has really been ticking me off lately. How can she be so smug when she is a baby stealing tramp, for lack of a better description. And from the look of things she appears to be trying to get EJ interested in her again while she is still pulling Brady around on a chain. Which again lends itself to the tramp description, LOL.
But the other day when she was with Sydney and she kept going on about how she can’t believe she missed so much of her infancy, blah, blah, blah. She isn’t your baby Nicole (as far as we know at this stage of the game) and you had no right to be a part of her childhood. She has no right to be a part of her life now. Of course what goes around comes around and I am sure that eventually Nicole will get her comeuppance, too. Hope I am still watching when it happens.
Did anyone else feel like it was kind of an omen of where things are going that Rafe presented all the ornaments of Sami’s kids on the tree and stated it would be their own new tradition in the future? Swing away from the Hortons to the Brady family now?
He doesn’t mention any resolution to the Sami shooting EJ storyline, doesn’t mentoin it all as a matter of fact. When then soften EJ with this new relationship is the whole thing going to go bye-bye never to be mentioned again?
When they told Johnny they were going to have to take his eye and he said, okay, when will they bring it back? Oh my goodness, tearing my heart out.
And EJ, EJ, EJ, if only he could display his sensitive side more frequently maybe the character wouldn’t be so bad but every time little Johnny hugs his mother or tells her he loves her, that look of absolute evil and jealousy goes across EJ’s face and boom, right back to his nasty old self.
But all of the actors have been superb, I think, through this whole thing, even Lexie putting aside her anger at Sami and handling the whole thing so professionally and Rafe being respectful of EJ’s place in Johnny’s life, even though it is obviously killing him to do so. Hate the story, love the actors.
when I first read it I kind of skimmed and though it was metaphorically speaking and she would find love. LOL, silly me. Then reread it and saw the surgically removes part and couldn’t believe it.
I think EJ loves his children in his own way but in reality he is in love with control. Controlling Sami, controlling Nicole. I didn’t mean to imply that James was evil and I’m sorry if you got that impression. I just meant that the character of Sami has been written as emotionally needy and I think the actress conveys that. The Sami never learning her lesson part is on the writers, the actor cannot change what is written for the character. EJ’s horrible behavior is totally on the writers. The actor does a good job with what is written for him but I think EJ has become a mean-spirited one note character and that even love of his children cannot soften him because he uses them as weapons against others. Now we will see what happens with this new storyline regarding Johnny and maybe I will change my mind. But as of now I don’t think the writers are giving EJ anything to make me feel any sympathy for him at all.
And I didn’t mention Desperate Housewives because I don’t watch it. I think you combined two posts.
There are characters you LOVE to hate and I think mostly that is because there is some form of humanity and even a little humor shown by their portrayers. EJ I just plain HATE, cannot think of one thing I even remotely like about this character. Even though Sami has done some horrible things I can still feel some form of compassion for her character because I think Ali portrays her well as someone who doesn’t think she can rely on other people, only on herself. The never learning part is tiring but that is the writers, not the actor. Hopefully now Rafe will help her understand that she doesn’t have to do everything on her own. Somebody loves her and is there for her. And I want to see EJ get kicked to the curb like the dog he is. I don’t think he adds anything to the show at this point. I don’t even like to watch when he’s on, usually go do a load of laundry and wait for his scenes to be over.
How many young children do we have to watch go through these terrible traumas on this show?
We had to watch Zach die, we had to watch Grace die, we had to deal with Sydney being kidnapped, Ciara was kidnapped, Theo has autism, now Johnny is going to lose his eye to cancer. It certainly doesn’t pay to be a child on this show!
I too, feel that EJ has just become too coldhearted. TTelling Johnny that his mother doesn’t matter any more? Not letting Johnny see his sister? And then he has the nerve to tell Stefano that his fathering techniques worked so well on him and Tony. Sheesh, doesn’t even he see the irony in that one?
Telling Nicole she can only see Sydney if she gives up Brady? That one there is no underlying love of family just his desire to manipulate everyone and pay back for old sins. Although it is an interesting juxtaposition to Stefano who must now face that fact that his "love of family" may very well cause him to end up a very lonely old man now that he has pushed Kate out of his life.
Yesterday I was in the car and "I Need A Hero", that song they always played when Bo was "saving" Hope in one of their younger adventures, was on the radio. I was thinking that there isn’t anybody on this show now that you could call a "hero", nobody who will go the extra mile for someone they love. Even Mrs. H was willing to bake medicated donuts to get Roman out of jail. And Bo was the one who instigated that. Now,pfff who do we have who is truly heroic? Brady for locking up Vivian in the sacrophagus? Stefano because he is willing to torment and kill people in the name of "familiy"? EJ because he can blackmail Sami into giving him the child he kidnapped from her? Maybe Daniel, because he was willing to inject himself but Carly stole his thunder. Even Caroline has turned into an underhanded creature who will lie and cheat in the name of "familiy".
And it says a woman who has other things on her mind ( read Nathan) finds out she is pregnant which leads me to believe it is Melanie.
I forgot about that. I knew the warden was Santana but forgot Mattson was also on SB (one of my favorite old soaps )
