Yes, Marlena is a psychiatrist, but this is her family. Carrie has always been more of a loving daughter to her. Sami is forever telling Marlena that every bad thing that has happened to Sami can be traced back to Marlena not being there for her. It doesn’t seem to matter that for the most part Marlena wasn’t there cause she was kidnapped be Stefano, or by the fact the Sami made her own bed. Sami has NEVER owned anything she has done—it is far easier to blame Marlena.
Carrie has always looked to Marlena for advise and approval. She is easier to care for.
That being said, it is not easy to treat all your children alike. I have 5 kids and each has been my "favorite" at different times in their live. It is all about who needs me the most at the time. Whoever it is becomes the ‘favorite". it is not about loving one the best as much as who needs the love the most at that moment. Hopefully it is not all of them at the same time!!!!
Rafe has gone down the road that so many men from DOOLs have gone. He has become the "hero" man. Like:
1. Austin, who ran off with Sami when she was in trouble and then when she was in the car accident,
2. Bo who went off with Billy and CArly numerous time leaveing Hope,
3. Dr. Dan who jumps from one sick patient to the next,
4. Jack when he ran off for his next adventure.
I almost forgot Rafe running off during Anna’s tenure on the show. After all Rafe started when protecting Sami in the safe house.
Seems these men aren’t happy unless they are the "knight in shiny armour".
Caroline’s on screen is very limited and she seems very frail. Sure hope she is feeling alright. As for Kayla, they are really under-utilizing her. But maybe she feels that a paycheck is better than nothing. by the way, whatever happened to Adrienne and Justin?
I also love Will and Marlena. These 2 truly seem to enjoy working together. Marlena will be Will’s rock cause I don’t think that Sami will have a positive reponse to Will’s news. I was really against this SL, but must say that Chandler is doing a great job of showing the emotions that a person must go through under these circumstances.
As for EJ, he is an abuser. I really don’t believe that EJ even knows what true love is. If he did he would have never turned to Sami for grief sex, he would have gone to Nicole for comfort. it seems that EJ is all about the chase and never about the commitment.
Ditto for Sami, if Rafe is the true"love of her life", she would have been with him.
But I sometimes feel that Jen would prefer Daniel to Jack. Jack would be her fall back guy cause I guess she really doesn’t want to be alone. I understand she is careful with Jack, after all he has burned her too many times to count. But Daniel is no prize either, he seems to change girls like others change shirts! ALso he is a runner- meaning when things get tough, her runs away, usually to another woman!!
Either way, Jen loses cause Jack is about the chase.Once he accomplishes it, he is on to the next great adventure ( not necessarily a woman, just any adventure).
So glad you decided to join. Like Patti said, we have our opinion but most try to accpt the ideas of others. Hope you enjoy your time here.
My thoughts about your list.
1. Carrie- yes their marriage was in trouble. it really started when they returned to Salem. It didn’t help that they were on opposite sides on John’s troubles. They never had time for each other. I don’t think that Carrie set out to "fall" for Rafe, it was convenient. Meanwhile, Austin is the most naive man I have ever met. Such a sap that he didn’t see that Abby was "falling" for him. Not to mention that he was WAY too familar with a student!!! However, Abby didn’t help the situation and let it go on way too long. To say, well she apologized, I really don’t think that it was enough. Although getting physical might not be the best way to react, it might help Abby realize the harm she did. I know that Carrie is a cheater, but I think it really hurt cause Abby "confided" inher about her man’s troubles so Carrie felt embarrassed that she sympathized with Abby and was deceived. All that emotion led to the slap.
2. Madison– I agree about her. I never liked her and always felt she had an agenda. I just didn’t realize she was a puppet for Ian. This makes me feel that she is not the hot shot exec that she pretends to be! Instead of her being strong and independent, she is just a little girl who is bullied by her husband. Don’t reallylike her with Brady, and I must say that he is not too smart when it comes to his love life. Really feel that HE should be with Nicole.
Just cause alcohol is not allowed in dorms doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Some school do not have an alcohol ban if the studen is of legal age. Can’t remember how old Chad is cause it keeps changing.
Lucas just mentioned that Will was 18, I thought they had him closer to 20.
is it possible that Will has something to do with fixing the election? I thought that Nicole had told him she had a job for him to do around election time.
