I think I started watching around 1973, then took many years off, and came back in 89 after my daughter was born and I was home on maternity leave. Certainly by then everyone had VCRs so I started taping it and have watched faithfully since then.
Hope has to be at least 45 since Sean, Belle, and Phillip are all the same age and they are in their late 20’s at least. Julie was an adult and in love with Doug when Hope was born so she must have been at least 25ish which would make her 70. (In real life SS-H is 66 and Bill is 84) So being generous, if we were to believe that Julie is now 65, then Addie would be 85 and Alice would be at least 105 since I don’t think Addie was even the oldest child in their family, right? If you really want your head to explode, Julie has a very grown up son, David Banning, who has a son, Scott, who was in medical school about 20 years ago!
I think as women age they don’t look as good if they are really thin – Madonna is a good example. KA has always been gorgeous but I don’t think she’s going to age well if she keeps herself super skinny.
I know who has her because I read spoilers – but I am not allowed to post here! I guess I can say that I was surprised and after 30+ years of watching this show that’s saying something!
I think it is Melanie – we have never heard Mia say she was adopted, have we? Melanie lived in Europe – makes more sense. Also, I just think she’s a stronger actress and it will make for a better SL if it’s her.
Didn’t Lucas tell Nathan to move into his apartment? I think Chloe is living in Daniel’s apartment but I don’t think that was ever Lucas’s…I think Stephanie is living in her parents’ apartment which had been EJ’s, right? There are only about 3 apartments in Salem and people are always switching around. I think it’s funny that Caroline is now housing half of Salem! Rafe and Sami are living in Marlena’s apartment, right? I assume she and John are paying the mortgage since Sami has no income.
OMG – John was Sami’s dad when he thought he was Roman and that was way before he was married to Isabella and had Brady. She is absolutely NOT his younger sister!
I think her daughter has to be Melanie – timing is off for Mia. Besides, Melanie’s history lends itself to her being Carly’s daughter. Have we ever heard anything about Mia being adopted? I don’t think so. Maybe Carly isn’t even sure which one is her daughter…
Assumption #1 – everything is contrived. Having said that, it is totally weird that she would be sent by herself from wherever (does their mom live in Salem?) without the mom calling Rafe or his sister. And since we know she is not a short term actress, why will she end up staying there with them? I know! The mom needs to stay with the grandmother to take care of her so Gabi will have to stay with her brother and sister and go to Salem High. And, of course, she will fall for Will which is totally weird since her brother is living with Will’s mom.
