That is why I said I loved the comment.  It fits right into how she should feel.

As for EJ changing.  I agree, I don’t think he is the fully changed man that he talks about, but I do think you will see an EJ who might not be Stephano.  Meaning, he won’t be switching people, kidnapping anyone, chips in the brain, etc.  I think that part of his life is over.  I think he is going to be more of a Victor/business evil.  I think that is what this Mayor SL is turning into.  I just don’t see him going after Sami anymore.

Yep, I think you are right.  I do remember him being introduced into the crowd (Austin/Lucas/Carrie/Sami) and Sami had an instant attraction to him even though she was with Austin.

At first I thought it was odd John and Brady meeting.  I wasn’t expecting that, but then the more I thought about it, it makes sense.  Brady has been a little off with his family, not really into the whole family thing.  He is very stand offish in most conversations with people.  With John knowing everything he did to Victor, I am sure they have had some interesting conversations.  So if they were all lovey dovey, they would be ignoring history, even if the history happened off camera.  So the more I thought about it, the more I liked it.  Because it really flows with how Brady is acting and how John would feel about it.

I also liked the scene and I even liked Sami’s comment.  I mean she is being way nicer to him than he was to her when he had full custody.  I think it was basically don’t screw this up so you can see them more type of thing.  Because remember Johnny didn’t want much to do with his father.  So depending on how he acted would depend on how Johnny would react to seeing his father and whether he wanted to see him more.  So I thought it was a very good thing to say to him.  We see EJ wanting to be a better man, but Sami does not.  She just knows EJ as the person that switched her husband for a strange awful man.

My understanding is they do have contracts.  I think it will be like any other character who comes into town for a short stay and then they decide to stay forever.  They do that a lot, like with Dario, Taylor, etc.  Those characters have now left but only because of the new writers.  The old one had them staying forever.

I know they had atleast one, because I remember them all fighting and EJ coming up and breaking it up the one time.

I think you would be surprised how many people miss promos.  I was on the Days facebook page and some people have no clue J&M were coming back.  I imagine that had to be on promos too and it was on the snippets.  So I think unless it is aired during the show you can’t assume people have watched it and know what is coming up.

Because he came back with that dance and I remember thinking that she would be better with EJ than Austin.  I also remember him interjecting in some fights at the apartments.  Because remember he moved into the apartment building they were all living in.

The promos (which I have not seen) may show what is coming up, but that is always the case.  I fast foward through most shows commercials and I don’t watch NBC on a regular basis.  So I normally don’t see Days promos.  But that could be the case all the time.

The snippets have not really told us much.  We saw EJ putting a pin on, or Marlena and John talking about coming back, Carrie & Austin, etc.  I think you would have to be in a hole to not know that stuff.  But the show can’t skip all the build up just because we know who is coming back.  We normally always know who is going to be coming on the show.  As for EJ’s surprise that has not been told in the snippets and if it were not for here, I would not know.  So I imagine there are a lot of people that do not know what he is planning.  I am still confused, not sure how else the writers can tell a SL without a beginning.  Even if we know what is coming.

I’m confused about what you are saying.  I am not sure how you think the characters should act for these two points.

The characters themselves would not know what EJ is planning, so it would be dumb for the show to act like they do.

Everyone knows the town square is opening, but they don’t know what is going to happen at the party.  They know nothing about the food or the special guests.  So that is what everyone is buzzing about on the show.

I personally like what is going on.  They did a good on wrapping up all the outstanding SLs and showing us hints at the new SLs to come.  But nothing has officially started until Friday and today.  I liked the snippets, both the flashbacks and the current/future clips.  Gets everyone interested in who is coming back, but also interested in the SLs to come since everything is being wrapped up nicely now.  I also love the references some of the characters are making.  Like EJ saying he knows he has been back and forth and it has made no sense but as of today he is taking his birthright place as a DiMira.  It is basically a nod to us fans who think he has not been acting like he should and has been all over the place.  Or Sami talking about money (something we have questioned in the past), or Rafe talking about them never dating when they were at the resteraunt (another complaint of them not being happy).  There has been so many lines like this that I see it as a nod to the fans.  I just don’t understand the complaining about how the wrapped things up.  They have 3 weeks to basically wrap up every SL, get the fired characters off the show and start everything over.  With that task in mind I think they did an awesome job and in addition they have given us nods of our complaints and got us interested in SLs to come.  I like these new writers and I am having a clean slate myself today when I watch the show.  I am giving them a month or two to settle in before I start complaining, if there is even a reason to complain.

I thought it was just the shock of the girls dancing, not the shock of seeing him.  I liked Ivan coming back and I liked how he made a life for himself and has a ton of money and is not dependant on her.  I also liked how odd of a thing it was, because he was always odd.  If it was, well I made a ton of money on the stock market, that would be boring and so not him.  So not the life of Vivian either.

I liked it, not sure about Kelly either.  She was getting on my nerves.  So was Kristin, which surprised me because I loved Belle.  So we will see how it goes.  Farah’s boyfriend needs to go, he is just awful to her and really does not seem to communicate well at all.  I liked Brandon and Nadia, love them as a couple.  LOved Garen, but I took the oppisite approach with his wife than you guys.  She married an actor, it is not like she didn’t know this in advance.  Just don’t have the TV on and don’t watch the show.  Then you don’t have to see it.  Make sure that he knows that she will run through scenes other than the sex ones.  Actually as a couple, you would think those would be the best scenes to run thru though :)

I will watch, because I think the behind the scenes is kind of cool.  But I can see where some of them may become very annoying over time.

KS, sure Martha was good, but she was involved too much in the Phillip bad SL that I think I would prefer not seeing her version of Belle.  I think KS has matured as an actress and could pull off an adult Belle.  Too bad both of them are on another soap right now.  I don’t see Days being able to get them back any time soon.

I love that the other character involved, while new, is tied to a couple most people love and are on Days right now.  I think they picked perfect characters for a story like this, because the families on both sides are going to have to deal with it.  Which I think that is going to make it an even more powerful SL if done correctly.  I just hope over the next month it does not progress too much so that the new writers write the majority of this SL.

I can’t believe the Dena actually picked characters who are involved with the major families in Salem.  She loved shoving characters in our face with front burner SLs all the time!!!!

I think any of the other younger non-core characters would have been a mistake.  Mainly because this SL is going to be major and I would rather have someone we know in it vs. shove a two strangers in our face for a mjor SL.
