You’re not kidding. Beautifully acting and actually quite touching. It’s a complex relationship and was really moved watching them today. Now I remember why I love EJ so much. I know he’s done awful things, but honestly I think there’s a side to him we rarely see. Loved the scenes today.
I could not agree with you more! And, what’s up with the sudden bonding between these three? Does anyone else feel it’s contrived? Just annoys me to death!!
I’d have that same reaction. I could care less if "he is dying" and would tell EJ to keep the kids away from him. But, EJ is the master manipulator, so I’m not surprised Sami goes along with it. He certainly works his magic on her. Of course, if I were her and EJ was there, right in front of me, I don’t think he’d have to do a lot of persuading to get me to do anything.
heheI totally FFed that scene between Bo and Daniel. I hate, loathe, and depise how all these men feel the need to come to her "rescue" all the stinkin’ time! I loved when Daniel hated Carly. He SHOULD have! I mean, she kept his daughter for him for 2 decades. Of course he had a right to be angry, but I guess no one is allowed to stay angry with the always well-intentioned Carly. Puke!
As much as I love to hate her at times, I love this snarkiness she has. Love how she’s rubbing it in Ari’s face. Much prefer this confident Nicole than the beat-down one she played when she was married to EJ.
Don’t get me wrong, Sami is my favorite character on the show, but she needed to hear what Will told her. And, what a fabulous actor! He’s really got some talent! I think that whole scene was perfect. I hope she really takes to heart what he told her. Once she finds out he’d rather live with Kate and Stephano than him, I hope she fights to get him back in her life and her house.
Dear God, NO! Do not put Rafe and Carly together! Carly is a giant mess and I wouldn’t want to wish anyone on her. It still drives me crazy how Daniel has come back to her defense. YUCK! I will always want Rafe with Sami. Yes, she has her moments, but they have a real, geniune love there. Just wish they would stop fighting and start loving. But, when you have EJ pulling the strings, I can’t say I’m surprised that there’s trouble there.
Could not agree with you guys more!!! And, I hate that everyone keeps feeling sorry for her! It said on Lawrence’s tombstone that he died in October. So, you’re telling me that in 5-6 months Carly has been able to disrupt half of Salem and worm her way into Bo’s life and his bed?! Just flat out insanity!! Even Daniel’s backtracking in his dislike of her. Seriously. I don’t understand why anyone is on her side. Honestly. Can’t understand it at all.
I was honestly SHOCKED when he walked with her. I didn’t expect that at all. I know he’s going to use this to manipulate Sami, but I don’t understand how he thinks that Rafe won’t be suspicious. Surprising twist for me.
I definitely don’t think he’d want to tell Victor, when Vivian is standing right there. And, I have to agree with DeeLan and Patti, he wants the chance to tell Mel herself and before he does that, he’s not going to want to spread the word and have her find out from someone other than him. I think he’s doing the right thing and I don’t think he’s been a hypocrite at all.
I actually haven’t minded the length of this storyline either, because it’s been full of such amazing acting and drama. I’ll be sad to see it end honestly.
I agree with everything you said there, Patti. Carly deserved what Daniel dished out to her today. She doesn’t seem to understand why anyone would think she did the wrong thing. Daniel wasn’t even given a chance to decide for himself how to handle Lawrence. She made that decision for him and it was the wrong thing to do. She seems to continue to do the wrong thing, then get defensive when someone calls her on it. I find her to be very selfish and prideful. I loved Daniel giving it to her. She deserved it and Daniel deserved the truth.
She drives me crazy. I don’t get for a second how someone who’s been away from nearly 2 decades (that’s assuming Mel’s around 20) can ingratiate herself into everyone’s lives so quickly and not apologize at all for the chaos she has caused. It seriously blows my mind that anyone is defending her or helping her. And, don’t get me started on Bo’s role in this. It’s like he’s forgotten what his life is about. Thrown everyone away to help this woman. I don’t get it!!
