If Sami’s not ready for a padded cell and straight jacket when the truth comes out they’re really doing her character an injustice.  But knowing the writers the fact that she was violated will be sweapt under the rug once again.

Her real name is Katerina Von Leuschner (sp) but when she first came to Salem she’d taken the name of Carly Manning I think to hide her real identity and stop her family and/or Lawrence from finding her.

What I don’t understand though.  When she first came her and Jennifer had been in boarding school together and she’d said her and Lawrence’s engagement was an arranged marriage by their parents.  Jennifer pretended to be Carly to fool Lawrence who found out the truth and kidnapped Jennifer.  Later it was revealed that Nicholas was her sone with Lawrence but if she’d had a son with him than why did she think he’d be fooled by Jennifer pretending to be her?

Taylor to me was an entertainer and there are those that really like his type of music.  He was cut by his record company and all his recordings now are by his own company.  He does shows and draws a crowd and he’s doing what he wanted to do. 

Don and I were talking about the past idol contestants last night.  Except for Carrie who’s won awards we don’t hear too much from the other winners but the ones that came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th seem to be doing better and that might be due to the fact they aren’t tied to idol as long and can start to focus on their careers the way they want.  Idol is what these contestants need which is to get out there and get noticed but I think losing is better in the long run and the good ones don’t need to win to make it big.  Look at Jennifer Hudson and Daughtry. 

Vote for the Worst says this isn’t a talent competition and tries to prove it by encouraging people to vote for the worst contestant.  Right now they’ve picked Paul.   I remember the year they had Sanjya up there as worst and look how long he stayed on.  I often wonder if there aren’t people actually following that site and voting for the worst and they’re getting a lot of mileage with their tactics until the contestant numbers get low and the votes of the true fans actually outnumber VFTW and make a difference in getting them kicked off.  Of course then they just pick another worst and push that one.

I HATED his performance.  I felt he ruined a great song.  

When I first heard Lauren talk she reminded me of Kelli Pickler.  I’d read when Kelli was on that her innocence was an act and she wasn’t at all like the person she was portraying.  At least that’s what her old high school friends were saying.  Lauren seemed to me like she was trying to be the same but then I saw a video and people she knew were on and saying she’s exactly like that and I don’t know if they’re just friends trying to help or she really is that dumb in real life.  I have warmed up to her and do like her singing now though.

The 3 I want to go home are Paul, Jacob and Pia.  I know everybody likes Pia and she’s got a good voice but it seems the judges are pimping her a bit and she knows it.  She’s got a look that says attitude and that turns me off.  Jacob is another one that’s got a good voice but he’s a bit over the top and I can see standing by your conviction but he’s a bit rediculous with it.  I’m a Christian and I know people who are very fundamentalist but he’s a bit over the top.  Every song he sings sounds like he’s in a large church choir and that’s not pop music which is what American Idol is all about.  Paul has GOT to go.  His voice grates on me and his dancing or lack or is hurtful to watch.  That song he sang last night sounded wrong coming form his voice and it’s not a song you smile and show your teeth throughout.  When they say to connect with the song they mean emotionally and how can you sing that song and be upbeat and smiling. 

The only thing I had against Jacob was his little speach on the video about how if he’s in the bottom 3 or if he’s voted off it’s not because he didn’t do good it’s because America refuses to look in the mirror and see themselves.   I thought that was a bit arrogant.

I’m sorry but I haven’t seen EJ pay for any misdeeds.  Sami has gone to prison and been on death row.  Yeah she was innocent at the time and has done a lot she’s gotten away with but being on death row is the ultimate payment.  Hope went to prison and was almost killed by a corrupt warden.  Even Nicole went to prison for a short time BUT to say EJ has paid even partially for his misdeeds is wrong.  He was shot because of his actions but he hasn’t paid anything and even though he’s caught red handed he always seems to slip his way out of it the same as daddy does.
