Melanie has left the building. I suspect that Theresa is not sincere based on her comments to Ann about "everything is going great" or words to that affect!
Ok, so TPTB planned a huge celebration for the 50th.
Promised to bring back lots of old characters. They delivered. Sami, Andre, Steve, ever popular Bo, Doug, Julie, Gabby.
So the ball begfroe the wedding was the "big celebration"? I thought it was a dud!

one by one, the people that have kept the show going the last few years are being shown the door!!We already know that Daniel’s days are numbered. Now Eric is leaving. We have already suffered through several murders, especially Will and of course the end of Bo. There is talk that Jack is returning? for a few episodes. I thought something was up since Jen has been talking about Jack alot lately (sure sign someone is coming).
It was also announced that Andrienne and Justin have been taken off contract. I have to wonder if Nicole, Jen, Roman, and even Marlena and John will be next. There wont be anyone to have theHorton ornaments at this rate.
I wonder if this is the beginning of the end.
Is anyone else having a problem posting a new topic?? I cannot.
Several comments:
1. How is Abby able to get around after giving birth yesterday. That is remarkable considering the amount of time she was in labor!!
2. Isn’t Abby freezing withthat sleeveless flimsy blouse on? How come she didn’t have to "clean u" after giving birth. Not to mention proper feminine products!
3. What is with Miss Busybuddy Jen? She is always butting in everyone’s business but she doesn’t seem to be concerned about her daughter’s disappearance!!
4. Is there going to be any veteran characters left on this show?
5. Doesn’t it seem that Nicole and Daniel have become nothing more than fillers?
6. Sorry, but everytime I hear Flynn, I think Xander!!
7. Like JJ with Gabby.
8. I think NuCiara is doing a good job.
I’d like to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving to all the Salem Place forum members and guests. It is nice to have a place to discuss DOOL with like minded people.
Hope all enjoyed the holiday.
He certainly is a busy man. I feel that Rafe is right about his father. It seems that he has families all over the country!! Brings new meaning to "love em and leave em"
Of course, Victor is grieving. However, his attacks against Theresa, Nicole and now Eve are beginning to wear thin with me. He was right in telling Maggie that she should attend to the guest without him. However, as a powerful tycoon, he whould know that sometimes he should just hold his tongue.
He succeeded in making everyone uncomfortable at at time when they should be there for each other, trying to lessen the grief.
In contrast, Caroline, who just had her heart forever broken, was classy and strong.
What gets me is this constant Bo is my hero. Again, she is helpless and devasted until Bo appears to her and gives her direction. He is still in control even in death.
I would have preferred that Hope "suck" it up and be strong for her daughter, son and mother-in-law. After all Hope knows that the greatest tragedy in life is to outlive your child.
She needs to be with her family. I totally agree with Steve that she has obligations that need to be met before she goes off (much like Sami did) to avenge her husband’s death.
Isn’t this SL just like Sami’s? When she returned for Will’s funeral, she was devastated. She shuts herself in her room when she find EJ’s letter and gets a purpose. This just happened in the last several weeks. Never mind she just lost her son, never mind she has 3 children in LA with a nanny. She goes head long into revenge mode flys off to Switzerland.
NOW, Hope is devastated especially how quickly this happened after getting Bo back. She shuts herself in her room, gets Bo’s vision and now she is ready to run off and avenge Bo. Never mind she has Ciera and Shawn who just lost their dad who needs her support.
Look familiar. I just feel that this is a repeat (even Eve went revenge mode). Is this how all peopl cope with death?
I think I would be more concerned with my children and Caroline and how death is affecting them, not running off o avenge the dead.
Actually, she was divorced from Bo, so techinally not his wife. Abe should have married them a the party.
I really understand that she was devestated over Bo’s death. However, first she cannot function to the point of not even aking sure Ciera and Shaen D are ok. Next, she wants to stay locked u in her room. Finally, she wants revenge (along with Victor).

I am not sure if it is a record.
While it is taking forever, I think time is going slowing. After all, Hope married Aiden, almost died, reunited with Bo, went to a homecoming party, went to the park, had Bo die in her arms and returned to an empty house all in 2 days time.
Following that logic, Abigail and Ben have only been at the cabin the same 2 days (they left the night of the wedding) and she went into labor a day later.
Since no one else changed clothes, it going very slowly! But both stories are on same timeline.
I like the actress and I think she is being a typical teen. There is no need to expect perfection because she is a teen who will be going through the most tramatic event of her life! I also like Chase. I think they are very natural and believable.
I wouldn’t even mind if Chase stayed around.
He and Ciera will have something else in common.
I feel that there have been too many deaths lately. In an town where no one dies in years, we have endured more deaths in the last few months than forever. In my mind it diminshes the impact with each death. I fear this is not the end of them either.
To me this was way too rushed. If this was the paln, I think it would have been better to be sudeen and they found out later that he was sick. There still could have been the rekindling of Hope and Bo. It just seemed too rushed.
