100% agree!!
justwonderingParticipantLot of hard feelings about BO as TPTB wanted him to stay for far less money and he said no.
Often times, major characters seem to slip out of town quietly or go to mail a letter never to be seen again.
I enjoyed the goodby.
justwonderingParticipantWell it certainly is better than going up stairs at the pub and never being seen again!!!
I thought CB really showed her talent. Too bad TPTB didn’t let her shine more in the first place!
Really sorry that there was no ending for Johny and Sydney!
justwonderingParticipantYes, TPTB knew Ali was leaving since January, giving them time to write a send off. James came back from his vacation to Peru and his enlightenment and QUIT. He didn’t agree to stay until she left or until they can wrap the story, he just announced that he was leaving. It was about a month difference from when he left and she finished. Of course they film 4 months in advance so they should be on screen until Sept. it would be hard to explain why he was gone for a month before her, so I am guessing this is how they explain it.
justwonderingParticipantStop–it was Kristen who put all this in motion to get back at John and Marlena. She ruined his reputation and caused the church to doubt him.
Victor made the video available to the world because he believed that Eric was a willing participant and deserved to be knocked off his pedistal. All Victor cared about was Brady.
Marlena was also desperate to stop Brady and Kristen so she bought into the presentation not knowing it was Eric on the video.
Nicole is way down the list on ruining Eric’s reputation. I feel that the church should have done investigaing before defrocking him. As far as the congregation, if the plot was revealed, most people would come around.
I said before that Nicole has very low self esteem stemming from her father. I think subconsciously she feels she doesn’t deserve love, and no one would choose her without help. Granted she had the power to allow him to choose, but in her mind she would never choose her. I feel that the ultimate irony would be if he decides not to return to the church and takes up with Jen.
justwonderingParticipantI agree with you, Patti. I feel that is why she feels for Gabi
justwonderingParticipantI think this incident really affected Kate because she knows shat it is like to lose child. Billie and Austin were out of her life for a long time and I feel thai is why she gets over involved in her children’s lives.
She seemed very sincere to me.
justwonderingParticipantSO, Nicole was the consolation price? In Eric’s mind, "Well I don’t have the church, so I guess I will take Nicole". If this is true, then Eric is just as bad as Nicole.
Wow If that is the case, then she REALLY never had his heart. He did make the choice and told her it was final. I am not saying what Nicole did was right– it wasn’t, but he is pretty fickle (IMO). Especially if (as other’s are speculating) if Eric ends up with Jennifer!! He can’t have the church, so he will take Nicole. Wait, she lied so he can have the church, no he will take Jen?
What happen to this strong vocation? NO decision about his life should have been made so quickly!
justwonderingParticipantAre you thinking of gel nails? They are better than acrylics because it is applied right over the nail but last forever!!! They don’t chip and you can take them off yourself. They last 2 to 3 weeks and are reasonably priced.
justwonderingParticipantThanks for your support, Brandy!!
I do think that Nicole is her own worst enemy, however, Eric did contribute. He went to speak with a advisor and decided this was God’s will. Nicole started to tell him when he interrupted to say he had made his decision.
I feel that despite her strong independent appearance, she suffers from very low self esteem. I think it is because of what her father did to her with the teen porn. She secretly doesn’t believe she is worthy of love, especially someone as good as Eric. Everyone she loved, Brady, Daniel, EJ has always ended badly. Brady wanted Chloe, Daniel wanted Jen and EJ was consumed with Sami. Eric’s love was the church, even though Nicole was his first love, he chose to leave her.
This is why she couldn’t tell him, cause she knew she would lose again. She has no confidence that she would ever win, even though Eric told her he picked her, she knew she was his second choice.
justwonderingParticipantWait a minute. Eric is angry because Nicole didn’t give him the choice to stay in the priesthood, and now he will be with Jen???? There is no reason why he cannot return to the church. They released him from his vows, however now that there is proof of Kirsten’s deception, he can return to the church. If he is so concerned that he never got to choose– now he can!!!
And I agree, that Eric professed that he had made his decision and there was nothing left to say, so he is responsible for some of this. All through this relationsip, he has constantly made compromises– married in the church, no pre marital sex, etc and always gave in so he did make his own bed!!!
justwonderingParticipantSami has always been a knee jerk reactionary. SHe never really grew up because she was the number 1 schemer on the show. She should understand Nicole because she is just like her!! Sami has NEVER let the truth get in her way, starting with telling Austin he was Will’s father, changing birth certificates, etc.!! Perhaps we feel that she should have matured by now at that is why it is annoying us. I hope that the truth comes out about EJ and Sami and the kids take off without EJ.
I thought Gabi did a great job that last few days. I also think that she was realistic in giving Ari to the boys and taking off. In the beginning, when she was in school, they would often be busy when they were suppose to watch the baby so Gabi would go to school. I also think that after Will and Sonny married, she felt like the third wheel. I though she was as good a mom as Sami or Hope!! It was like she finally woke up and discovered who Nick really was (especially when she said she had overheard Nick threaten SOnny). It really made sense to me, not playing for sympathy.
justwonderingParticipantI thought that Marlena showed a great deal of restraint when speaking with Sami. Yes she is bound by her profession to keep everything a secret. However, she just found out just what Sami is capable of!! Had they called the police in the first place, Nick would still be alive and in jail for attempted rape. After all Kate and Sami were witnesses!!!
However, if anyone deserved to die it was Nick! He killed one man, stocked Melanie, and played mind games with almost everyone in Salem. He was not a nice person!!
justwonderingParticipantWell, she can always get a letter saying he won’t return. Or she can get word that he has been killed. THat would probably work better than having him return short term to break up with her and further devestate Ciera!!
Either way, Hope needs to pick herself up and move on. However, I am not all on board that she has to have a new man in her life. Everyone says that Nicole should stand on her own. Why can’t Hope? I like Aiden, but I don’t wee the rush!!
Peter musdt have invested well to be able to quit the business!
justwonderingParticipantIn the beginning, I was very disappointed that Gabi was the killer. It just seemed like the obvious choice and I wanted a real twist and surprise.
However, I really thought that Gabi nailed it today. Her acting was superb. Her explanation about the whole situation was so believable. Let’s face it, Gabi was always naive about men and wspecailly Nick. The fact that her lover waas gay is wnought to make any girl insecure, so it was easy for Nick to move in on her by showing her attention!!
At least her explanation shows that she was no taken in by him, but infear of what he could do.
She has really grown in the role and I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
