Yeah Carly is Chloe’s doctor, but she’s also interfering in Chloe’s personal life and that’s a line that doctors shouldn’t cross.

If I were Chloe I’d ask to have another doctor assigned to her follow-up care, then there would be one less reason for Carly to keep harassing Chloe.

I do sort of agree with Carly though – there is a moral obligation to let Daniel know, but I despise the way it is being written.

Oh and Daniel shouldn’t be surprised.  Once a cheater, always a cheater, and if they will cheat *with* you, they will cheat *on* you.  So he got what he paid for.

Was that Bill and Laura showed up together, seemingly as a couple, then before you know it, as soon as Laura is out of the room, Bill is waxing nostalgic with Kate, wondering "what if"… then Laura comes back and gets all emotional and jealous, as if her husband was flirting with another woman.

I can see Laura not wanting to run into Kate, and how inappropriate it may have been for Kate to show up there, but if she and Bill aren’t together, what right does she have to get upset at Bill?

I don’t know if they ever mentioned a specific denomination, but the Hortons were Protestant and the Bradys were Catholic.

I didn’t make the connection right away though, until I noticed later that Father Matt was Ralph Waite.

Is in his 80s I believe… I just checked IMDB.com and Bill Hayes just turned 85 on June 5 (he was born in 1925).

Susan Seaforth-Hayes is going to be 68 on July 11, she was born in 1943.  So there’s 18 years’ difference between them.

We pretty much always knew this though.

I don’t know what happened to David Banning though.

Last I heard, Hans is at home, trying to get back to normal, and receiving IV antibiotics.  Hopefully the nasal surgery will prevent infection from breaching the blood/brain barrier again, and he won’t have to go through this again.

Your continued thoughts and prayers are welcome, and Hans and his family really appreciates all the support they’ve received from the SP family for all these years.

She’s come close to telling him several times, but he never sits still long enough for her to finish her sentence.  Maybe it’s his pager, then he’s got something more important to tell her, then he has a present for her.

Both have the attention span of a flea.

If my significant other told me they had something important to say and he was clearly upset about something, I’d shut off the world for at least the 5 minutes it takes for him to speak his mind.

This is always how they drag stuff out – constant interruptions, short attention spans.. get it over with already.

I know some have gone to the trouble of annulment – which isn’t as difficult as it used to be anymore (but it’s still a complicated process and takes quite a bit of time).

That’s the one thing that bugs me in Salem, annulments fly through all the time, some must be done out of storyline because supposed Catholics are divorcing/remarrying etc., without any paperwork snafu, or being held accountable.

***EDIT… some of the Salem annulments might be civil annulments (not religious ones) –  I seem to recall some of those blue legal documents flying around where annulments were concerned.  Those wouldn’t be Church documents, they’d be court documents.

Chloe may have converted.  It’s implied that she has a long standing relationship with Father Matt, perhaps during her Leukemia or something?

She was correct in that she needed to go to confession before getting married, given her transgression, and Father Matt was right to refuse to marry them until she came clean on her infidelity.

I still don’t get how she could be in a state of grace with 2 divorces under her belt… but if she went ahead and got annulments… with Brady, addiction would be grounds to be granted an annulment.  I wasn’t watching when she was married to Lucas, but didn’t she cheat on him with Daniel?  That would be grounds for Daniel to receive an annulment, but when Father Matt came to Chloe yesterday, he didn’t seem to understand much about Catholicism when Chloe asked for absolution, so I doubt he’d have asked the Church for an annulment if he’s not even Catholic.

The other possibility, is that if Chloe’s other marriages weren’t performed in the Catholic Church, the Church might not recognize them.  I know when I married, I was married in a non-denominational service by a Pentacostal minister (so it was legal, but not officially Catholic).  Years later when I wanted to have my daughter baptized in the Catholic Church, my Priest married my husband and I in the Church… making it "official" in the eyes of the Catholic Church, moments before the baptism.

So maybe divorce is OK if the marriage wasn’t done in the Catholic Church?  I don’t know…

But yeah, she seems rather pointless at the moment.

Using Chloe to off Carly – as if Vic wouldn’t see right through that?

Viv was pretty cold yesterday to Chloe – typically she’d prime Chloe to try again.  Looks like she dropped Chloe like a hot potato this time.

I don’t understand the EJ-mania.  Never have.  I guess he’s just not my type.  I don’t see any chemistry between him and Sami, never have.  I guess we can’t all agree on everything, all the time…

Yes of course my comment was tongue-in-cheek.  I find it ironic that Stephanie was trying to trick/trap Nathan by tossing her BCPs… when all the other women in Salem seem to just throw caution to the wind and wind up pregnant left and right.

Then I wonder what I’m remembering?  Leave it to Kate to meddle…

I distinctly remember Hope fans in particular, being livid at Bo for choosing Billie – but my brain is fuzzy and I don’t remember exactly which circumstance.  If it was Kate setup, the viewers would have been aware of that, and been angry at Kate, not Bo.

And she just seems to fall into bed (voluntarily or otherwise) with any and every man that looks at her.  That’s how she has all these kids – none of them was "planned".  I guess Stephanie is the only one in Salem that’s ever heard of family planning ;)

Sami needs a big dose of self-esteem so she can think enough of herself to stay away from all these losers.

I do like her with Rafe.  I didn’t watch a whole lot of the safe house storyline, but at least from what I did see, he’s smart enough to stay a step ahead of her, accepts her for who she is, flaws and all, and isn’t trying to manipulate her – nor did it seem like she was trying to manipulate him.

She’s still supposedly in love with him, but it’s pretty easy for her to fall into a lip-lock with EJ.  That’s not a woman in love.  A woman in love wouldn’t even *think* of anybody else in that way.

    That’s my mistake – you’re correct.

We do agree though, that it is amazing how they can completely redeem a scumbag, at least enough to become a "respected" member of Salem society.

I don’t recall if he was ever charged/convicted of that – if so he’d have to register everywhere… somehow I don’t think it ever went to that (anybody?).

Still, the one consistent thing about Jack, he’s selfish.  Everything he ever did was self-serving, and while they tried to make the character "loveable" – I found him to be infuriating and I could never figure what Jen saw in him.  He let her have the short end of the stick so many times…

I do like Matt Ashford, and I even liked the comedic relief at times that Jack provided, but never really liked Jack and Jen as a couple.  I didn’t like Jen with Peter Blake either… but that’s a whole other post, and I’m glad that Peter Blake seems to be gone forever off the canvas, along with Kristen and her gang of wacky look-alikes. (Knock on wood!)

I do distinctly remember how many Hope fans were uber-ticked off that Bo chose Billie over Hope.  Not sure where that fits into the timeline, but I seem to remember at some point, he did pick Billie over Hope.

Of course they did get back together again (Bo and Hope) but from then on, Hope has never had trust for Bo.  I seriously doubt it’s deliberately been written that way – there doesn’t seem to be that kind of depth to the characters anymore, but since that time it’s just been one stupid crisis after another that drives them apart, and then it’s always been Hope that bails first.
