I just wanted to say thanks for all your opinions. I know I am not the only one who has had this happen, so it was good to hear how everyone else handles it. I did bring it up to my husband and tell him that he hurt my feelings and that just because he’s not good at something doesn’t mean he’s excused from trying. Marriage to both of us is constantly striving to grow and pursuing each other and trying to make each other happy. He understood and knew that he hurt me. I am confident he will do better next year and I have put it behind me. We have been married 6 years now, so I know we’re still learning what each other needs.
I truly treasure all my Days’ friends input and care, thanks again! EJ definitely has problems, but at least he has some remorse. Look at all Nicole has done and has no guilt at all, or at least doesn’t show it. Even if she doesn’t like Sami, she hurt Mia, Chad, Brady and many others in the baby scheme. Now she’s trying to send someone to prison who is completely innocent and done nothing to her except coming in between (in her eyes at least) her and her ideal man. Sick sick sick. I can’t wait for Brady to wake up and smell the Folger’s and finally tell her off for good.
I thought that Laura and Mickey were together at some point, I didn’t realize they were married before Mickey met Maggie, I just assumed it was an affair. So they didn’t have any children together? And Bill raped Laura and they ended up together? Kind of sounds like Sami & EJ.
If the video is all that Madeline had, I don’t understand why Kate was SO nervous about her. There was nothing to incriminate Kate, there has to be more, at least for it to make sense to me.
I find it quite funny that Laura was so hateful to Kate when I thought that she herself had an affair with Mickey (Bill’s brother!). Correct me if I’m wrong. But Maggie sure didn’t seem to hold such a grudge. The Laura character never did anything for me. Didn’t she sleep with Jack, too, her son-in-law?
There better be more coming with this. Kate seemed to be way more nervous about Madeline than Stephano, and that video didn’t give Kate any reason to worry. She’s not on it anywhere. I think I heard her voice, but her name was never mentioned (and who can convict on a voice?!). So there HAS to be more to this story.
Where has Night Hope been? I am guessing they are going to wait until after Alice’s passing to tie up this storyline. Bummer!
On a side note, how long has Arianna been held in jail w/o being arrained? Isn’t that against the Constitution?!
Maybe it’s because I never saw it back in the "day," as I’ve only been watching since about 1994, but I think the show has been better lately than I remember it being. I couldn’t stand it when Marlena was possessed or Stefano would kidnap her every other day, or with Kristen/Susan trying to fool John and keep Marlena/John apart. Seems like they drug storylines out a lot more back then, maybe just because I was younger and time went slower, but I remember thinking I could miss a whole week and not be confused. I don’t like this drama between Daniel and Chloe, I think it has been terribly written and not entertaining at all, but I’m liking the build up between Sami/EJ/Rafe and I’m really interested to see how the storyline between Night Hope, Dr Baker, Bo, Carly, Brady, Arianna, Nicole & EJ goes!
Yes, it was Sami’s fault for losing Rafe. She shouldn’t have let EJ move in after they got Sydney back. But the way EJ played with her emotions, I couldn’t imagine handling losing a child (Grace) and less than a year later getting a child back that was lost just to turn around and lose her again (and be told she was dead during that time!). What a roller coaster! I think any normal person would have a really difficult time processing all that, not to mention who to trust and depend on.
I haven’t heard Sami whine or complain about her losing Rafe being someone else’s fault if that’s what you’re meaning by that, have you?

I don’t think Sami is evil or a complete idiot, I think she’s just confused. Yes she seems to need a man in her life, but how many of us don’t?! She is insecure and makes a lot of mistakes, but it seems like she’s trying to be a good person and do what she thinks is right (even if that’s wrong more often!). I loved when Julie hugged her and told her that she had the love of the right man and she hoped that for Sami, too. I cried because that’s what Sami has always craved and I feel SO bad for her!I would definitely want to know if my significant other cheated and was lying to me. And I would have a hard time considering someone my friend who held back such information. I know many people say it’s not their place, but I don’t think it’s about being the morality police, it’s more about saving someone from further pain. What if, this couple got married and quickly conceived a child, then the affair was discovered? Now you’ve let this person and a child get into a terrible situation that could have been avoided.
I know it’s for the plot, but it’s really not necessary for all these threats of Carly, however. She just should have given Chloe 24 hours or so and if she didn’t fess up, then tell Daniel.
I think it’s very natural for a woman who is as seemingly as insecure with herself as Sami, to ‘rebound’ with any guy who gives her attention. She feels rejected by Rafe who she loves and she is around EJ 24/7. She obviously has had feelings for him before since they have Sydney. It’s never good to spend any amount of time with an ex that you don’t want to end up with, whether you’re in a committed relationship or not.
