I don’t think u lie about truly important things to someone u love. Because then u spend the rest of ur days worrying they will find out and then the truth will be more damning than if u had just spit it out in the first place. So I believe when u dont tell the truth "for the other persons sake" it is really for ur own benefit which is exactly the facts in ej’s case here. In this case his lie is keeping eric from his position and tarnishing erics image too.this isn’t just between him and Sami. It involves eric too and g e just doesnt care.
When she started dialing Hope’s number I was wishing Gabi would reach across the table and smack her a good one (pardons to all you board members who dislike the use of violence). I take exception to your first line that he truly does love Sami…you don’t lie to someone you “love” about something so important as what Kristen did to Eric, even it if it is your “family” member. It was a crime and a horribly offensive act. And you know and can help her brother but you won’t because it is your family. Bah…Kristen is a criminal and a sociopath and she needs help. But it’s OK for EJ to cover it up because it is his sister? Baloney.
I guess that Sami being Sami and EJ being EJ it is a true match made in heaven. But as far as I am concerned, if you cannot trust your “soulmate” then there is an issue there and you need to redefine “soulmate”. They are partners in crime and they will back each other up but I don’t think it is “love” in the truly conventional sense of the word. Sure, you might break up with someone using the excuse of your family but that is all it is, an excuse for something you know probably would not have worked anyway. And that is totally different than defending your family member who drugged and raped your “beloved’s” priest brother.
Of course, you could be like Sami and go the opposite direction. If your family hates him then marry him.
I don’t HATE EJ/Sami. they totally belong together. They deserve each other, you might say. But don’t ask me to label them a super couple because they aren’t. If EJ truly loved Sami he would admit what his sister did instead of lying to her about it. Do you know any real, good, solid relationships that are based on lies? Or one person’s acceptance of the other’s deceit? It catches up to you in the end.
As long as they both are happy lying to each other great, but when one of them becomes enraged over the other’s lies it will be the same old merry-go-round for these two. A sexual whirlwind where they fight and then hop into bed to get over it.LOL I don’t know about anyone else but when my husband and I fight the very last thing I feel like doing is hopping in the sack with him until we work things out. And if you talk to people that is more real than Sami and EJ’s belief that sex is the answer to every problem. But I do hope they stay together because they are perfectly suited to each other. Just don’t expect me to root for them as a couple because so far they haven’t done anything together that I really respect or like.
Oh and TFlo…I really hate the Jen/Dan pairing and all the nonsense they have been put through. Don’t presume that I like a couple just because they are goody- two shoes either.
in so far as he is capable of loving someone. He doesn’t have a clue what it means to be totally honest with someone. Just the fact that he won’t admit that he knows EXACTLY what Kristen did, even though he knows Sami knows the truth, proves that he still thinks his family is more important than his love for Samantha. And she can feel it. Now she just has to accept that she is never going to be truly #1 in his life and get on with things. But I agree with justwondering…this is NOT a timeless couple, in my book, because they don’t give themselves entirely to each other the way the true super couples have done in the past. Not to say that Sami is any great shakes in the relationship department but I think she has a better understanding of how things should go (whether she practices what she is preaching or not). IMHO.

And if Kate backed her up after what she did to Will then how could you not believe her? Silly story. But I do agree Kate and Sami have been very amusing in this.
was how dressed up she was for her little earring finding excursion especially when she got all upset because she got dirt on her clothes. What did you think was gonna happen Sami? You were crawling around looking for an earring! And then how she dressed to take the “kids downstate”. I don’t know any mom who would dress like that to go around the natural history museum with a bunch of kids, LOL. Well, there was one in my day and we all pretty much thought it was a little silly when she showed up on field trips dressed all in white with spike heeled white leather boots on. Just not very practical in my book. You can look good without being overdone which is what Sami was.

the weird bird watcher guy is gonna be the new dancing lady in the Horton square. He made a big to-do about taking that back pack from Gabi so he got a good glimpse of it.
Also did anyone notice when ( think it was) they were trying to push not-dead Nick into the river there was a moment when the picture looked weird, like someone was taking a picture or something, then it changed back? It kind of had a tint to it, like someone was looking through a lens at the Three Stooges.I see my pastor out and about in casual clothes just not in quite such a pulled together look as Eric had on. It was very "stylish" for lack of a better word for someone who has never been seen in street clothes on the show.

It was a startling contrast to see him in those light colors, especially that yummy jacket he had on. I did wonder where he came up with that great outfit so suddenly, tho, LOL since I don’t think we’ve seen him in anything but priestly attire since he started (except for that scene with Kristen, of course.) But wherever he got it, wow, it sure worked for him.
