Yeah, Smittyarnie is the one I miss on here. She is never on here anymore. I followed her when she was going through her cancer and prayed for all of you when you asked. I especially miss Smittyarnies Christmas ‘poems’!!
Amen to that! I rarely give a care about ANY of the Hollywood folks, but he truly touched me. And I know I am not the only one!
As ‘Dirty Dancing’ is my fav movie of all, I cannot wait to see her! The main reason it is my fav, though, is Swayze!!
We all seem to complain about how ‘unrealistic’ these shows are, and yet I think that is exactly why we watch. To escape reality. I have been in Law Enforcement for 24 years and some of the stuff I see in the jails and things the Salem PD does make me laugh. But if it was realistic, I would not want to see it in the first place, as I do not want to watch ‘COPS’ when I am off duty!
I meant no harm…sorry! I was actually meaning to reply to ‘Bono’. I do agree that Ari is very misguided in this, though maybe HER ‘feelings’ get in the way of being rational!
I normally don’t get into these discussions, but I would believe that there are just as many ‘anti’ EJ/Sami folks out there, too. Sami has done some horrible things, and I think most of it stems from when Alan raped her. She always seems to be trying to get someone to love her or whatever. She will always be messed up unless she gets counseling and works through her past. This coming from someone who has been there, done that, though certainly NOT on this level!! There is no excuse for what either her OR EJ have done, and they BOTH deserved to be horse-whipped! However, I try to keep in mind that it is JUST a show and nowhere close to ‘real life’. It does not matter what the writers do, someone is going to be unhappy! I guess we could have her with Rafe one week, then EJ could have ‘visitation rights’ the next week!!
Oh, my!! I will be sending up prayers for you. That sounds awful! Please take care of you for us…we only have one you!!!
I certainly didn’t mean to tell anyone that they had to convert to my way of thinking. I just agree with JennM, there are some hills worth dying on, but this certainly is not one of them for me. My husband and I have an awesome relationship, and I know how blessed I am for that. It doesn’t matter to me if we celebrate ‘occasions’ or not. We have a ‘date’ every other week, and that is more than enough for me. JMHO
I used to love doing birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Now I lok around and see all the ‘stuff’ around me, and think ‘What for?’ My husband and I decided very early on that Valentine’s Day is a moot day. And that has become ‘all about us women’ as has most other things in our world. I say back off and let it go. If you have a good man who treats you and the children well, then let THAT be your gift for EVERY occassion!!
Or plan your own party and dinner. At least that way, you won’t be disappointed!
