movies and books! I read the book in 1979 when I was in the hospital after giving birth to our son and could not put it down! The movie was a favorite because of Richard Chamberlain…who I have loved since he played Dr. Kildare way, way, way back in the day! He was outstanding in the role of Fr. Ralph!
luckeyParticipantgot together with Rafe.
luckeyParticipantrealizing that his tough, arrogant, controlling demeanor didn’t work, so he went for the quiet, silent, gentle, supportive demeanor and Sami melted at his feet…just what he knew would happen. As long as a man caters to Sami in every way and never crosses her, she’ll be his lapdog. EJ will play the role until he has her reeled in up to her eye balls. When it all comes apart…and it will…she’ll go into one of her crying pity parties wondering how this could have happened to her….AGAIN!
luckeyParticipantevery episode all the way through, I still watch the last 15 minutes each week to see who’s going home. Last night’s episode was interesting enough that I kept switching from a show I had recorded back to The Bachelor to see what was happening. I have the same opinion that you described about that show. It’s like this awful accident on the freeway that you know is not good for you to look at…yet you can’t stop! I heard on GMA this AM that Sean is a virgin. I think People Magazine has him on the cover with that headline. That would be very interesting when they get to the point in those last dates where they have the fantasy suite.
luckeyParticipantwe haven’t see the younger man/older woman thing in awhile because Rafe is certainly younger than Kate. As for EJ/SAMI, EJ may accept Sami for who she is; but, Sami surely does not accept EJ for who he really is. She’s fooling herself seeing only what she wants to see and what EJ wants her to see. A leopard does not change its spots and EJ is definitely a leopard!
luckeyParticipantthe real EJ will resurface; afterall, he is a Dimera.
luckeyParticipantI’m just not at that point with these two characters. It would be much easier for me to watch them if I was at that point; but, alas, not there yet…probably never will be.
luckeyParticipantAfter all the sexual abuse that EJ has inflicted on Sami, I can’t imagine anyone liking that character. Every time I picture Sami in that car with EJ and the smug remarks he made to her regarding saving Lucas’ life and replacing Rafe with a fake and EJ laughing about her making love to someone she thought was her husband! So many of his hurtful actions against Sami were so blatantly sexual in nature. It’s very difficult for me to watch the two of them in any scenes together. I know that’s just me, but I always felt very insulted, as a woman, regarding the writers’ uncaring feelings toward women who may have experienced this in real life. JMHO.
luckeyParticipantI hope someone mentions Kate having slept with EJ too. I’m not sure that Sami knows that little tidbit.
luckeyParticipantI have such an abhorance for the character of EJ, I can’t stand to see his face or hear his voice. I’ve been FF’ing through all of their scenes. I had supper last night with one of my best friends who has been watching Days since it started in 1965. We always talk about what’s going on in the show and I was really shocked when she said that she’s gotten so disgusted with the way so many of the characters have been written that she’s ready to stop watching. She is the one person I thought would NEVER stop watching as she always said to give it a chance and it would get better…now she’s ready to throw in the towel. I’m right behind her at this point.
luckeyParticipantmansion. That was one of the most used sets for so long and now it’s gone. In fact, I don’t think we’ve seen EJ’s place of residence since he moved away from the apartment across from Sami.
Speaking of Sami, it’s really making me sick to see her and EJ back together. I sure was happy to hear Brady remind her that his situation with Kristen is almost a carbon copy of hers and EJ’s. Boy, if that isn’t the best example of "the pot calling the kettle black"…hmmm…a little pun there and I didn’t even plan it!
luckeyParticipantSami and EJ, this is just another step in the direction of them being a couple again. He and the writers have been trying to make EJ a redeemable characer (impossible for me), so it’s time to make Rafe unlikeable; hence, he sleeps with Kate and makes us disgusted like we have been with EJ.
luckeyParticipanta speedy recovery.
luckeyParticipantknown for allowing the bad guys/gals to get their come-uppance. They usually just fade away with no responsibility being taken for the carnage they inflict on the residents of Salem, so I don’t look for anyone to get even with Kristen. I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt it.
luckeyParticipantNick ushered Gabi out the door of The Pub to go get the sonogram and he never put on a coat!
