I don’t mind a whole show devoted to one storyline. I enjoyed the Abigail losing it storyline with Ben. I enjoyed that EJ Sami ep that ended up not being true when she found out about his affair with Abigail. But a drug addiction storyline cannot be wrapped up in one day. This was not the way to handle this strong material. I loved having Jack there and would have liked to see more of this played over time. Jen needed a slow descent into what we witnessed today. It was way too rushed for me. This is the storyline I would have rather invested in instead of endless silliness with Aiden.
Agreed. I just wish it didn’t happen all in one day! I wanted to see the progression. Show Jennifer hiding the pills. Show her freaking about JJ and Abigail. I loved her scenes with Jack and Lucas. I loved the flashbacks. I just wish there was more buildup.
Yup. I knew it. Wish I was wrong though. So many better storylines to pursue.
I like watching Maggie and Victor. I am enjoying Eduardo and Adriana. If the outbreak story was done a bit better I would enjoy that too. I crave more on John’s crazy dad’s history and how it will effect Paul. I actually like Gabi and JJ together.
They could have just had her go away and have her family refer to her treatment and visits without showing them. Then after some time you bring in the new actress. Just constantly showing us that she’s getting worse doesn’t advance the story that much. I’d prefer to watch how Jennifer handles the bad news than see Abby shuffling around in her robe crying.
I agree that Hope is capable of making her own choices but I feel that she has been shown growing close to Rafe on her own. I just like the idea that Bo trusted Rafe. Aiden always left me cold. Also Aiden agreed initially to murder Hope. He’s not a good guy, period. As far as the redeeming Bo storyline I agree it was rushed and sloppy but my feelings on the history of this super couple stand. Bo has been dead since before Christmas. It’s quick for her to fall in love but in Salem time either moves really fast with kids going from infants to teens literally overnight or it drags on endlessly with NYE lasting more than a week and everyone wearing the same clothes for days on end. I don’t hold Salem to the same time standard as the real world.
I agree about Aiden. Don’t care about the character. Don’t want him with Hope. I would rather her with Rafe whom I trust and know and who is blessed by Bo. This whole foray into an Aiden twin is a waste of time for me. I don’t want him back. And the fact of the matter is Aiden did consider killing Hope. He actually put on the mask and got the tie etc. How can you trust someone who almost killed you? The whole thing just doesn’t work for me. The best acting in this episode was the dead bird.
I do enjoy the directing, lighting and music lately though. If only they could write a story worthy of the talents of the composer and director!
I definitely want to be wrong but didn’t JJ sleep with Eve when he was still in high school? 18 is legally an adult. I predict Abby continues to decline. Ciara refuses therapy and begins to confide in Chad. Eventually the little defacto family will bond. Poof automatic love triangle. Also Hope will be mad at Rafe. I hate this whole idea but I think this is the direction we’re headed in.
I agree that Abigail was never really redeemed for the whole married man jag she went on with Austin and EJ.
While I agree Brady has a hero complex, he’s also the town dolt. As for Theresa, she doesn’t get to be redeemed just because she turned blonde and drew a few dress sketches. Other characters got redeemed with a planned out redemption storyline. Jack was remorseful, wrote about it, apologized to Kayla. Melanie was once the premiere party girl but she grew to love Maggie and respect herself. Those redemptions I can buy. Theresa to me, is just like EJ. No remorse shown. I just don’t buy it and without some real change I never will. Brady might have a hero complex but there is nothing complex about Theresa. Jealous and selfish.
