I know this is crazy trying to make sense of anything that pertains to DOOL but if the scar was done when he was in the hospital after the car accident wouldn’t it still be fresh and healing It would be painful and Sami would have noticed it’s not a scar but a fairly fresh wound.
I had a scar revision done and they didin’t cut all the way through the muscle, just removed the scar that was there to try to make it smaller and it’s still painful and takes time to heal and go from that fresh pink state to a normal color. Unless it’s a tattooo to look like a scar.
I know, trying to put some realism into something that’s not real.
DeeLanParticipantI’m loving that the judges are really supportive of them this year. If they mess up and ask to start again they let them and are a little more forgiving if they forget or mess up the lyrics. Actually how can they say it’s not professional to forget lyrics when Christina Agularia messed up the National Anthem at the Super Bowl.
DeeLanParticipantHe was in room 4 and did go through. I was happty to see that JC that 15 year old that was cut from his group went through and the guy with the white glasses that kicked him out didn’t make it.
DeeLanParticipantI agree with everything said and add to this. They’re keeping Rafe alive so he can give them details on things that they don’t know about and feed them to R2. How did they know about his scar? He got that when Sami was in the Safe House BEFORE EJ and Stefano knew about him so when did they have a chance to see his scar and know exactly where it was. It’s not like it’s something you’d talk about and show people in normal conversation and I don’t remember Rafe ever running around shirtless in front of the DiMera’s.
DeeLanParticipantI’m now wondering if this fiasco is the stress needed for Melanie to loose the baby.
DeeLanParticipantI think if an actor has been in a role for some time he gets to know that character and how they would act and do in any given circumstance so they should have some say with some things they’re asked to do. The writers, especially on a soap seem to have a revolving door and most probably don’t have the slightest insight into the character they’re writing for. That’s why we complain about the fast 180 some characters take. The actor should have some say in the character whether it’s actual dialogue, mannerisms or even SL’s.
DeeLanParticipantThe cut-off use to be 16 but they’ve lowered it to 15 this year. Simon had a problem with overweight women and has said as much. He didn’t like Mandessa when she was on because she was overweight. He’s made comments to other women also that they don’t fit the image. I also know he was on Jennifer Hudson for her weight.
Simon’s also made comments to the 16 and 17 year olds about their age saying they’re too young and aren’t old enough to have the experience required. A lot of times he criticizes their song choice as saying it’s too old for them. They’re the ones that give them the genre to sing and songs to choose from then complain that the music is too old for them. When you’ve got music of the 40’s or big band era the songs are going to be too old.
I’m hoping this year they’ll judge them on their performances and not on how they look or dress. I realize it’s "total package" but the outside can be changed but natural talent can’t be.
DeeLanParticipantAnd of course this has to happen just as EJ’s starting to trust and look like he has some feelings for Nicole. Just when she can start to see the dark cloud lessening this happens.
DeeLanParticipantHow many of the very good singers this year wouldn’t have made it past the auditions if Simon or Kara were still there. Kara was too critical of so many small things and Simon was against the young ones so there’s no way he would have let the 15 year olds go through and the ones that were slightly overweight he would have had negative comments about. For him it was not just a singing contest but also a beauty contest.
DeeLanParticipantI believe one person can feel that but very unlikely both will feel it at the same time.
DeeLanParticipantDon and I watched Nashville Star when it was on and the performers on there were 10 times better than most on AI. They allow duets and trios who are awesome. Another thing they do is the performers have to write and perform an original song. They get some help with that if needed but it has to be original.
Actually there have been some on AI that we do feel would go farther or be better on Nashville Star than they would on AI.
DeeLanParticipantCan’t say anything about leaving a baby alone as I can’t imagine ever doing that.
Once when newly married I was making homemade applesauce. I had to run to the store for a minute and forgot about the apples cooking on the stove. When I returned the house smelled so good but there was nothing left in the pan. Everything just boiled away leaving the pot shiny and clean looking inside.
DeeLanParticipantFrom what I understand Rafe 2 was first created when Rafe was searching for Anna. Stefano was going to replace him so Rafe would be no threat but nobody would know Rafe was gone. Since Rafe never found Anna he put that plan on hold. Now they’re using Rafe 2 to turn Sami against Rafe which EJ is happy about because there goes Sami’s "happily ever after" and Rafe 2 is going to back EJ on a lot of things and keep reminding the kids how great EJ is. I guess they’re going to use Rafe 2 in order to turn the kids against Sami.
DeeLanParticipantAgree. They could have had some cast and crew bring their little ones in as extras for a kid’s party
DeeLanParticipantThat reminds me of a sign I saw on someone’s door. "Property protected by Smith & Wesson"
