When he was still on normal radio I would once and awhile catch it. I was actually surprised, he really is very smart and has many intelligent conversations on his show. For all the hype it gets, I didn’t think it was too bad. I think shortly after I discovered this, he was then moved off of normal radio. I honestly think most people that do not like him either have never watched his show, or if they did watch it, they didn’t watch it long enough (more than 30 minutes). No I would not let my child listen to his show, but I am of the opinion it is the parents responsibility to know what their child is listening to or watching on TV. So that may be why I didn’t mind his show, because I think we censor too much. If I am watching the Daily Show at 11 PM at night, why should he have to bleep bad words? No kid should be up at 11 PM and if they are, well that is bad parenting and I am sure in those situations the kids are subject to a lot more than a sh*t or f*ck word here and there.
And I never have, but honestly from everything I read, this show will not go on much longer. I predict in three years max it will be cancelled. Changing of the hosts and the concept getting old is going to cause many people to stop watching.
For me that is fine, I would love some more quality progamming on the TV. I doubt it will happen any time soon. I mean NBC’s replacement for Leno is just awful. Talk about shows that won’t do much better than Leno did! Whatever happened to some good drama or comedies? I mean I like some reality TV, but I think they have just taken it too far.
I agree with everything you said. I also agree to the parts you didn’t like. I did not like the O Canada part. For those of us not from Canada I would have enjoyed actually being able to understand the words being sung
I thought it was a great show. The only disapointing part for me was the lighting, but that stuff happens all the time. The whales on the floor and the all of that stuff was amazing. I thought they put a great show together and considering timezones, I don’t think they could start it any earlier than they did.
I did love the concept of four major people lighting the caldron. I also liked the people they picked to carry in the flag, not all athletes.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised, even my husband watched and loved it. Which is is hard to get him to like that kind of stuff.
Business people for Phillip and Victor. Work people are always invited and since we never see Phillip work, we would never know what his co-workers look like.
1. I think Bo saw the text message before Carly called the 9-1-1 call in. So Bo was probably on his way before the ambulance was.
2. I agree with you, that was my first thought too.
3. Didn’t think of that one, other than, at that point the reception was going on. I mean they said Mel was gone for 30 minutes or something like that. So time I think was just moving fast on the show today.
4. I didn’t care, any excuss to get Nathan and Steph to stop what they were doing was fine with me.
I do hate this SL, but maybe with Mel getting shot, the whole Phil & Mel thing will slow down and give Mel a chance to be with Nathan. Because you know as soon as he finds out what happens he is rushing away from Steph to see Mel. Hopefully before anything happens between them!
Bonbon, who do you have? I pay $130.90 a month. I have everything you have (HD & Premium Digital) except the DVR. I have two Tivo’s in my house, but I do have cable cards for them which costs extra. I also have a cable box because they insist I have to have one to keep my package, whatever, I put it in the back room where no one watches TV – lol. But I also have the highest cable modem speed they offer included in that.
EDIT: So thank you very much for this thread, because I went out to verify on my CC what they were charging to make sure I put in the right amount (I pulled the original # from my budget spreadsheet) and they are now charging me $163!!!! Last month it was $130, but it jumped up $33, I will be calling them tomorrow!!!!
Update on my edit, they did not up my fee, I had a service call fee that was charged to my bill. I remember the call, but I don’t know why it was charged as it was an equipment failure on their part. I will be calling them and getting that fee removed. So again, thank you. I don’t think I would have caught that
I thought Bo would blame Carly for leaving, but then I realized she couldn’t do anything. The boxes were too heavy for her to move and she needed to save Mel. So she called 9-1-1 and let them take care of it.
Because if Stephanie gave the note to Nathan and he came to Mel, there would have been no wedding. So as far as I am concerned, Stephanie has no right to do anything to Mel. If anything, Mel should kill Steph for what she did.
Is that this wedding goes off and Mel and Phil get married. Because the truth of what Stephanie did is going to come out at some point and then Mel is going to be torn of being faithful to her vows or going towards her heart. Which is an awful decision to have to make. Then poor Phillip, another woman marrying him that loves another man right from the start.
Hope found the birth certificate which would have the birthday on it and she know longer thinks this child is Bo’s child. In fact she was talking about Trent and how there is no way that Carly would have hooked up with Trent, but that she does believe Mel is the child. So at this point she knows everything that Viv knows.
I loved the scenes with Chloe and Daniel. They were great scenes. He was so loving vs. being the concerned Dr that he could have gone.
