on prescription eyeglasses before.  They tell me the insurance company charges them sales tax.  I know that’s a lie.  Walk out and call insurance company and it is a lie.  Finally found someone in the insurance that doesn’t charge sales tax and suppose to have my glasses this week.  Just hope I can see out of them.

I think 10-15 core characters that are the meat of the storylines with the extras.  We don’t need Dario coming in for what, a love interest.  We don’t need him or at least we don’t need him to be a core character.  We really didn’t need Mel when she came to Salem and now she’s one of the main characters in storylines  Taylor, NOPE  Even Abby is not needed at this time except to be part of the teen storyline this summer.  We’ve got a Kiriakas teen coming to Salem to let us or Will know he’s gay.

They do need extras and non contract actors but once a storyline you brought them in for is over push them to the background and stop shoving them down our throats.

YES.  I knew Joe’s old partner (Michael T. Weiss) was the one that killed him.  I loved Tom Selleck when he asked which one killed his son.

Donnie Wahlberg is often on Twitter when the show is airing and his commentary is often amusing and insightful as to what was going on when a certain scene was filmed.  He’s said this is his favorite gig so far as he loves the show, the acting and the cast.  The family dinner scenes are his favorite.

Don had a question last night when they were at the cemetery.  Do they scour cemeteries looking for headstones to match the names of the characters or do the headstones determine the names of the characters they use?  I don’t think it’s either of those but not quite sure now it’s done.

Right. He came back and Jennifer was already involved with Peter but Jack was constantly trying to break them up.  Then came Peter’s trying to gaslight and Jack involved in that one also  I remember them all living in the same house, Jack, Jennifer and Laura even though Jack and Jennifer weren’t together anymore.

What stood out when reading this was the number of characters and number of cuts to various storylines per episode.  Those are interrelated and how the writing is involved is a vicious circle.  In having so many characters to write for they need multiple storylines and it’s hard to come up with so many so the ones they have are lacking.  The writers aren’t really invested in all these characters and writing so many storylines at once means many of them are lacking in substance or get repetative.

Narrowing it down to less characters with less storylines would mean each one gets the attention they deserve and the time to get interesting.  There’s so many places they could go with Victor and Maggie but in a rush they turn to their old standby’s.  Oh, they started out strong but just wait, they’ll peter out and theyll go the same route as multiple other couples in the past. Same with Sami.  Rather than focusing on her growth through the years it’s easier to keep her stunted but put her in many of the same situations over and over.  Why must Stefano’s storylines always involve mind control?  Because they don’t have the time or interest to go further with him

We don’t watch the show during the current seasons but watch the reruns  when they’re on before the primetime viewing begins.  The show is funny but what makes if good is the dynamic between Charlie and his brother Alan and their mother.  Jake was cute when he was younger but not so much as he gets older.  The same lines don’t work wth a teen.  I know Valerie went on to become The Hogans when Valerie Harper left after the first season and was successful but even though the show was named after her she wasn’t the center of it, the kids were.   8 Simple Rules continued after John Ritter died but  even though John Ritter was suppose to be the star, the daughters were really the center of the show.  In Two and a Half Men there is no star.  The core of the show is the relationship between Charlie, Alan and Jake with Evelyn and Berta thrown in.  I hope they can bring in someone that can fill the void in that relationship but I have my doubts.
