Wow, I would love the idea that the kiss was to get back at Sami for inviting Austin. But if that was true, why would Carrie tell Marlena that she has feelings for Rafe?
Carrie had some good shots at Sami. Neither one of them is perfect and their history will never let them be close.
It is ironic that Marlena seems so close to Carrie since she is Roman’s daughter and not Marlena. No wonder that Sami feels strained towards Marlena.
I just can’t believe that Rafe and Austin are being portrayed as some clueless. Usually it is the women who are dumbfounded.
Actually, I can buy this story. Abby has always adored her father, despite the act that he continually diappointed her. Experts say that a girl’s vision of love depends on her relationship with her dad. Maybe this is why she is attracted to Austin. He is an older man who showered her with attention, exactly what she needed from her dad. She mistook this for true feelings of love and did all in her power to make it happen.
Anyone can have "false" memories. The mind can play tricks that make a person believe the fantasies as real. Let us just hope that she doesn’t trick herself into believing she is pregnant. That is all we need to have happen—what fallout that would bring.
There are girls today who become obsessed and go after the guy. However Abby has always been portrayed as smart and level headed. Is this a subconscoius thing with Abby to go after a man old enough to be her father cause her father was always leaving? Girls can be very manipulative, especially when Austin seems to be REALLy dumb!!!
I just wonder if Jack and Jen will immediately blame Austin for ruining their little girl!
EJ might "know" that Will was the one who shot him, but he has no proof, especailly since Lucas plead guilty to the charge and served his sentence. Will should have just told him—"prove it" and walked out.
As for blackmailing him about being gay–it is not agaiinst the law. However, it is a good excuse for him to finally admit it.
How did each of them know that the secret was true? It could have been an emty envelope or something made up. It doesn’t make sense.
But I think that is the whole point of this episode. Showing that all these people are guilty of lies and deceit is the theme of this episode. Better than that, Abe, Jennifer, EJ, Nicole, Sami, Rafe and Carrie are all guilty of deceiving themseves. Each of them are responible for the situation each is in. The old adage that "the end justifies the means" can never work. That and the fact that the truth always comes out.
Even Bo and Hope couldn’t decide what to do, but at least they were in it together. This secret will affect many people. Whatever Stefano’s secret is will also have fallout.
But i really enjoyed this episode and look forward to tomorrow.
It looked like a nice crowd, certainly more than 12. Maybe there was a limited number of seats available, or a ticket was needed to attend- after all it is in a "mall" area. There also could have been additioanl seating in another area. I thought the venue was nicely decorated and the debate was well done.
But I would have liked to hear more of the questions. For all the build up, it was a quick scene. I guess it is more about the tainting of Abe’s character.
I love Stefano. Every show needs a villain and I voter for him over EJ. He just has more class than EJ. Kate completes him and he keeps her out of meddling. I like them as a couple better than Victor and Maggie.
I agree with you, Patti. Alis has been in this business a long time. Saw her on the Twilight Zone when she was about 6. So acting is her way of life. Saw a segment on TV last night with her and hubby. Quite a pair. I think that she has a lot of talent and many interests. She seems like a person who thrives by being busy. She is definitley an asset to DOOL and has improved from her younger days.
I thought the debate was done well. It looked like it was well attended. After all Salem is not the biggest town in the US! But I liked the way it was staged. It was great to see EJ at a loss for words for a change.
I agree that Will was awesome. But I also thought that Sami was great. The emotion in her voice was priceless. those scenes were fantastic. You could fell the tension between them.
The icing on the cake was Sami walking into the office. howeve, I am disappointed that they are going this route with Rafe and Carrie. I wish that there was a friendship there and nothing mor and that Sami was over reacting about the. Don’t like the kissing.
As for the debate—-Abe could have kept his integrity by changing EJ’s questions but not taking the real questions. Somehow this will come back to haunt EJ.
I really enjoyed the whole show. I am interested in the secrets from the box. hate that outfit on Madison. Don’t really understand shy the 180 from madison, but it seems that Kate values Sami’s opinions more than Maddy does. Don’t really trust Madison.
Enjoyed Will’s scene but would love for EJ to be taken down a few pegs. He is just too sure of himself.
I thought that the scenes between Sonny and will were well done and informative. Sonny is supportive, but he is willing to let Will come out in his own time.
I kind of got Jennifer’s reaction, in that she is afraid of losing one more thing. I actually thought it was believable.
As for Rafe and Carrie, not a fan of this SL.Why can’t Carrie get a job in the public defenders office, they always need lawyers.
