Thanks, Jason – now it makes sense.

Too bad they built up all this business about Mike seeing Alice before she passed – that kind of set us all up for a disappointment :-/

Funny how they keep saying the whole family is together… but some are missing.  And they are bringing back Kim and Kayla but they aren’t Hortons, they are Bradys.

Not a word about Tommy… is he dead or something?  I think he went to take a nap many years ago and never came back, but I don’t remember if they ever said where he went or what happened to him?

Days doesn’t have the budget for all those great actors/characters anymore.

So we’re stuck with what we’ve got :(

At 1:42 Eastern there was an earthquake in Western Quebec.  My Mom called me at 1:44, her house shook.  She lives 30 miles from the epicenter.  I wonder if Days was interrupted by a news bulletin?

Mom’s OK… everyone I’ve heard from in that area are OK.  It was a 5.0 – biggest quake in anyone’s memory…. freaked my Mom and some of my friends out.

Benny Hill passed away some time ago.  It was a lot of "T&A" but I don’t really recall crude language.  Same with Monty Python… risquée subject matter, but I don’t recall swearing.

And I’m quite sure that the F-word *is* frowned upon in polite society in England (my father is English… been there myself 5 times).

I’m not offended by the word, heck I’m not offended by much – I used to work in a dispatcher’s office so I’ve heard some that you probably haven’t.  But that still doesn’t make it OK.

I too thought it was rather unprofessional and uncouth.   He could have chosen a more appropriate and PG rated euphemism, not an X or R rated one.

    Is he dead or something?

They keep mentioning the whole family together again… at least the living ones.  Perhaps it’s implied that Tommy has passed.

The running joke that has gone on for years is that he went upstairs to take a nap and never returned… or he’s hiding in the attic with (insert whatever child is instantly SORAS’d at that time)…

It’s the stuff soaps are made of…. but come on, people, this is just waste of airtime.

Yes, I think it will be worse if he finds out after they marry.  Then he’ll realize why she was in such a hurry.

They’ve been re-running the same do-over for what, a week now?  Maybe more?

Just do or do not and get it over with.

What makes Chloe think that once they are legally married, Daniel won’t leave her if he finds out she cheated on him?

Father Matt will be busy with more Chloe annulments…or the court will if they are married in a civil service.

    LAME.

I still think Nathan will be the one to let it slip.

I’m actually surprised that Nathan hasn’t said something, deliberately or otherwise.  He was about to I think but then Stephanie arrived.

Well if I was in Daniel’s shoes, and somebody knew something and didn’t tell me, I’d be pretty irritated at them.

A harsh truth is always better than a sweet lie, at least in my book.  And I’ve been lied to plenty.

The truth coming out may or may not change the future of Daniel’s and Chloe’s relationship but he at least deserves to know what he’s committing to.  If Chloe would so quickly and easily dismiss her relationship for a quick roll in the hay, that speaks volumes about her level of committment.  It would be bad enough if it was "some random guy" but clearly there’s some unfinished business between Phil and Chloe if they both cast aside their significant others for a quick romp.

And Chloe is so consumed with guilt and angst, she’s dooming her upcoming marriage before it even starts.  NOT a good way to enter into matrimony.

Chloe should be the one to fess up.

And yes, I can understand the thinking that if there’s remorse, the secret may be better off kept, but I’ve been there, done that, and been on the receiving end of lies like that, and they *always* come out.  It’s no fun to be the last to know.

    Always has been.

The Bradys have always been (Irish) Catholic.

The Hortons *were* Protestant, but never seemed to name a denomination that I can recall.  Seems they did away with the Protestant factor a while back.  Now they all are "Convenience Catholics".  They seem to live by some of the rules, but not others.

It’s actually quite a moral dilemma, and worthy of discussing.

I don’t like the way it’s being written, or Carly’s tactics… but the actual dilemma itself is quite thought-provoking.

Say someone you worked with was engaged, and you knew that their fiancée had cheated.  Would you do anything?  Would you feel like you should, even if you didn’t?  It really is a conundrum.

I guess from the days I used to listen to Dr. Laura (Schlessinger) on the radio… she’d say that absolutely the party who is in the dark needed to know, and she’d suggest that the person who did know, should do exactly what Carly is doing – "Either you tell your fiancé, or I will have to."

I’m honestly not sure how I would deal with something like that… I wouldn’t go all "Carly" but I wouldn’t be comfortable knowing something like that was being kept a secret and one person was going into the marriage with something that big hanging over them.

    Just sayin’.

    In soaps, ever, is ASS/U/ME – ing…

Sami "ass/u/mes" that Rafe has just left her and is ignoring her.

Daniel "ass/u/mes" that whatever is bugging Chloe is no big deal.

Back a few years ago, Jack "ass/u/med" that Jen couldn’t handle the truth that he was ill/dying, whatever that was…

Everybody ass/u/mes everything about everyone and everything then gets screwed up and they all look like… well… asses.

It’s old, it’s tired…kind of like me.  Come up with something new, please, writers!
