What she said, what he said, how she held it together then broke down afterwards and Rafe had such mixed emotions across his face. He doesn’t remember her and still had such tender feelings for her, unsure what to do.
Also laughed when she started explaining the family / kids situation and said, "it’s a long story…. and it doesn’t reflect well on me."
islandgalParticipantThe John Cusack movie – that was the basic plot right? Met the girl over picking gloves for Christmas, spent an afternoon together, immediate attraction, missed opportunity, and spent ten years "looking" for her while both moved on with their lives. Then found her just before his wedding to someone else? The ending was a bit … lacking… but the overall humor was classic-Cusack.
islandgalParticipantI could live with Mark Valley returning as Jack, though I’m curious how they’d write his character. If he comes across too "goofy" then it won’t work.
islandgalParticipantWHAT IF???? (and I am spoiler-free – this is an opinion)
Sami and real Rafe have a week or so to reunite – let him regain his memory – and then they decide to turn the tables on EJ? real Rafe could pretend to be faux-Rafe and then Nicole/Sami could work together and really put the screws into EJ? Or would that not work since faux Rafe was supposed to leave town.
It was just a thought anyway.
islandgalParticipantWho knows?? The Shadow knows….. cackle cackle.
Nicole DiMera holds the key. How long until Sami and Nicole have that little conversation and put 2 and 2 together.
islandgalParticipantI actually made it a point to watch – though I ff through everything without Nicole/EJ & Sami/Rafe. AS & GG did a fantastic job in their respective characters dealing with the emotions. It was so refreshing to see real Rafe and his calmness with Sami and her confusion. (Although if she said "Seriously!?" one more time I was close to muting the tv… it’s a new pet peeve of mine.)
And when she opened the door to leave, even though I knew that Faux-Rafe would likely be there, it was AWESOME!! BOOM! Yeah!! First time I’ve been looking forward to an episode in a long time (assuming today the real fall-out begins!)
islandgalParticipantI watched Monday for the first time in about 2-3 weeks and Nicole stated again that Taylor is her "baby sister."

islandgalParticipantI saw him throw her down the stairs – but haven’t watched this week yet. Assuming she died – do you think they’ll bring Brandon’s character back? I wish they would, even only temporarily! Great emotional drama potential there. Nicole & Taylor with their brother, maybe a scene with Abe, and Sami confronted with one of her ex-husbands – whom she DID LOVE – but facing him again especially at a time when she is in such tumult with R2, feeling so uncertain, so confused.
Even though I loved the original actor for Brandon, it doesn’t have to be the same actor as long as the chemistry is there.
islandgalParticipantRegarding R2 getting his "just desserts" do you think the writers would have R2 get killed – making Sami a widow – in mourning. BEFORE they return the real Rafe to Salem and Sami??
islandgalParticipantI don’t think it’s a spoiler that they’re recasting Taylor (I saw it here) so when the new actress takes over they won’t be able to show that flashback ever again. (unless they refilm it.)
March 8, 2011 at 8:06 pm in reply to: Loved, loved, loved Taylor getting in EJ’s face yesterday about him demanding… #21553islandgalParticipantLook at EJ – he wants everything. Married to Nicole, attracted to Taylor, meanwhile he’s purposefully sabotaging Sami’s marriage to break her up. To what end? If bigamy was allowed in Salem, the man would have at least three wives.
islandgalParticipantI’m sorry, but that just made me laugh.
Bo tell Carly to get out so being with his daughter alone is priority #1? *still chuckling*
Actually I could see it the other way around – asking Carly to be MORE involved in Ciara’s life so she has that female/mother relationship. Trying to get Ciara to bond with Carly – which in turn would aggravate the Hope/Carly fight when she returns.
Sounds just like a soap doesn’t it? Hope goes to prison, Carly "mothers" Ciara, they SORAS Ciara to about 10-11 so when Hope gets out Ciara is all mouthy and sarcastic, turning to Carly instead of Hope? Carly revels – feeling like she got back those years she missed with Melanie. Bo- realizing he did nothing to stop it – thought he was doing what was best for Ciara in her mother’s absense.
Just thinking…
islandgalParticipantI stopped reading spoilers a few years ago and haven’t seen any since the board changed and all spoilers were posted to the Annex board only. I didn’t even know Arianna was leaving the show! Saw that one today on this board! (So that was a spoiler to me.)
islandgalParticipantWarehouse 13 this week was sponsored by Twizzlers and they had product placement but it was much more subtle. They go into the cafe and are offered pie. Myka pulls out her candy and says, "Thanks, but I’m more of a Twizzler’s gal."
Then she was eating it again at the end of the episode, though she didn’t comment about it.
