I loved every second of it and I am sure they did many takes more than once or twice, especially Hope
cramming the cake in her mouth.
I thought it gave them a chance to shine from their usual roles and the two Johnnys there was funny too.
Give the show some slack. We hate it when plot lines drag etc etc, so this was a true breath of fresh
air and comedic genius…
Hope they do this more often.
More like 30 years ago but I always liked Don Craig. Great character
Neil Curtis as well. He played his part so well.
Many more come to mind but alas they have been killed off, but that never stopped soaps from bringing people back I guess.
I know everyone is saying Taylor but if they had someone decent to play her, I think the storyline might be more tolerable.
Otherwise I would like to see go…
Gabbi –Yes with Will going gay she has no one around.
Quinn–Obviously with Viv gone, why keep him.
Justin & Adrienne–They really are doing little.
Dario–Getting better as an actor but really no chemistry with Melanie.
Jack–and I agree that he was a buffoon most of the time. Maybe the next writers will make her multi-dimensional
I think some popular characters may be leaving based on what Ken Corday is saying and they hope that will soften the blow with some old favs coming back.
Time will tell………..

Want to really torment the Faux Rafe…Make him sit and watch reruns of the last month of Days?
Man that would simply kill him out of boredom. No fuss nor muss. Just sit there and his brain implodes!!!
This does not bode well for the few soaps left. They are no longer cost efficient and effective and when
ABC cancels these two, you know the end is near for all of them. They can put alternate programming
on for a song, and it is sad how the mighty have fallen recently. Let us hope Days sticks around a bit longer,
as you would think NBC would want at least 1 soap remaining on the TV.
The question is how long will NBC keep putting money into them what with ratings falling like summer rain and
salaries escalating too…..
Now if they bring back Mike Horton, we can have open "Mike" night. Otherwise it is lame for the Brady Pub, a little hole in the wall establishment, having this big talent night. But then again, has this show worried about pulling off some lame tricks? Not on my watch it hasn’t. LOL
I thought that as soon as I saw he was returning. He will be the fall guy for the hit and run, though yes the question is did he act alone? I think he did unless Stefano ordered it behind EJ’s back, as EJ was growing fond of Arianna.
I predict that and it would be fitting for the real Rafe and faux Rafe to square off for the ultimate fight to the death. And for the moment you won’t be sure which one is dead and which one is alive. That would be the perfect ending for the storyline. But let’s just hope it comes quickly as it is getting to be a real bust in terms of viewer interest.
Dario, Chario,( who loves cereal) Arianna, Hairy Anna (the one no one talks about with the body hair problem), Gaby, Crabby (the one who is miserable all the time), and two who will surface someday, Herk Hernandez and an illegitimate one Hinkley Hernandez who will come to Salem to fall in love with any number of new Salemites without purpose or plot lines.
Can I lay down now? That hurt to have to think that up. LOL>……
One way they could prove it is not really Rafe, is through fingerprints. They could not duplicate that, so if the writers wanted another clue to the impersonator, somehow fingerprint him and then compare to real Rafe. That would work. But then on course we are not dealing with logic here in the first place.
The only real question is how long are they going to milk this plot?
I agree that people should question this behavior. But, how many people are actually going to put 2 and 2 together (this is Salem for one thing) and actually believe that a perfect clone could be created?
Now I know we have to suspend disbelief in this little town of Salem, what with all the insanity going on, yet few would conclude "gee I think Rafe is hidden away somewhere and some doppelganger has replaced him."
I agree it is getting a bit tedious, but based on what we are seeing it appears we are in for a long storyling here, but once the real Rafe is free, how will he get his memories back? With a shot of instant memory or something? What sort of wondrous drug will Salem’s finest have created to get all his past back?
I liked her on Edge of Night. Wasn’t her character name Deborah Carr? This is going back 30 years when I last saw that show, so I could be wrong.
And she was dating Clin Eastwood too I think.
A talented actress, she can give some comic relief (besides Viviane) that the show really needs. Hard to say if she is just here for short term or longer term.
Well my scar from open heart surgery comes from not far from throat right down a few inches from my naval. It is very prominent and 10 years later you can still see the ridge from where they cut me and stitched me back up….
Yes I agree this plot is so absurd that it defies logic, but then again so does the show more times than not, At least this one plot has wrapped up. LIkely months from now we will wanted this Rafe/Rafe storyline ended if they decided to carry it on into summer.
Hey give the kid a break here. You are so quick to judge especially when a new female character arrives. I remember you hated Melanie so much and now she has turned into a first-class character. Many others you shot down, and they too came into their own big time.
Could be the female bias here as women do not seem to like new women coming on, but get all googly eyed over every nice male hearthrob that emerges on the show.
Come on ladies, cut Taylor some slack. She is going to be a sympathetic character and she is not that bad. Don’t know what acting school many viewers here went to, but some criticisms are like experienced film reviewers raking over acting.
