I’ve noticed it from other posters and this morning it seemed to be stuck processing my post so I X’d out and posted again. It got stuck processing the post again so I shut that window. When I went back later there was a double post.
I’d read that Carly turns to drugs and we’ll see the beginings on Monday when she injects herself with an anti-anxiety med that was meant for a patient. Hopefully Maggie will be there to sponsor and help her. I know she’s too old for Brady but it would be nice to see him actually be able to help her with this also.
I had a brother who was 19 when I was born. He was a teen in the 50’s and gay. Hearing from relatives about how he was treated at school and in every day life I too can’t believe someone would choose that type of lifestyle. I mean who would choose to be shunned and made fun of? Who in high school would choose to be teased and chased home on a daily basis and beat up occasionally I’m sure if had a choice he would have chosen to fit in. I do applaud my parents for not doing what most parents of gay children did back then which was to diswon and turn their backs on their own children. My mom looked for someone to blame for "turning" him gay and it wasn’t something that was talked about but they still loved him and were his parents until the day he died of a massive heart attack at age 39.
It’s now the 21st century and more acceptable and do think more and more in Hollywood are "coming out" just to be noticed because it’s the new trend or fad. Yes, there are those that are truely gay but I feel a lot of the women who admit to being gay are doing it for attention and publicity. Look at Madonna, Anne Heche. They were admittedly gay or bi then suddeny they’re in a hetrosexual relationship and madly in love. Rosie O’Donnell is pushing it down your throat and putting down hetrosexuals for their choices. One of the openly gay women I admire most is Ellen DeGeneres. She’s open about her relathinship but it’s not forced fed to us. She makes passing comments about Portia and they’re like any comments a person would make about their spouse. She makes little cracks about her lifestyle but she’s not on her soapbox doing it. She seems to respect her relationship with her partner (spouse) and doesn’t put it on display and use it for publicity.
I wouldn’t turn my TV off if there were a homosexual relationship on Days but I would protest if they did the stereotypical gay as portrayed in sitcoms. I loved Chris when he was on but he was a bit too flamboyant. I’m not sure if he’s like that IRL or if that’s his act and the character he plays in public but that behavior and flirtation does turn me off. I’ve known many gay people in my 53 years, starting with my brother and his friends. I dated 2 guys in high school who hadn’t come out yet and I can honestly say I’ve never met one who was flamboyant and in your face with their sexuality.

I had tears in my eyes when Randy stopped his singing because I knew what they were going to do. I’ve said for 2 years they don’t need to hear them sing again they already know if they’re going to save that person or not.

One of the reasons I like old movies (Doris Day/Rock Hudson and a bunch of others) is because you have the hint but a lot is left to your imagination. You see a couple give a look, a wink and you might see a shirt on a chair. You know what happened but you didn’t have to watch.
Having had a brother who was gay my only problem with TV is they do the stereotypical gay/lesbian and cram it down your throat. If it was done tastefully and not in the Will & Grace mold I’d be OK with it.
I dont’ remember who’s leaving first, Stephanie or Nathan but maybe she stalks him all the way to Johns Hopkins.
I think it’s tomorrow that Hope tells Bo that everything came to a head when Ciera was kidnapped and Ciera overhears. She later tells Theo that it’s her fault her parents split and if she leaves then they’ll be happy again.
I loved how Scotty countrified his song choice. As soon as he started I told my husband that I could see Glenn Campbell doing that and one of the first words out of Randy’s mouth was Glenn Campbell.
I think Scotty’s going to go places and even if he doesn’t win AI he’ll be the male Carrie Underwood with the awards he’ll win his first year.
Everyone was good tonight and even Paul was tolerable. I think it’s because he wasn’t dancing but his singing voice still gets on my nerves. Like chalk on a blackboard.
I was trying to figure that one out. Faye has met Rafe when he was looking for Nicole and Sydney so my thought’s are she meets R2 and notices differences and doens’t accept they’re caused by an accident. His friendhsip with Nicole would be a giveaway to me. She’s also aware of all that the DiMera’s are capable of so she might be the one with the Salem brain that day and actually put 2 + 2 together and get 4.
When he does leave where will that leave Chloe? Will she be homeless again as I can’t see Victor letting her continue staying there without Phillip unless Maggie tells him he should. We all know he’ll do anything for Maggie.
Look how they did with Sami and Eric. They were both gone for a while then Sami shows up as a teen/pre-teen and Austin’s still in Colorado until they’re out of high school. So far I think Bo’s the only one that’s had his kid from infancy to adult with the exception of the summer Shawn went to baseball camp and aged several years. I don’t count Hope in there since she was gone for a lot of his childhood.
